THE UNSEEN CREATURE -short story ²

I was working as a security guard at the "ST. LOUIS FLOURISH HOSPITAL" which is famous for its fantastic and beautiful buildings and the resources which are provided to patients. On one side it is popular to its glories but on the other hand some creepy things also happen there. But only certain members of the working staff knew about them.Its was my dream to work in this hospital once in my life.

Today is my first day. I reached there to fulfill my duties along with one of my mates where we met with our senior MR. M HAMEL under his observation we work.. He was so good towards us. one week later the shift was changed and we are working as the night guard.

Some days later at night MR. M HAMEL called us and told us that today he will not join because he is not feeling well , so we have to go there alone. we both reached there and after checked all things we sat to our places after some time my friend's phone rang he picked up the phone and was so tensed and worried after the call ended. I asked the reason after calming him down, and he told me that one of his loved ones got into an accident and his condition is too serious that he needs him to be admitted in the OT as soon as possible, so I told him to go there, and fulfill all the requirements and I'll handle everything here. After hearing this he runs to the hospital horridly. At that time I was all alone in the hospital as a security guard. So I decided to go and take a round outside the hospital to maintain security.

When I'm all done I went to my place and sat there. It was around 12:15 O'clock. I feel a little sleepy I noticed a man coming from inside the hospital. He was about 45 years old with long hair and beard which covers his face completely due to which I barely saw his face. I noticed he was having problems in walking, so I offered him a wheelchair, but he refused, so I told him to sit on my seat, but he refused again, so I asked him why he is here. He told me that he wanted to check his information and wanted to make some changes. I was a little surprised and tired, so I told him that this is not my work He has to go to reception and ask the receptionist to do it. But he continuously declined and told me to do it... I take him to the reception and start checking all the details whatever he told me but won't find anything. So I told him to wait here and call the receptionist who is sleeping in the hallway. The receptionist searched all the documents but didn't find any details. So I asked him when you got admitted. He told me in 1998.

He searched whatever he said after some time we got information but the Receptionist and I are looking at each other's faces full of fear and shock because at the end of information there is a mark of the death of the patient and this year is 2023. I look at the person's face which is slightly visible in dim light covered with marks and stitches. My mind gets blank and the fear runs down to my backbone. I hold my breath and run as fast as possible out from the hospital my body shivers in Fear, and it's hard to speak a word. I suddenly bumped into someone. When I looked closely he was MR. M HAMEL. I hugged him tightly and started crying. He calmed me down after some time I told him the whole story.He just smiled and told me to go home and take a day off.

A day later I came to the hospital and told everyone the whole thing no one believed me everyone says that you are dreaming. Suddenly MR. M HAMEL entered the hospital I ran to him and told him to tell everyone whatever I said is true. He said from some days he has a terrible sleeping schedule so that night he takes sleeping pills and wakes up in the morning. My face gets pale, and I feel dizzy suddenly I remember the receptionist so runs towards the reception and asks about that person who is with me that night. All the receptionists are a little confused and look at my face. They asked me the name of that receptionist. I said it's John. Everyone looked at my face and told me to take some rest because that person died two years ago during work due to a heart attack. My whole body my mind everything is getting weak, and I feel dizzy suddenly darkness covers my eyes and I passed out two months ago.
