Chapter 14 - Lee Joon

"Your Majesty, a terrible incident has happened in our

Kingdom." The Minister wiped his sweat away with a handkerchief and he

looked very worried. Deadly worried.

"What is it about?" Jimin kept signing

some documents; not looking at him.

He stuttered, "I-I'm afraid a prisoner has

escaped last night."

"Get the FBI on it and find out about his

last location." Jimin put the documents aside and took a glass of water.

"A-aniyo, S-sir....you don't

understand.." The Minister hesitated first.

Then he said looking very worried, "HE has

escaped."

Jimin finally looked at The Minister, "Who?"

The Minister gulped down his throat and removed

his glasses.

"L-lee Joon...."

Jimin's eyes widened. For a minute, he couldn't

actually figure out anything. Memories filled with anger were flashing in front

of his eyes. He tightened his grips.

"He....I don't know..... The Commissioner

informed me this morning he escaped. They are trying to find him

everywhere." The Minister informed.

Jimin stood up from his chair. He ran his

fingers through his hair, breathing heavily. H-he's back!

"Spread the words around the whole Kingdom.

Anyone sees him, report directly. And put the the castle under tight security.

Especially The Queen's room." saying he began running out of the room.

"But My Lord! The Queen doesn't know anything."

Jimin looked at him, "I'll take care of it.

Just do as I say."

Jimin ran through the halls to their bedroom. He

has to protect her. He has to protect his wife before he gets her!

He opened the door. Myeong Jo was just sitting

on her comfy chair and reading a book. She looked at him and smiled.

Jimin closed the door and suddenly hugged her.

Which made her really surprised.

Jimin's mind had only one thing. That is to

protect her. If she.........if anything happens to her....he'll not make it. He

has to keep Myeong Jo safe from that bastard.

"Jimin? Khensana?" she asked.

Jimin let her go and made her sit down on their

bed. He sat beside her and took her hands in his. Myeong Jo was getting way

more curious by his each action.

"Is something wrong?"

Jimin gulped down his throat, "Myeong

Jo-ah.......there's something you must know."

She raised her eyebrows a bit. Confused about

his words.

"About what?"

Jimin took a deep breath and slowly rubbed his

thumb over her soft hands.

[Flashback]

"Who's calling you so much?" Jimin out

of curiosity asked his newly wedded wife who's been getting countless calls on

her phone and she's not picking any of it.

"It's nothing." Myeong Jo put the

phone on silent mode.

"Really? It's been more than 6 months we've

been together. I can sense when you are lying." he said.

Myeong Jo looked really nervous now. Of course

she wouldn't want him to know about this matter.

"It's really nothing, Jimin." she

tried to put a fake smile. That didn't work.

Jimin took her phone suddenly and looked through

it. Before she could shout at him, he asked showing her the caller id,

"Who's Lee Joon?"

Well, she's caught. There's no way to hide from

him now.

Jimin scrolled down the history and saw 138

missed calls and 467 unread messages.

"Myeong Jo, I hate to break your privacy.

The matter seems really serious. So will you tell me or do I need to see these

messages?" Jimin asked firmly.

Myeong Jo took the phone away from him and said,

"No! It's not what you're thinking! He's just.........." she paused.

"A friend."

Jimin sat beside her in a chair, "Well then

you would've talked to him."

"He's like.........super obsessed about

me." Myeong Jo's words made Jimin confused.

"He was the son of the head of royal

household. We've been friends since 8. And he says he had fallen in love with

me the day he met. He finally proposed me when we were 17." she lowered

her head.

Jimin had only one question in his mind. No,

actually several. Did she say yes? So this is his boyfriend? She's having an

affair?! Lee Joon is her secret lover?! Did they kiss?

"Sooo you said yes?" Jimin asked, he

was sweating already.

"What? No! Never! Aish.....Jimin!" she

shot a death glare at him. He felt relieved.

"I said no. And that's when things got

worse. He wouldn't stop troubling me. You know he was always forcing me.

Forcing me to love him back. He became sick mentally day by day. When I became

the Queen, I had the authority to lock him up for some days. But that didn't

work. He was so obsessed with me that he even wanted to destroy our

marriage." she looked at him.

Jimin got more interested in this story,

"You mean he wanted to stop you from getting married?"

"He became totally a psychopath when he

became aware I was getting married. He became wild and violent. Once I tried to

settle things down with him then he suddenly pointed a gun at me. Before

anything could happen, the guards took him away. The news of my marriage made

him complete mental. He hurt many maids and would always bang on my doors. He

even tried to...................."

She didn't continue.

"He even tried to what?" Jimin asked.

She shook her head; she didn't want to tell her husband.

"Is it something you can't tell me?"

this time he asked with more care and concern.

"No.....just.......he....well......."

she stuttered her words.

"Anyways, we sent him to a mental asylum

for treatment. Later I heard he got more savage. The doctor said he needs love

to heal. Only love. Can you believe that?!" she chuckled.

"So they bought him back to the castle. And

whenever he used to look at me, he had this..........devilish smile...........

Ms. Oh; his mother committed suicide seeing her darling son like this. But he

never cared for her and didn't stop his actions. He would text me non-stop like

I Love You, I Miss You, You Are Only Mine.....stuff."

She sighed, "He even sent me some nude

photos of him and sexual messages at midnight that would just scare me

off!"

"We got married a few days later. I was so

relieved that I will be free from him amd he will at least move on. But no.

Since the last six months, he's been sending me these texts.........I didn't

even read them. If I block him, I don't know what he might end up doing. If he

hurts you..........."

Jimin's eyes filled with anger. He didn't know

about all these. His wife had gone through so much and he couldn't even help

her. He reached his hand and held her hands. She looked at him. Jimin caressed

her hair softly before saying,

"It's okay......Nothing will happen. I'll

protect you always. Now that you're mine, no one will even think about taking

you away from me."

Myeong Jo smiled at his words. She stood up and

sat on his lap, hugging his neck. She knew no bad things will happen to her if

Jimin's with her. No one can harm her. Jimin hugged her back, keeping their

hands intertwined.

Myeong Jo ambled along the mountain path. An

unusual humming sound vibrated in the air. It sounded like a swarm of bees.

Then the buzzing transferred to the rock beneath her feet. It travelled through

her body and she felt a tingle that ran up to her fingertips. She figured out

she is near to her destination. She smiled and rounded the corner and the

source of the sound revealed itself.

It was the whirruping waterfall. Their first

ever date after marriage. She smiled ear to ear recalling that beautiful

memory.

She had an amazing taste in adventures. Though

she wasn't alone. She had a bodyguard to accompany her.

She walked towards the rocky area drowned inside

the water pool. The water was gushing over the rocks. At its widest point, it

was surging and plunging down the mountain. It had a beautiful serenity-pool at

the bottom. It was veneer clear.

She placed her hiking bag over a giant rock and

stood in the warm water, tickling her feet easily. She breathed and smelled the

air around her.

The bodyguard stood far at a distance, checking

on The Queen every 2 mins.

Myeong Jo climbed over a giant rock and overhung

her legs down. The flowing water's sound and the drizzles of little drops made

her feet wet. She began picturing the same old but gold memory of her and Jimin

in front of her. She loved that moment.

As the waterfall was on its widest point, the

drops were heavy and loud; it made the surrounding's sound less to hear. As a

result, she didn't even hear someone shot the bodyguard behind her.

As she was staring at the giant waterfall's

beauty, suddenly she felt something fishy. Somehow she didn't feel right.

She looked behind and didn't find the bodyguard.

That was weird. He would never leave his post.

Worried, she slid down the rock and kept looking

at that area. She began walking towards that grass area where he was supposed

to be standing.

"Mr. Choi?" she even called out his

name.

When she reached the certain spot, she screamed

out of surprise. The bodyguard was shot on his head; he was laying down on the

ground, dead.

Her heart began beating fast. She couldn't stand

there. She ran back to the big rock she was sitting on and took her phone out

from her bag. She called Jimin quickly.

"Jimin! Something's wrong! Mr. Choi, the

guard I took with me......I just found him dead!" she shouted over the

phone, panicking.

"W-what? W-what do you mean?" Jimin

asked; he stopped what he was doing.

"I was sitting over a rock. Then I turned

around and he was not there. Next thing I know is he's shot and laying on the

ground."

Jimin didn't know what was going on. But all he

knew she was in danger. And he had to save her.

"Okay, Myeong Jo-ah.......I need you to

stay there. I'm coming. I'm coming with others so just stay there. I'll be

there, okay? Don't worry......" he quickly ordered the Minister to call

backup and he got ready to go out.

"Jimin, I'm scared.........." Her

voice shivered as she hid behind a rock. All she knew was she was not alone and

someone bad was with her.

"J-Jagi, I know.....I know you are. I'll be

there right away. I'm coming okay? Just stay still.....I..."

Suddenly there was no response.

"Omseyo? Myeong Jo? Yah? Min Myeong

Jo!" Jimin screamed throughout the phone. But there was no response.

Myeong Jo was too scared to even look at her screen. Because the scene

in front of her was way more terrifying.

Lee Joon was standing in front of her with the

same devilish smile. Her hand dropped the phone unintentionally out of fear.

The man she feared most was right in front of her.

Her body was out of control as she began

trembling. Her feet was under water; making her feel cold. Her wide scared eyes

were staring right at him.

"Hello, Myeong Jo." the smirk raised

higher. His voice made her more scared.

"Aren't you happy to see your old beloved

fri......I mean lover?" he had a gun with him.

Myeong Jo slowly stood up on her feet.

"I'm so hurt and pained that you don't even

take my calls. I craved for your voice so much..." Joon took steps towards

her; getting inside the pool.

Myeong Jo somehow found little courage to speak,

"J-Joon.....please......"

He laughed like a devil from the hell.

"Gosh! How that luring voice of yours turn

me on!"

Myeong Jo just prayed he won't end up doing

anything tragic.

"It's so easy to leave me, right? I told

you I love you like crazy.....I became a psycopath for you......I craved for

your skin, your voice.... Why did your run away from me? Why? When you knew my

love for you was beyond the world?" he still didn't change.

"Joon, you know I don't love you. Stop what

you are doing! Nothing will happen if you keep doing this to me. I'll never

have feelings for you." she muttered, now stepping back slowly.

He laughed again, "And have feelings for

that jerk? That King of Busan or something? Park Jimin?! How long has he even

loved you? I loved you for 15 years!! 15 damn years! And you had to l-leave

me.....You hurt me so much!" he pointed the gun at her.

She stepped back as he stepped closer. She was

almost in front of the bottom of the waterfall. He stood right in front of her,

with that smirk.

Myeong Jo was so afraid that she had tears

visible on her cheeks. Her voice dried out of fear yet she mumbled,

"J-Joon.....please...don't do this....."

"Of course, I won't. I won't kill you.

Never. I'll just take you with me." he ran his filthy hand over her face.

She immediately flinched to his touch; feeling disgusted.

"Does it make you remember something? Something

about tearing your clothes apart and kissing that neck of yours?" he tried

to make her recall about the time when he was about to rape her alone in her

room. That's the thing she didn't tell Jimin. Fortunately before anything could

happen, the guards arrived on time and took him away.

"You remember that night, right? I was

about to see your whole body but couldn't do it..........after I take you with

me, No one's gonna stop me from destroying you....."

She felt disgusted by his words. Her breathings

became louder and fast. Her heart was crying out of fear. There was no way for

her to escape his clutch. She felt weak, dizzy. His hand travelled to her neck;

almost leaning his face.

Myeong Jo pushed him away and ran passed him.

But the rocks on the water caused her to fall down and her head hit on a sharp

rock. Now her forehead was bleeding.

Lee Joon laughed at her poor condition. He shot

one time at the sky just to scare her and it worked. Myeong Jo definitely felt

the biggest fear right now.

"You really think you can escape me now?

Foolish you! Where's your Jimin? Your husband, huh? I'll show you!" saying

he sat over her stomach and began straggling her throat!

"You Hurt Me So Much! You Made Me Feel So

Pain! Why?! Why you *****!?"

Myeong Jo couldn't struggle anymore. She felt so

weak. His strangling and the blood losing were enough to cause her this. She

was feeling pain so much but she couldn't let it out. Joon kept strangling her

so hard that she felt her voice was dead. Her feet that was struggling under

water slowly stopped. She didn't feel herself anymore.......

She closed her eyes.

Only one thought was inside her mind right now,

"Why didn't Jimin come to save her?"
