After returning to his room, he was left thinking about what had happened in the dining room, not only because of the fact that she had insinuated that Delia is not what she seems, something he already suspected. After all, although it doesn't seem like it, she has a selfish attitude, in which she only cares about her own happiness, but he was also thinking about the fact that Alesha could be the woman he spent the night with. Ritter shakes his head, it couldn't be her. He's the friend of her rival, but it was a masked ball, even if she discovered his identity, at first she didn't know, maybe she doesn't say anything because she's embarrassed.
Ritter just buried his face in the pillows, sometimes it was better to leave that event alone, he had an amazing night, no matter who she was, it was a one night stand and it wouldn't happen again. Between so much thinking, sleep finally overcame him.
The next morning, Ritter felt the sunlight hitting his face, so he got up and after putting on his glasses, got out of bed, he must get ready to leave, he and his troops have a mission to fulfill.
"How was last night? I hope you didn't fight with Lady Von Hansen," Marius pats him on the shoulder.
"Not at all, although she was somewhat hostile, I suppose for being friends with her rival," Ritter replies.
"I don't think so, you were present, she didn't beg, nor did she swear innocence before the prince," Marius mentions.
Ritter doesn't say anything else, although Marius is right, but from what they talked about, it seems that she is resentful of the prince and Delia. He doesn't blame her, he also feels annoyed, Delia broke a commitment no matter what could happen, both Delia and the prince, only acted selfishly.
They were about to leave, when they see that the knights of the county have prepared to leave, but also Alesha was going with them, they see her get into the carriage and leave.
"Where is the lady going?" Ritter asks the butler.
"It seems that there are problems in the village and she must solve them personally," replies the butler.
"What kind of problems require taking more than twenty knights?"
"A demon causing trouble, it seems that he has been demanding taxes saying that he is the lord of these lands and that if they don't want the other demons to attack, they must pay. Don't worry, Lady Von Hansen, she knows how to deal with that," he replies again.
Ritter thanks him, but asks Marius to return to the marquisate, because he has other business to attend to, Marius says nothing and obeys.
Upon arriving in the village, he observes that some businesses have closed, while people hardly circulate in the streets, while at the end of the main street, there is a huge mansion from which a gold frame stands out in the main entrance and armed guards guarding it, they were a couple of low-class demons. Alesha walks towards the place being followed by the knights, until she stops at the doors of the mansion.
"Stay back, miss, you cannot pass."
The guards interpose themselves, even threatening with their swords, so Alesha's knights prepare to attack.
"Open the doors and tell your lord that Countess Von Hansen has arrived," orders the leader of the knights.
The guards look at each other, so one enters to notify the owner of the mansion, without much delay, he returns giving permission to pass and guides her inside the mansion, but not allowing her knights to pass, Alesha makes a sign to them and follows the guard.
Alesha is guided to a room, where an older, burly man was sitting on a huge sofa, barely wearing a robe and with a glass of wine in his hand. The guard, after seeing that Alesha has passed, closes the door.
"So you are Countess Von Hansen? As far as I know, the counts are the Adilas, but since you are beautiful, I will forgive your lie, of course, if you know how to please me," the man laughs after saying this.
"I would know how to please a man, but I don't think a pig like you can please a woman like me," replies Alesha.
The man gets to his feet and walks towards Alesha.
"I'm going to teach you to show respect, bitch."
The man raises his hand with the intention of hitting Alesha's face, but before slapping her, his body freezes as he sees the girl staring into his eyes, a shiver runs down his spine, it was as if fear was dominating him.
"It seems you weren't paying attention, who I was, I am a Von Hansen, right now you will see."
Alesha takes a step forward and the man walks backwards, it was as if he really wanted to get out of there, Alesha keeps her gaze fixed on the man's eyes and he turns around and runs to the balcony, opens the doors and jumps from that place, hearing the screams of those who saw him fall. Alesha goes out to that balcony and climbs on the railing of it, being observed by the employees of that mansion, even Ritter was present and observes everything with surprise.
Alesha takes a step forward, everyone is scared believing that she will fall, but it was as if she was going down invisible stairs, until she reaches the ground and before that demon can get to his feet, Alesha grabs one of her horses' swords and cuts the demon's throat, leaving everyone stunned.
"In my lands, no demon will get smart, I am Alesha Von Hansen, my father is the great Duke Von Hansen, lord of demons, understood?"
"Yes, my lady, spare our lives, we were only doing what our lord told us to do."
Alesha motions for the guards to take those lackeys away. While Alesha approaches Ritter who was there as a spectator.
"Escalante, I thought you were on your way to the Marquisate." Alesha holds the albino's arm and pulls him slightly to walk.
"What happened? You killed him just like that, something like that, it can cause you problems with the demon nation," warns Ritter.
"He invaded foreign lands, I only defended mine, I don't think the demon king cares about a lackey," replies Alesha.
They both walk, while Alesha's knights are the ones in charge of everything, informing the employees who Alesha is and saying that what happened was just a suicide witnessed by their humble lady.
"Lady Von Hansen, a couple of nights ago, did you go to the Marquis' party?"
"Yes, I had a business deal to make with him, but after we finished talking, I left," replies Alesha.
She surely suspects something and that's why she asked, but Alesha has no intention of saying anything yet, unless Ritter can be useful to her for something more than just sex. Upon reaching the carriage Alesha stops in her tracks.
"Why your question, Escalante?"
"For nothing, it's good to know that you're doing well, don't screw it up like in the capital," he suggests.
"I didn't screw anything up, it was just a phase of what I'm preparing," she replies.
With nothing more to say, Alesha gets into the carriage and her knights are quick to arrive to leave that place. As she looks out the window, while thinking about what she wants to do, at first she had thought of taking the empire, but seeing how difficult it is to manage a county, an empire would be worse and the last thing she wants is to have to dedicate her life to being locked up in an office, so for the moment it is better to do nothing, unless it is the emperors or the pair of lovebirds who come to disturb her peace.
