Back To Vintage

There in the window stands my only remaining dream, a 1980 aviator jacket, light brown, and her perfect size.

The shop kept. Susan promised to keep it to the side for her,, but her time limit had gone, so now if she wanted it, it was now or never.

Heading in to 'Back to vintage', hoping that her months of saving will be each to finally get the jacket.

"Hey Susan"

"look I can't hold the jacket any long for you okay I have to sell it, I'm really sorry"

"I know I'm finally here to buy it"

"what really your actually going to get"

"Yep, so if you would be so kind and go get it for me"

"Yeah one second"

Bring the jacket round to the counter laying it gently on top of the counter, I run my hand over the fur soon it would hopefully be round me keeping me warm in this city of broken dreams.

"Right that's 120, cash or card"

opening her banking app and going on the saving account where 163 pounds lies, she had enough not even that but more.

"Card please"

with that the jacket was hers once the card was accepted she picked up the jacket and wrapped her body in it, even though she would not need it as much in Texas it would come in handy for the winter months.

"Thank you, and goodbye Susan"

with that she waved good by to her and head out the shop, she manage to complete one of her dreams, she managed to have something for her self that no one could take way.

Still having money in the saving pot, I head to a small in the wall café that is stacked in between the run down builds and apartment builds, Lord know how they were able to stay aflot, Main gusse is the local gangs. But they had good food and kinda cheap food.

Big Mamas, quite literally the owner Jess only replied to Mama, she calls her self the mom of the block and her customer are her children. She is a sweet woman but a force to be rreconnedwith.

"Hey mama"

"Hey sweetheart, How are you, have you been eating okay"

"Yeah Mama I'm good, and you know I'm going to eat well because I'm here"

"Okay now, go take a seat and tell me what you have been up to"

Taking my favorite seat at the counter, I told Mama everything that had happened since I last saw her.

"... and now I'm moving to Texas for a job"

"Sweetheart that brilliant, sad that your leaving me all alone but brilliant I'm really happy for you, know let's get some food down you."

"Thank you, and you won't be alone you got Your sons here Mama."

"Yes but I won't have my daughter"

with that she disappeared in to kitchen. leaving me to be alone in the cafe with the sound of clashing pots and pans to keep her company
