Episode 20

Hello, I am Zaki. I belong to the African mafia. Many people think that here in Africa, there is no organization like ours, and that brings us some benefits. We don't have enemies from large countries. I am currently 32 years old, and I should have taken over the mafia already, but I haven't found a wife yet, and one of the requirements to assume the position of capo is to be married.

After searching for women in my country and not finding anyone who pleased me, I decided to search in other countries. I saw some Brazilians, Mexicans, but none of them pleased me, so I decided to have a marriage of convenience. I decided to marry our best client's daughter. She was a 24-year-old woman. I had seen her a few times when she came with her father. She wasn't my type, but as I was more focused on what this union could bring us, I didn't think much about whether I liked her or not. She was a beautiful woman, but seemingly frivolous.

I am the kind of man who doesn't care much about beauty. What attracts me to a woman is intelligence, something that our client's daughter apparently did not have.

Zaki: "I'm going to Italy to meet her. I'll see if I can at least have a half-hour conversation with her."

Father: "You need a strong woman by your side."

Zaki: "I don't have much time to find a woman."

Father: "You could check with the Italian mafia. Heitor is an old acquaintance of mine. I heard his son got married."

Zaki: "The Italian mafia has great power in weapons. An alliance with them would be good, but Italian women have a strong spirit. Our client's daughter is Indian. Women there are submissive."

Father: "Believe your father. The best thing in life is to marry a brave woman. My life without your mother would have no grace."

Zaki: "I don't have the time or patience to deal with stubborn women. I will contact the leader of the Italian mafia and schedule a visit. I'm going to use my time there to close a deal with them."

Father: "Good idea. It's always good to have someone like them on our side. You never know when it might be necessary."

Zaki: "I'm going to Italy in two months. I don't know how long I'm going to stay there, so I want to leave everything organized before I go. If everything goes as planned, I'll be back married."

Father: "I hope you don't regret your decision. Marriage among our people is for life."

Zaki: "Yes, I know, Father."

I leave my father's office and go to the training center. I liked to train every day to try to maintain my physical fitness. Soon, I would have to be a strong leader to command all of Africa.
