Chapter 20 - I Never Loved You

Myeong Jo looked at Jimin with

guiltiness in her red eyes.

Two persons cannot be in two universes. Both of them had one difference in them

and that was the scar. That made them different from each other so they could

reside in their own universe in their own way. Until both of them fell down

from the cliff. That's the time the real wife actually died and vanished. And

Myeong Jo took her place because the comet granted her last wish.

Now her heart felt guilt. Because of her, the real wife died. Because of her

stupid wish, Jimin had to lose the meaning of his life.

Jimin himself was shocked at his own theory. His mind began circling around the

world.

"H-hyung, it's not true......it's just your theory..........don't...."

Jungkook mumbled and turned his back away as he was too surprised.

Myeong Jo kept staring at Jimin, waiting for his next step. She was feeling so

much pain and guilt. She caused a blunder by making that wish. She became the

reason a love had to break.

A single tear escaped her eyes.

What have I done?

Jimin's face turned blue. He couldn't figure out anything. He was too shocked

that the only person for whom he could even die just left him. She died a long

time ago. He should've mourned for her death and he still hasn't. He's been

living so happily while he should've been grieved.

His wife died because of a girl's selfish wish. A girl wished for her own

happiness and that made his wife face the greatest sorrow. Tears raced down his

cheeks as his lips shivered. His chest burning up with regret, pain, agony was

fuming deeply. He let out a groan of shock; holding his chest.

Myeong Jo was about to hold him but refrained from doing. She herself was

disgusted by herself.

Jimin looked at Myeong Jo. And did something no one literally no one ever

expected. All on a sudden, his fist tightened and he gritted his teeth out of

anger.

He slapped her.

The loud noise of slap echoed in the room and she fell down on the floor.

Jungkook looked at both of them and shouted at his elder brother.

Myeong Jo touched her swollen red cheek. It took her a while to realize what

happened. And when she understood who hit her.............she couldn't bear it

anymore. Her heart tore into little pieces.

"You did this! You took her away from me! My wife died because of you,

Myeong Jo!" he shouted in broken voice as he was sobbing loudly.

She breathed heavily and kept facing the floor. She couldn't.......she didn't

want to believe Jimin just slapped her. Her body ached and she cried too.

"You know what she means to me! You very much know How Much I love her!

How could you keep it a secret?!"

His voice raging each second and it sounded like a devil. Jungkook couldn't

stop him or say anything. He just stood there; facing the ground and shedding

some tears silently.

"WHY DID YOU DO THIS?! WHYYY?! HOW CAN YOU NOT THINK ABOUT ME FOR A SINGLE

TIME?! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME EARLIER!?"

Those words were worse than curses. The words really affected her. She slowly

looked him. He was a crying mess.

It caused her to wonder if this was actually Jimin. Her Jimin. Her cutie, sexy

and lovely Jimin. Him who used to shower her with care and affection. Him whose

words were so sweet as honey. Him who loved her for the first time in her life.

Him who made her feel happiness that she always craved for.

"You know what I think? You did this on purpose! You loved being the Queen

and have so much wealth, accessory, keeping people under you, have me as your

slave! You enjoyed making a fool out of me!" Jimin shouted at her.

Her mouth opened in shock. He was saying some words she never meant. Why was he

acting so cruel? How can he change so much? For a person? How can that mouth

that once uttered so many lovely words now speaking the harshest words ever?

Where was the real Jimin?

"A luxury life is all you wanted! You took advantage of me. Of everyone!

You are a cruel, selfish, vicious girl who always thinks about herself. You

always wanted happiness for yourself and you ended up killing my wife!"

Suddenly he knelt down and began choking her! Jungkook gasped and tried to

break him away from her.

"Jimin Hyung! Stop! Stop right now! What are you doing?!" he tried to

pull him away but Jimin pushed Jungkook away.

Myeong Jo couldn't take it anymore. It was the cruelest heartless, merciless

scene she ever witnessed! Someone and that too someone she loved so much, for

whom she almost died two times.......was strangling her. His tears were falling

on her cheeks. He looked nothing more than a monster who only cared about his

wife.

Most importantly, she didn't budge or fight back. There were three reasons for

that. One was she had no energy. Two was she would never want to live the rest

of her life; having this memory as her darkest, saddest memory. Three was if

the person she loved the most wanted her to die, then what's the point in

living? She wanted to die earlier too so it won't matter now. So she didn't

budge and let him choke her.

"GIVE ME MY WIFE BACK! GIVE HER BACK TO ME! YOU ARE SELFISH CRUEL AND THE

MOST HORRIBLE GIRL IN MY LIFE! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU MYEONG JO!!" he

strangled her so tightly that she knew she was dying.

Then Jungkook had nothing to do but to push his own brother. He pushed him away

from her; causing Jimin to fall on the side.

"ARE YOU CRAZY!? YOU WERE ABOUT TO KILL HER!" Jungkook looked really

mad and yelled at him.

Myeong Jo couldn't breath properly. She felt her throat tightening and red

stains on them as she felt severe pain. Her hearbeat was so loud for anyone to

hear. She coughed; blood was forming on the tip of her tongue.

Jungkook took her in his arms and helped her to breath. "Noona, khensana?

I'm so sorry.......please....."

She was going through different emotions right now. She was crying, her body

was aching and she was unable to breath properly due to the sudden choke. At

the same time, she was having so many pains that she felt like she was about to

pass out. More accurately, the pain that he caused in her heart was the most

aching.

"I loved you so much............and you never did.......you never ever

loved me..........." Jimin softly mumbled not looking at them.

Jungkook glared at his selfish brother, "Jimin Hyung, I want you to get

out of here right now. You are more cruel than you think she is!"

But all these time, Myeong Jo actually accepted all his harsh words. She knew

she deserved them for hurting him. So she didn't complain. But when he said the

last sentence, it really hurt her. Really. She felt her small beating heart can

anytime stop thumping because of that sentence.

She never loved him?

Jungkook made her sit upright; holding her hands. Jimin just sat on the floor;

sobbing for his dead wife; hiding his face inside his palms. His back was

facing both of them.

After Myeong Jo's throat felt a little bit better, she looked at Jimin. Her

lips trembled as tears made her whole face wet and salty.

"No..............."

She spoke for the first time. Jimin and Jungkook both looked at her.

"D-Don't you dare......say.........." she paused as her voice broke

and her throat ached.

She coughed a little and continued,

"T-that I never.........loved you....."

Her firm voice made Jimin shook inside.

After hitting her and almost straggling her to death, she still managed to say

that? She still doesn't hate him?

Jungkook made her stand up which was a really hard thing. "Let's get you

to my room. You need rest."

And like that, the couple that once loved each other like crazy again separated

their paths.

"Ji Eun-ah, I'm okay stop worrying."

"Aniyo. You haven't eaten anything since yesterday. You must eat

something, Unnie. Or else you'll fall really weak." she held the spoon of

soup in front of her.

Myeong Jo scoffed a bit, "What's the point?"

Ji Eun sighed, "You have to be strong to return to your universe. So be a

good girl and eat."

Myeong Jo opened her mouth after a lot of explanations and ate the food Ji Eun

prepared for her.

Jungkook entered the room and stood beside the bed, "Noona, feeling

better?"

She nodded slowly.

After she was finished eating, she looked at Jungkook.

"Jungkook-ah, I have to tell you something."

He nodded and sat beside her; Ji Eun sat by the other side.

"I-I don't have time left here. I have to go back to my world." she

said lowering her head.

Jungkook widened his eyes, "How many days left?"

"Tomorrow."

He gasped in shock and looked at Ji Eun. She was also surprised.

"You mean tomorrow? You have to go back tomorrow?" she asked to be

sure.

Myeong Jo nodded.

"What do you have to do?" he

asked.

She thought for some time, "I'm not sure maybe I've to go to the same

cliff. Stand there and wait. Then maybe the comet in my universe will see me

and drag me back."

Silence took over them.

"What I need you to do is....... You have to ask Jimin to allow me."

she said.

Jungkook raised his eyebrows, "W-why?"

"I'm a convict now. Without his permission, I cannot go outside of the

castle. You have to ask him for permission. He won't even face me

so.........." she pouted a little.

"So if you don't go to the same place from where you were transported,

does that mean you won't go back?" Ji Eun asked.

"I-I don't know. For now I want to go back badly." she smiled a

little.

Ji Eun and Jungkook exchanged glances at each other.

"There's no point in living here. I came here only for 149 days. And my

time is over. Even if I stay here, I won't be able to live because of what

happened. So it is important for me to go back to my world. I have left my Oppa

alone for so many days." Myeong Jo told them softly.

Jungkook remained silent for some time, "Okay, I'll tell him. Don't

worry."

He gave her an assuring smile.
