The Wall That Altered Destiny(the other side)

As it was decided with Pearl, I went to investigate from the trees while she walked. But from the looks of it, it doesn't seem like she was too enthusiastic about this idea. I guess I can't blame her too much since I'm pretty sure this is the most exercise she's gotten the entire month.

I jumped from one piece of elevated land to another and landed on a branch I looked back at Pearl to show her that it was okay and then started climbing. The trees themselves were thick and their branches were strong and sturdy providing me with enough support.

I made my way from one branch to another when I heard something. It was a muffled sound probably Pearl yelling something, but I went deeper into the trees to ignore her nagging.

Seriously she still treats me like a child while she's the one who's getting tired from just some walking.

I jumped from a branch and grabbed a higher one, hoisting my body upwards and finally settling on it.

"This seems to be high enough"

I looked around being sure that this would likely be its end but the wall was even higher.

"Huh, no way,"  I said in disbelief.

How can it be so high!?

Besides I don't like the feeling I'm getting from this wall something tells me that it shouldn't exist. But yet here it is.

I climbed more trees and hopped from one branch to another higher one till I reached the top.

"Phew, there we go and here I was thinking it was gonna take a while."

I smiled and looked at the wall.

"Huh"

But what I saw shook me the wall went even higher than the trees!

 But from the ground, it looked the same height.

"Ugh," I groaned. "Fine then if there is no way then I'll make my own"

I went silent, concentrated, and felt my surroundings and just when I made the connection I opened my eyes and jumped.

I was in midair when I called out to the land and it responded.

The ground stretched upwards, creating a pillar and destroying the trees that were in its way, stopping right below my feet.

I landed on it without a moment's hesitation gathered my weight and leapt forward again.

The ground following my will placing itself beneath my feet was hoisting me upwards till I was finally able to reach the wall.

"Just a little more," I said as I continuously shifted my weight " One more push!"

When I yelled, the ground responded and came to me with force which gave me all that I needed to make the final jump.

"Haaaaah"

I yelled at the top of my lungs as I was sent flying I could see my shadow on the wall moving upwards with speed.

I looked up and the end of the wall was near. Finally, the wall that seemed like never ending had an end.

But there was something wrong.

"Ahh," I was getting slower and gravity was starting to pull me back.

"Dammit"

I exhausted all my strength but there is no way in Scollios(hell) you're beating me. With the last ounce of strength I had left I stretched out my hand and grabbed onto the edge of the wall.

"Haah"

Relieved I opened my eyes and found myself barely hanging on.

"Ah, come one"

I tried to grab the edge with my other hand as well but it slipped.

"Ah... tilp(shit) you can do this, I can almost taste my sweet victory," I said while groaning.

I gathered up the strength and tried to grab the wall again but to no avail my hand slipped.

"Dammit at this rate I'll fall before anything"

I looked down but the trees underneath me were broken and damaged and won't be able to break my fall.

"mm Zemres(****)" I cussed.

My situation was not favorable I had no strength to call another pillar forward and my hand that was gripping the wall started to sweat, which meant I could very well fall and die.

"No no no no, I'm not ready to die yet If I die here Pearl is going to chew me out in Scollios(hell) and I would rather go there than listen to her nagging so please hold on"

My plea to myself also wasn't very effective and I could feel myself losing grip I tried all that I could to hang on but my strength gave out.

 And in that moment everything stopped.

I saw the edge of the wall getting further and further away from me. My body felt light but some force was also pulling me down.

I could feel my hair hitting my face as my body sank deeper. I looked around and saw the top of the trees getting closer. That's when I realized.

"Ah, I'm falling"

The intense wind that wrapped around my hands and the back of my neck felt oddly comforting.

I looked at the sun that was setting behind the trees, It looked beautiful and I thought to myself

Maybe the sun wasn't devoured by the forest, it was still there. We just didn't look high enough.

The land underneath me was fastly approaching.

I looked up to see the damn wall which caused it, thinking I should curse it at least one more time. But the wall that showed no sign of weakness now had cracks and was breaking apart.

"What?"

'Boom'

And just like that It exploded and its bits and pieces started falling with me.

The space in which there was only me had now been filled with debris.

I couldn't help but smile and chuckle a little as the distance between me and the ground shortened making my death almost certain.

"That's what you deserve, go to Scollios(hell)"
