Long chapter.
J I M I N
I had gone three days talking as little as possible to Jungkook . Ever since I found out about this arranged marriage from someone I didn't know existed.
Jhyoun left soon after I disappeared into my room and Jungkook and I only exchanged few words when we ate dinner together like we did every night.
I was eating breakfast, trying to finish it before Jungkook came out of his office to join me, but I was too late.
He walked out and took his seat across from me and started eating his specially prepared Korean breakfast, "You need to change after breakfast."
"Why?" I asked, taking a bite of my toast.
"We are going to town." He said simply.
My eyes widened as I gently set my fork to the side, "Are you serious? I haven't even gone out side since I got here."
"I am aware of this, we are going out to get suits for the wedding and also some more clothes for you. I figure it's about time you get some clothes you like as we prepare for our wedding."
Even at the mention of the dreaded wedding, the idea of getting out of the house made me so happy.
I finished my food and rushed up stairs to change into a pair of jeans and a shirt, one of the few articles of clothing that had been provided for me when I got here.
I rushed down stairs and instantly groaned when I saw he had half of his Korean breakfast scrambled eggs left, "Hurry up."
I saw him look at me and for a second I thought I was in trouble but then I saw a shadow of a smile on his face as he stood up after wiping his face and setting his fork down.
He walked past me into the living room and opened the closest to pull out a coat, "Wear this, it is cold out." He said holding it open so I could slide into it. I was about to protest and tell him I could do it my self but that would just be a waste of time.
I slid into it and waited to follow Jungkook. He walked to the entrance hall and nodded to the two guards that stood there, they opened the huge french doors and Jungkook and I walked out into the cold winter air.
As we walked out I saw that there were two guards on the other side of the doors, standing at attention as we walked by. Jungkook placed his hand at my small waist as we walked across the porch and down the stairs to the black sports car that sat running, waiting for the two of us.
A man stepped out from the drivers seat and spoke, "Good morning, Mr. Jeon, Jimin." I could see he breaths in the cold air as he spoke and held open the door for us.
Jungkook nodded as he let me slide in first and then him. I didn't realize how cold my face had gotten until the warm air from the a/c thawed it.
The driver got in and started driving, already knowing where to go.
I was looking out the window, there was nothing to really look at though, just trees, lots and lots of trees.
"Where would you like to get married?" He asked suddenly.
I looked at him and thought about not answering but then I decided I might as well tell him, "I've always wanted to get married in the forest, as cliche as that sounds."
He nodded, "Then that is were we will marry."
My eyes widened, "I was a little vague, don't you think? There are a lot of forests."
"Then we will look for the one you want."
I looked at him, surprised I had so much say in this.
"We will talk more about the arrangements when we get a chance to talk to the wedding planner tomorrow."
I nodded and looked back out the window.
About thirty minutes later we were in a small, busan town. Just large enough for a few rows of locally owned shops and a few big name stores.
The first place we stopped was a small tailors shop. Jungkook offered me his hand as he stepped out but I didn't take it. His hand instantly grabbed my hand anyway when I got out of the car.
There were people walking the sidewalks, bags in their hands or their partners hand in their hand.
It made me very happy to see those people, mainly because it was someone besides Jungkook and his workers, though Nina was sweet, I couldn't talk to her much when Jungkook was home.
I thought about taking my hand away, but they were freezing anyway and his hand was warm, except for the one ring he wore on his right pinky.
We walked into the almost empty tailors shop and Jungkook was instantly greeted, "If it isn't Jeon Jungkook . I haven't seen you in a few months." An old man with a deep voice spoke from behind the counter.
Jungkook smiled and I widened my eyes slightly, he rarely smiled like that. I got him to smile like that sometimes, but it was rare.
"Good morning, Mr. Yan." Jungkook replied.
"And who is this you have with you today?" Mr. yan asked.
It was then that I pulled my hand away, thankfully Jungkook didn't protest.
"This is Park Jimin , soon to be my husband in a month."
The man nodded, "I assume you are here suits for the occasion."
"Yes, sir." Jungkook said and the man stepped out from behind the counter.
"Do you have any idea of what you want?" He asked both of us.
Jungkook nodded, "I want it made like my other suits, just the groom style and black."
"And you, Jimin?" He asked.
"Um..." I paused, not knowing anything about suits and not really wanting to be doing it in the first place.
Jungkook spoke for me, "Can you bring out a few sample fabrics in gray, black and white?"
He nodded and disappeared into a back room.
Jungkook looked at me and said, "I know you don't want this, but it is happening. You will only get married this once, so you might as well make it as perfect as possible."
I took a minute to let that sink in. He was kind of right, there was no way I could get out of this, alive anyway. I had thought up ideas since I found out about it.
I would only get married once, I'd want to look good. I just wish it was with someone who didn't kidnap me and arrange this marriage
The man came back with a wooden box with a variety of fabrics organized on it, "I will let the two of you look through these and pick the ones you like best and then we will get you measured and make the suit." He smiled as Jungkook took the box.
Jungkook led me to a sitting area and we sat down as he flipped through the patches of fabric.
"What color would you like to wear?" He asked.
I looked up from the patches and over to him, "Um... Well your wearing black, right?" I asked and he nodded and held up a square of plain black fabric, the darkest they had, showing me that that was what the suit's color would be.
I nodded, "Could I wear white?" I asked.
"Of course, there is a lot to choose from, go ahead and look." He said, handing me the box of fabric.
As I looked through the white fabric, some of them having designs in the white, others lighter shades or darker, almost cream, I couldn't help but wonder who would be at my wedding, surly no one I knew.
All my friends from school probably worried about me for the first few weeks and then stopped after my parents told them a lie, letting them think I was fine. Which, physically, I was.
"Who will be there?" I asked.
"At the wedding?" He asked.
I nodded, not looking away from the fabrics, "I'm going to assume you won't allow my parents to be there." I said. Even though the thought that my parents gave me up still hurt, but I still want to see them again, and this wedding seems like the only time that would be possible.
"Jimin, it's your wedding, of course your parents will come, that will be the last time you see them for a while."
I looked up at him, "Really?"
He nodded, "Who else will be there?" I asked.
"Business partners and my family." He said and I knew that by 'business partners', he meant other mafia bosses, ones he worked with.
I spent a few more minutes looking through the fabric before I finally decided on the purest white they had.
Mr. Yan came by and saw my choice, "Great choice, we could add a cream vest under the jacket to add a different color."
I nodded, trusting his opinion more than my own, "I'll get these orders in, I'm going to have my assistant measure you, Jimin."
I nodded, assuming Jungkook didn't need to be measured because this was where he got his suits.
"Justin, come measure Jimin for me." Mr. Yan said.
A man, probably closer to Jungkook's age stepped out of a room and walked up to me with a measuring tape draped across his shoulder, a pen behind his ear and a piece of paper in his hand, "Follow me." He smiled kindly.
I followed him to a room with a raised circle in the middle of the room and three mirrors, all at different angles, in front of it. Most likely where they measured and tried on suits.
"I'm going to have you stand on that circle as I get the measurements."
I did as he said and stood still as he measured me.
I saw Jungkook glare from where he sat as he touched me. I rolled my eyes at his childish behavior.
Once we were done Justin smiled and led me out of the room, "When do you need your suits done by?"
"A week at the most." Jungkook answered.
"Alright, Mr. Yan has priced them, would you like to pay now or when you get them?"
"Now." Jungkook answered, trusting Mr. Yan enough to pay in full first.
"Alright." Justin said and got behind the counter, ringing the suits up. When I saw the price I nearly fainted.
"Holy shit, why is it so expensive?" I asked.
Justin laughed and Jungkook just glared at me. I mumbled a 'sorry' before he answered, "Their suits are high quality and made from the best material, you will have the best for this wedding."
I nodded slowly, still not okay with the high price, at least I wasn't buying and I didn't doubt that Jungkook had enough money to spare.
Once we walked out of the shop I noticed that it had warmed up a bit, it wasn't as cold, yet you could still see your breath if you breathed hard enough.
"Where are we going now?" I asked.
"A few shops to get you more clothes." He said, taking my hand in his. I tried to pull it away but it was no use.
We walked into a small shop just a few down from the tailors shop. It seemed like a family owned clothing store and it wasn't too big or too small.
There were already customers roaming around trying to pick out their favorite clothing.
Jungkook led me to the men section and began searching the racks for clothing that was about my size.
"Grab whatever you like." He said, looking through the clothes.
I started looking and found a few shirts and a couple pairs of pants that were my size.
"You can get more, Jimin. I know you need more than what I have for you." He said once he saw the items I had picked out.
"This is fine." I said.
He shook his head, "Fine, I will pick stuff for you."
"Jungkook," I grabbed his arm, stopping him, "It's fine, you shouldn't spend that much money on me."
He smiled at that, "Surely you know that money is no problem for me and never will be."
"That doesn't mean I want you spending thousands of dolloars on me."
"Get used to it." He said pulling out a pair of jeans, checking the size and folding them across his arm.
I sighed and grabbed a few more pieces of clothing before we walked to the check out counter.
"Good morning, did you find everything okay?" The lady at the counter asked.
Jungkook nodded and I responded, "Yes, thank you."
She rang everything up and I looked away from the price as he paid. She handed me the bag and smiled, "Have a good day."
"You too." I managed a smile, which felt strange since I hadn't smiled in a while.
We walked out of the store and Jungkook started to walk back to the car but I took his hand, stopping him, "Um, could we maybe... walk around? I'm not ready to go nack just yet."
He smiled lightly, "Of course."
I made a move to pull my hand back, no longer needing it's warmth, but he held on.
"Where would you like to go?" He asked.
"Anywhere."
With that we walked around, we passed a lot of people, some giving us weird stares and whisperd and others smiling at our intertwined hands.
We didn't really have a destination, but we stopped at a cafe a couple blocks away from the car and got hot chocolate.
We talked a little before walking back to the car.
As we headed home I couldn't help but think how bearable the day had been. Even though I was getting married to Jungkook in a month, the day had been enjoyable.
Even with Jungkook.
