"Jimin?"
He looked at her while going through some files.
"Hmm?"
"The Minister of Health is requesting for
more free hand sanitizers and free treatment for the orphans. I think we can
give the guarantee with the sanitizers but the orphans seem a bit
problematic." Myeong Jo spoke as she was handling the country issues.
Days were passing and relationship between them
were growing more lovely. Except for the part where she wouldn't let him in any
type of intimacy. She's been handling many cases and issues around the Kingdom
too. And looked like, she's too busy with them.
"Yeah, giving free treatment to orphans
sounds awkward." Jimin also took a look at her file.
Myeong Jo thought for a minute, "How about
sending a doctor every week in every orphanage? The board can pay the doctors
extra."
Jimin nodded, agreeing with her.
"Let's do that."
Myeong Jo moved on to another file.
As she was working, wearing glasses, she even
looked more beautiful. Jimin couldn't stop looking at her. He couldn't
concentrate on his works. Well, his love for his wife was so genuine. He stared
at her and smiled. He still remembered the day he first met her. That shy,
little Queen. He still remembered how his first kiss was with her.
However he tried to brush it off. Though he
wanted to get in touch with her, to caress her in every way; he too would
remind himself as that was too much. He should give her space. He had noticed
she was handling the issues around the kingdom remarkably well so he thought
she should continue her duties as a queen first.
But as she continued, their relationship began
drifting away a bit. She wouldn't find time for him. Always busy with her
works. Jimin was glad at the fact of her improvements. But he wanted to spend
time with Myeong Jo as well as handling his Kingdom. But seemed like she didn't
even notice him these days.
Jimin looked at the clock and closed the files
he was looking at. He put it back on the table and walked to her table. She was
so deeply focused on the files, didn't even notice him standing. He put his
hand on her table: his index finger knocking on the table.
He coughed to get her attention. She looked at
him.
"Do you need water?" she asked.
"I need some time with my lovely beautiful
wife." he leaned closer to her face.
Myeong Jo's cheeks turned red upon hearing that.
Every time, he would get romantic, her stomach would get filled with
butterflies. She bit her lips amd blushed, looking away.
"W-why all on a sudden...you are
saying--" she mumbled under her breath.
"In case you didn't notice, you are hardly
giving your husband any attention since the last few weeks. I remember last we
were actually together, was the night you consoled me and eventually left
me." Jimin's romantic words turned into a bit of provoking and upsetting.
She looked at him, now understanding that he was
in need of her.
"I-I'm sorry. I was too busy with--"
she removed her glasses and stood up.
"You are right. Let's just be with each other." she smiled.
Hurting or making him upset was the last thing she wanted.
Jimin smiled at her offer and held her hand,
"Let's go!"
Jimin was taking her to "only he
knows" place. She asked him repeatedly where and why are they going there.
He chose to remain silent and only replied saying it's a secret.
As the sun was almost on its way to set down,
they reached inside a little forest. It was beautiful with all those green
trees, birds chirpings, the sound of river and nature mixed.
And he finally came where he wanted to take her.
A smile formed on Myeong Jo's lips.
In the middle of the nature, there was a
campsite with necessary items such as food, toilet, tent, fireplace, bending
chairs. A large tent was set up with a chair, table and a cute bedding inside.
There were also extra clothes and foods. At one side, there was a temporary
toilet. In front of the tent, there was a fireplace, burning with woods.
"Oh Jimin! Did you prepare for all
these?" Myeong Jo asked him, had a huge smile on her face.
"What can i say? Jimin is really good at
impressing his Queen." he smiled at her.
Myeong Jo giggled and both of them sat in front
of the fireplace.
The evening was quite scary with some animals
howling at a far distance. Jimin grilled steaks for her and she helped him in
cooking. They finished eating and kept the fire going. It was cold a bit.
They went inside the tent and pulled up the
chain.
Myeong Jo was quite disturbed at one thing. They
had to sleep together. She felt a bit awkward and weird to sleep with him.
Though she trusted Jimin. So she decided to end the night by sleeping beside
him. They'll just sleep, right?
Jimin laid down on the mattress, covering himself
with the blanket. Myeong Jo was putting some cream on her face. Then she turned
the lamp off and laid beside him, keeping a distance between them.
Minutes passed and somehow she felt cold. She
was wearing enough warm clothes and had a warm blanket on, even the fire was
running outside. Yet her body was shivering.
She tried to wiggle into her own body, trying to
warm herself.
Suddenly she felt herself in someone's embrace
and trust me, that was the warmest and comfortable. It took her a minute to realize
that she was being hugged by her Jimin, keeping her as close as possible to his
chest.
She didn't object. The fear, the awkwardness
went away from her mind. She snuggled more into his body, not just to keep
herself warm but also to feel his infinite love and care.
Jimin was satisfied. At last, his wife let him
touch her, to hug her at night. He wanted this. He longed for this for a long
time.
"Sorry I didn't let you do any physical
touch with me." Myeong Jo mumbled.
"Shh...it's alright, baby." he stroke
her hair softly, now sniffing her hair a bit.
She lifted her gaze up, her eyes on his eyes.
Jimin glanced upon her eyes as well. Both of them were staring so close for the
first time.
Jimin's hand that was busy stroking her hair,
moved slowly to her cheeks.
Myeong Jo observed every touch of his carefully.
Her eyes locked with his. Her hand, against her mind, touched his cheeks as
well as too.
"S-sometimes, I feel like you are
completely another person..." Jimin's words made her moving hand stop in
place.
She widened her eyes, confused.
"W-when you say you can't remember that or
this, when you say you cannot recall me, it hurts me so much. T-that I feel
like I lost you. I lost my wife..." his trembling voice made her had goosebumps.
Her hand that was caressing his cheek, she
slowly was pulling it away but Jimin's other hand held her hand. She was
getting afraid and confused.
"The way you behave, the way you don't
l-let me be with you...You not being comfortable around me. I feel really
frustrated and upset. I-I want to love you so much that you'll forget the whole
world but seeing you not letting me hurts me. It makes me wonder if you are
even...my w-wife."
Myeong Jo's heart began beating fast. She gulped
down and her mind froze. Did he find out? Her hand that was in his grip, began
shaking a little. Her lips started trembling slightly. Eyes of hers were not
wanting him to continue anymore.
"But no matter what, when you smile at me,
when you love me back, I forget the whole world around me. I really feel like
the luckiest man to have you. Even though you forgot me, you are trying your
best...to love me. Which is why, you make me happy in every way."
Turning his words into beautiful words suddenly
made Myeong Jo relieved.
She smiled back at him nervously as she was
still not over the fact he almost thought her as another woman. She was on the
verge of getting caught a moment ago.
He let go of her hand and she pulled it to
herself, lowering her head.
Suddenly Jimin raised her face by holding her
chin and pressed his lips on hers.
Taken aback of his action, Myeong Jo couldn't
believe he was actually kissing her. She tried to push him away but it took her
3 seconds to melt in within his kiss.
His lips were too sweet and nectar-tasted that
she slowly did kiss him back which she never expected. Jimin smiled in between
their kiss, glad at the fact his wife accepted him.
She held onto his shirt and pushed herself to
him more. Never knowing how beautiful amd amazing a kiss felt, she wanted more
of him. Jimin caressed her cheek and his other arm held her waist, pulling her
closer. Their kiss deepened with each second passing and it filled with love,
care, passion, also a bit of heat.
Both pulled away together, taking deep breaths,
the tent filling with their sounds of breaths.
Myeong Jo's heart was beating happily fast. It
was her first kiss. Her first ever kiss. And she had it with him. The most
amazing person of all universes. She had her first kiss with her husband Park
Jimin.
Jimin didn't hesitate to pull her into his warm
embrace again. She wanted it too. She wrapped her arms around his torso and
rested her head on his chest, hearing his heartbeat. Jimin rested his head over
her head, slowly closing his eyes.
"I love you, Myeong Jo." he whispered
sweetly.
At first, she refused to reply. It would be a
sin if she does that. But her emotions couldn't control her fluttering heart so
she also said,
"I-I love you too, Jimin..."
Jimin, who was half way to his sleep, heard the
sentence clearly. He smiled and felt the most happiness in his heart. He
tightened his hug and slowly, both of them passed out together into dreamland.
--------------
A sound woke Myeong Jo up. She shot her eyes open and raised her head.
The fire outside was out. It was after midnight. She saw Jimin asleep, holding
her still. Though the fire went out, she felt warm inside his chest. So she
went back to sleep.
Suddenly the sound was heard again. This time
clearly. Myeong Jo raised her head again. The whole tent was dark. The
moonlight falling on the cover; made the outside's shadows on them.
She heard the noise getting louder step by step.
She sat upright and tried to hear more clearly.
Suddenly unexpectedly she heard a wolf growling softly.
Her eyes were widened, unable to judge whether
her hearing was right or not.
Soon it became true. The shadow of a wolf
lingered over their tent. There was a wolf outside.
She gasped, covering her mouth with her hands.
She saw the wolf's shadow circling around the tent. She shook Jimin without
looking at him as her eyes were fixed on the shadow.
"W-what?" Jimin unknowingly spoke out,
his eyes still closed.
"Jimin! Wake up! There's a wolf!" she
shook his arms again.
He opened his eyes slowly.
"What did you say?"
She pointed at the wolf's shadow and Jimin
looked at it.
He had the same reaction of hers and sat upright
quickly.
"W-what should we do?" Myeong Jo
whispered, her voice shaking.
Jimin thought for a while, "Nothing."
Shocked by his answer, she stared at him with
her mouth slightly open.
"What, you want us to escape or kill that
animal and ruin our night?" he laid back down again without any worries.
"For your kind information, there's a
bloody wolf out there!" she screamed in silence.
"So what? He's not gonna come inside or eat
us." he chuckled.
Myeong Jo was surprised to find him this
courageous. Her heart was beating like a race car just seeing the wolf's shadow
and he's got not worry.
"Aish, stop thinking so much. Come
here." he pulled her in his arms, now she was laying beside him.
"When the morning comes, he will be gone by
then. We'll be fine, Jagi." he pinched her cheek and smiled.
Myeong Jo couldn't help so she ended up smiling.
He kissed her forehead and closed his eyes.
"No one can harm you as long as I am here.
You're safe inside me." Jimin mumbled so that she feels safe.
His words worked. Myeong Jo, without feeling any
fears or worries, slowly held his arm and fell into sleep.
When the morning came, the wolf was gone like
Jimin said. They packed up and went back to the castle together, with a
beautiful memory of their Love.
