Episode 4

Upon arriving at the hospital, Nicholas's smile persisted. A smile he had never shown to anyone before, and now it suddenly set the hospital abuzz.

"Am I seeing things? Is that Dr. Nicholas smiling?" a nurse questioned, rubbing her own eyes repeatedly, fearing a mistake. A gaggle of nurses gathered in front of the emergency department, observing Dr. Nicholas as he entered.

"No way! Oh my, Dr. Nicholas is really smiling!!" another exclaimed in a hushed shout to avoid creating a commotion.

"It looks like it's a good day for him," another replied, feeling a pang of adoration at the sight of Dr. Nicholas smiling, as if being transported to the clouds by that alluring smile.

"Didn't he come to the hospital this morning? Then left and now he's back again? Who did he meet?" someone else wondered.

There were endless speculations, yet amidst it all, Dr. Nicholas's smile became the talk of everyone. A few mischievous nurses even snapped photos of the handsome doctor.

And set them as their secret wallpapers.

"What are you doing?" Dr. Gracia asked with her cool voice, startling the nurses, who immediately snapped to attention.

"Back to your respective duties."

"Yes, Doctor," they replied in unison, bowed their heads, and departed. Meanwhile, Gracia caught a glimpse of Nicholas at the far end before deciding to approach him, quickening her pace in the hopes of closing the distance.

"Dr. Nick," Gracia called out, coinciding with her stride alongside the handsome doctor.

"You seem very happy today," Gracia remarked, offering a smile while gazing at Nicholas as they walked without pausing.

"Um, today is quite bright," Nicholas responded, but suddenly he resumed his usual impassive expression. Gracia's words reminded him that he had lost control of his demeanor.

Kept amusing himself with thoughts of Naina's antics and forgot that he was in the hospital, at his place of work which required professional conduct.

Gracia had been Nicholas's junior in medical school, and after graduation, she took the entrance exam for this hospital and was accepted, becoming a surgeon just like Nicholas.

No further conversation took place between them afterward, as Nicholas reverted to his stoic face. Even when they parted at the corridor's end, they exchanged no words, only a small nod of mutual respect.

Gracia stood there, watching the broad back of her superior. It felt hypocritical not to harbor feelings for him. Every woman certainly longed to be his partner.

"How foolish that woman was to let Dr. Nicholas go," Gracia muttered under her breath, referring to Zendaya, Nicholas's former fiancee and one of the city's renowned designers.

"But it's for the best that their wedding was called off, now I have more opportunities to get closer," she mused with a small smile, imagining herself as the life partner of the most perfect man.

After Nicholas vanished from sight, Gracia finally left, smiling, savoring this beautiful day.

Elsewhere, Naina managed to calm herself after having recently run around screaming, still astonished by her accidental touch with Dr. Nicholas.

Now with a tranquil mind, she started researching impotence on her phone. The treatment required a gentle approach with small stimulations, appealing to sight and hearing.

Naina nodded repeatedly as she understood. Impotence was not a laughing matter, so she was determined to help Dr. Nicholas recover.

"I thought his life was perfect, but there's always something," Naina thought to herself. Before shopping for lingerie, she decided to first settle her outstanding hospital bills.
