As the summer days passed into autumn, Bakugou and Deku's unspoken desires hung between them like an invisible thread. They continued their daily routines, attending school, going on adventures, and confiding in each other as they always had, but the unaddressed tension remained.

High school arrived, bringing with it new experiences and challenges. Bakugou and Deku entered the same prestigious school, where they hoped to pursue their individual dreams. Despite the added workload and extracurricular activities, they remained nearly inseparable.

"Deku," Bakugou began, his voice filled with both fear and hope, "we've known each other forever, and I... I think I've known you for even longer than that."

Deku turned to him, his eyes filled with curiosity. "What do you mean, Bakugou?"

Taking a deep breath, Bakugou confessed, "I've known you, Deku, for as long as I've known myself. And... I've been feeling things I can't explain. Every time I see you, my heart races, and I can't stop thinking about you."

Deku's heart pounded in his chest as he listened to Bakugou's heartfelt words. His feelings mirrored those of his best friend, but he had always been afraid to admit it. "Bakugou, I've felt the same way. But I was scared that if I said anything, it might change everything between us."

The two friends looked deep into each other's eyes, finally acknowledging the unspoken truth they had been carrying for so long. The weight of their secrets was lifted, replaced by a sense of relief, yet uncertainty still loomed.

Bakugou reached for Deku's hand, their fingers intertwining. "Deku, I don't want to lose what we have. But I also don't want to keep hiding our feelings."

Deku squeezed Bakugou's hand, offering a small smile. "We'll figure it out together, Bakugou. Whatever happens, we'll face it as a team."

Their bond grew stronger that day, as they embraced the uncharted territory of their romantic feelings. The chapter had begun, and together, they would navigate the complexities of their newfound love.
