Scent of love

" Pardon?, I don't think I heard you right. But if it is what I have heard, i may have to disappoint you because I am not planning on settling anytime soon and definitely you are not getting a chance to beat me. I am sure I will gain control over my powers much earlier than you anyway." Blaze commented.

" You wished. I don't think so.. " Aura strikes back.

" Come on, that was a joke Blaze, she didn't mean it that way. She may have meant to say that you are pretty popular". Avani tried justifying.

" I am sure I didn't mean that".

" Then let's get back to practice.Break time will be over soon." With that Avani ended the twisted conversation.

The class continued without any more provoking.

At night she sat by the window. The big image of the moon was shining before her. She sat there lost in thoughts. Moonlight made her face shine.

Avani entered the room and saw her lost in thoughts.

"Aura, what are you dreaming about? " Avani asked playfully.

"Nothing"

" Seriously I am starting to see some changes in your attitude. Don't you think you are being too prejudiced towards Blaze. Before I used to think it may be because everyone considered you two as rivals, so that may have been the reason. But today, your expression when you talked to him was kind of weird"

" Weird? More like hate."

" Why are you hating him? He hadn't done anything to hurt you or others. He is a really good person you have to understand him a bit more. At least don't irritate him."

" Avani I was not trying to irritate him. I know I went a little overboard today. I don't know, maybe I was just a little angry about my lessons not working out"

" Maybe. But when I looked at you today, I thought you were jealous."

" Are you saying I like him or something, No I am pretty sure about that."

" If you say so" Saying that she fell on Aura's bed and Aura came to sit beside her. They talked for some time and then Avani left.

Deep down Aura knew she really felt something towards Blaze, maybe because he liked his look. Yeah that may be the reason. He is known to be really handsome even at such a young age. She wanted her feelings to be a mere attraction rather than a deeper emotion.

Years went by. She spends each day trying to master her power ,the air. She would ignore Blaze and so does he. She started realising that the feeling she felt towards him was actually something deep.

Even if he stood before her looking all dishevelled, she still had an urge to hug him and to hold him close. She wanted to talk to him but her pride and lack of courage made her unable to do so. She wanted him to look at her even though it didn't mean much. She would like to listen to him talking. Is that what they call love? ...
