Episode 18

Leopold signed the treaty with Alesha for the business, thus initiating that alliance and once again apologized for his grandfather's behavior. He was also glad that she hadn't tried to intervene again. With the deal made, Alesha and Ritter needed to return to the county.

From the window of his room, the old man watched them leave, feeling a sense of relief. Since he had heard the two talking, he hadn’t been able to sleep peacefully, and when Alesha walked near where he was, his body trembled with fear; that woman exuded a dark energy, likely stemming from her ancestors, as the Von Hansen had demon blood. Alesha and Ritter were in the carriage.

"I thought you would really do something about the old man," Ritter said.

"No, I just meant to scare him. If I had done something more serious, then I would finish him off."

"By the way, in two more days, the letter will be sent."

Alesha smiled mischievously at Ritter's words. The time had come to ruin the perfect marriage of that pair of fools.

Johan had been helping Delia with her duties, teaching her as much as he could. Although Delia had grasped some concepts, she still wasn't working quickly, which led to her workload piling up, annoying the Empress, who regretted allowing her son to marry that girl.

That day, the Empress held a meeting with the ladies and brought Delia along, but she quickly demonstrated her lack of manners by shouting at one of the older women. When this woman asked her a couple of questions and Delia failed to respond, the woman criticized Delia’s rudeness and how her mother was negligent in providing her with a proper education.

"How old is she? Twelve? Not only did she shout at her, but she also poured tea in the woman's face. What if that tea had been hot? I can't even imagine what would have happened," the Empress said.

As a result, the Emperor was furious with Johan because Delia's actions had also angered the woman's husband, who expressed his discontent with the heir to the throne before the nobles.

"At this moment, I agree with your mother, there is no excuse," the Emperor added.

"Mother, father, Delia told me that woman was very rude to her as well."

"And so what? I went through that too, but I didn’t throw tea in their faces," the Empress replied.

"I will make sure Delia apologizes to Duchess Gill, and I’ll ensure that this does not happen again." Johan kept his head bowed.

Despite everything happening, he felt quite annoyed and frustrated. This made him recall a brief conversation he had with Alesha when she was in prison. Alesha had told him that Delia wasn’t ready to be an empress and would never be.

"I only see a jealous woman, but I assure you that Lady Delia will be the best empress that ever existed."

Alesha then began to laugh at the boy's words.

"Anyone could be a better empress than that dimwit. And don’t feel important; the only valuable thing you have is the throne. I never cared about you," she replied mockingly.

Johan exhaled a sigh at the memory and decided to go out for a horseback ride to clear his mind.

Three days later.

A letter arrived addressed to the Emperor, but not just to him; every member of the royal council received that same letter, containing documents that proved the illegal dealings of Marquis Lange. Everyone was astonished by such a revelation, and the Emperor immediately ordered an investigation to confirm its validity, as they needed to ensure that everything was true before the information went public.

The palace was in chaos; the Empress received the same letter, and she had Johan in her office. Johan couldn't believe what he saw.

"It must be a trap; it’s impossible for something like this to come out right now," Johan said.

"Your majesty has already ordered an investigation; if it turns out to be real, do you know what that means?" The Empress looked at him sternly.

"I know, mother... but I'm sure the truth will come to light... it’s all a lie." Johan insists.

After this, he decides to leave; he must warn Delia about what is happening. However, upon arriving at the room where a tea party was supposed to take place, he enters to find no one there, and Delia is crying.

"Your Highness... they... they say my father was a criminal..." she clings to Johan.

"What? How do they know that...?"

Delia pulls back, looking at the prince in astonishment.

"What do you mean...? My father was a good man; he was not a criminal..." she grips the prince’s arms tightly.

"I know... someone malicious sent those letters to the nobles, and apparently, it wasn’t just to the royal council."

"Your Highness, please, prove that it’s all a lie..." she pleads.

"I will do just that, and we will find the one responsible; I swear he will pay for everything."

Johan embraces Delia as she continues to cry.

"You look happy tonight..." Ritter mentions.

The albino was reclining on the bed, and Alesha, who approaches him, climbs onto his side, settling above him. Ritter delights in seeing her in a nearly transparent nightgown.

"I am, thanks to you. The palace and the capital must be in chaos, and the girl must be crying in the arms of her beloved."

"Knowing her... that’s true." Ritter runs his hands over Alesha's legs, sliding them beneath the nightgown. "It’s all she knew how to do."

Without waiting any longer, in a swift movement, he knocks Alesha onto the bed, positioning himself over her and kissing her lips passionately, while his hands work to remove the nightgown. Alesha raises her arms to allow him to take it off, though they have to break the kiss, but immediately Ritter seizes the opportunity to squeeze the girl’s breasts between his lips, causing Alesha to feel a tingling sensation throughout her body. That night, while the palace worries about the information sent, they celebrate by surrendering to passion.
