S1 Chapt 4 - Suspicious

Virl continued to look around the facility,avoiding being seen.

The area was well build around the ruins from 10 years ago. Many buildings were fixed though they weren't perfect.

They could be used and she was amazed with her progress.

As she walked down the alleyway she started to hear screaming from below her. "What the.."

A hand grabbed her from behind and she threw her elbow in their ribs to protect herself but got hit and knocked down in the process.

"Where's Tyler-Ray!"

"...uhm. Hello to you too." Walter stood before her helping her up, "Why are you here this is an restricted area."

"And whys that? You hiding something?"

He shook his head hastily, "It's just that Cook don't like people in the Kitchen other than me and Toto, he don't want people stealin' nothin!"

She gave him an unconvinced look before letting out a sigh,"have you seen an annoying 5,4 little girl running around? We lost her in a bull stampede and haven't seen her since." Virl saw Walter tense up as he took a small step back and avoided her gaze. "No ma'am I'm sorry. She ain't here." She sighed again as she started to walk to the dining hall with him, but as the walked Virl had made sure to make note of her surroundings.

'He's bull-shiting for sure' she thought 'I just need to find her..maybe the kitchen may lead me to her.'

<><><><><> With The others<><><><><>

They sat on a huge rectangular table that was decorated beautifully,it was like no years had passed from 2025 and no elves,beasts or other monster had came to ravage it.

Timothy sat next to Raymond holding the crying angel, desperately trying to bounce him to sleep.

"Maybe he misses her?" Said Timothy pointing to him.

"Well he's not the only one...I don't know what to do without her Timbo she was always the one protecting us out there when it was my job to do so-!

I- and I lost my little sister cause I was to lazy to go hunt..."

"Your not the one at fault" Jaxon said playing with his Fork,

"I was supposed to watch out for her. Protect her. And now she is out there missing and all we are doing is sitting on our ***."

All the kids started joining the pity party before Jeremy silenced them all with a loud bang to the table.

"It's none of our faults! Now stop with the damn pity party! It won't help us find her."

"He's right" said Virl walking in to the diner with Walter, "For once."

He scoffed at her remark. "We need to search for her"

She leaned down to the table lowering her voice so Walter could not hear.

"And I think I know where to look"

Toto came in with many different dishes,presenting them to the group as they were caught off guard by their own amazement.

"You should all eat. Especially you kids. Coco. You need all the strength you can get if you are to be on your way."

They served them a huge platter of meats and fish. There were fruit,veg and any type of sweet desserts and savoury meals you could think of.

"Woah..." Said Cora looking at the table and her mother,unable to create words.

"Thank you. This means alot" she said already digging in with everyone not long doing the same.

"What's this meat?" As Virl continuously chewing as if it was a block of peanut butter.

Toto gave her a smile, "Well we have alot of people so we go around our area to find people and...trade with them"

She raised an eyebrow and went to ask another question but Jeremy cut her off, thanking the people for their hospitality again.

"Now let's talk about your situation. I am aware that you have lost a member of sorts?"

"Yes Tyler-Ray,a little girl with velvet braids."

"Dreadlocks." Jaxon and Raymond corrected.

"Dreadlocks..and blue/brown eyes" Jeremy said looking down at his plate.

Toto gave a sigh before looking towards Raymond and Naru. "She was your sister?"

"She is My sister."

"Right well with the information we know now it is unlikely that she's alive but we will send a search party tomorrow to find her. And we will update you on information if we do"

"Thank you"

Toto stood up with Walter and exited the room while the group were left in the dining room..

"So Virl you said you knew where-" Virl shut Rivers mouth with her hand. "Not here. We are not alone" she said pointing her gaze to the entrance. "We will talk when it's safe. But just keep you guard up for now okay?"

"Okay." They said in unison, continuing to eat the meal they were giving except Virl who just sat and watched the entrance.

<><><><><> With Tyler-Ray <><><><><>

I sit waiting for a chance to escape knowing that it's probably not going to happen. I don't know the time,my arm is still in enormous pain and I am incredibly hungry..

"Hey." I look to see Walter and Toto on the other side of the cell. "Get up we are going out."

"What..?"

"I said we are going out." Before I could react Toto pulled me but my Right arm and dragged me out the cell. I had no clue where he was taking me but I knew it would end in something that will probably get me hurt.

<><><><><> In the middle of <><><><><>

The woods.

"Take em off."

I raise my eyebrow at his request, "Perv."

"Don't test me. Or that broken arm will be the least of your worries" I hesitate before follow his orders taking off my clothes and covering my red zones from infront of them.

He walked towards me, grabbing my uninjured arm and pulling out an knife. "Move and I'll slit your throat" He said before cutting my arm numerous of time letting me bleed ontop of the fabric. "There. Its done" He gave me a quick look before smiling and turning to Walter. "Give the cutie a bath and some clothes. We have some news go share."

"News...?" I turned to Walter who was already trying to cover me with his own top. "What news?" He gave no answer as he just lead me back to the cell and finally gave me something to eat.

"News...to who?.." who would want to know my clothes were soiled in blood.
