After a while, she was dropped to somewhere she’d never been before. She slowly opened her eyes, seeing an identical city as the one she lived in but covered with vines. The sky was bright, probably because the time wasn’t different. It was quiet with no one around, only her in this big city.
She stood up and started walking around, observing this city covered in vines and plants. It gives a sense of doom. The whole city simply seems weird with a feeling hard to express through words. It was quiet without anyone else. You should be afraid, right? But it felt oddly at peace.
Yes, it was quiet, it was lonely, it was unfamiliar. But it gives a weird sense of peace and calmness inside Yuuna’s heart. She started looking around this familiar yet unfamiliar city. She steps into the library, covered in vines, and looks around. The shelves are dusty with spiderwebs on them.
She was wandering around just like that inside the library, looking at one shelf after another. She used to visit this library very often when she was around 10. It was like her little safe place. No one will bother her there, nor will any noise do. She pulls out a chair, dusting off the dust on the chair before she sits down. She looks out the window, admiring this beautiful yet weird city. Yes, it has a sense of doom with all those plants covering the city. But this is simply what Yuuna is searching for in her mind.
She lays her head down on the table, feeling the peace in her mind until… someone patted her shoulder.
When she raises her head, she sees a… girl? Boy? You can’t really tell.
“Hello!” Says the boy. His voice was high pitched, but you can tell his gender by that already.
Yuuna didn’t seem too happy to be disturbed, more so because she didn’t like talking.
“Hello.” She replies flatly. She has a voice people would sell their soul for, but she has a mouth tighter than a lock. She hates communicating, she hates socializing.
“Why are you here?” The boy asks while tilting his head in confusion. “You’re too good to be in this place.”
“I don’t know, but I guess I liked it here better.”
“Do you really?”
“…I guess so.”
The boy smiles softly at her, reaching out a hand for her to take.
“Well, if you want to stay here, why don’t we make this place better?”
“What does that mean?” Yuuna asks, looking confused. She noticed how this boy had yellow eyes with his brown hair. His hair is short, slightly messy. Yes, he wasn’t the best looking, but he gives a sense of warmth not only by his looks but also his voice.
“We will go around this city and clean up all the vines!” Says the boy with a warm smile. His tone was childlike, it was as if he’s a 5 talking about his dream of being a hero.
“…that’s ridiculous.” Yuuna says with a sigh. She looks out the window again, looking at the city covered with vines.
“You don’t have to do it if you don’t want to, but I want to take you with me!” The boy says, still having his hand extended out to her. “Maybe you’ll change your mind midway, who knows?”
“…fine.” Yuuna says with another sigh, taking his hand. The boy’s hand was warm, different from how Yuuna’s was cold. “…what’s your name?”
“Call me Cielo.” He says, helding Yuuna’s hand in his tightly.
