My Past

In my room all alone in the dark, I have to admit its kind of nice being alone, but it's too lonely.

*Flashback*

"Brianna! , Bridgette! .... We need to go"

" Ok mom" we said in sync

We were on our way to the amusement Park. I really loved the amusement Park especially the water slide. Me and my twin sister. Where going to the amusement park with our parents.

Once we arrived, there was a big Ferris wheel that caught my interest

"Mom, Dad I want to go on the Ferris wheel"

"Ok sweetheart but be careful" my dad said with a warm smile.

I grabbed my sisters hand, and we ran towards the Ferris wheel. We had so much fun that we lost track of time.

After playing on the Ferris wheel for about an hour, We saw our parents arguing in the distance.

" Why can't you be a responsible woman, instead you are cheating on me with another man" my dad said in rage

" So what now, you never gave me attention and now this. I can't take it anymore, I want a divorce. And we will take one child each to be fair." my mother said as her eyes were filled with tears.

When I heard this I was shocked, before I realized it my mother dragged me.

"Mom, don't do this " I said looking back at my father and my twin sister.

My dad also took Bridgette and walked away. From that day we were separated, and I never got to see my sister again.

*end of flashback *

*I need to rest for tomorrow, thinking about it won't solve anything * I said to myself as I began to cry in pain. I then forced myself to sleep for the next day.

The next day,

Going to school, as a 10th grader wasn't a joke. I really hate school as usual.

I took a shower, dressed up in a short pink dress and rushed downstairs for some food.

"Good morning mom", said as I sat down to eat my breakfast.

" I hope u slept well Brianna, now hurry up... You're already running late for school"

My mom said as she packed my lunch box. After I was done with my delicious meal, I decided to walk to school because I really needed some exercise.

30 minutes later

As I approached the school building, I could sense someone staring at me, but I didn't know who. I turned around to find no one looking at me. I continued walking until I reached my class. Upon entering my class, I bumped into something—or rather, someone. Furthermore, I fell down on the floor, and just before I could stand up, someone stretched out his hand to help me up. It was a guy; he was tall and had a good physique. I took his hand, and he lifted me up.

"You should be careful, you might bruise your beautiful face.. I am Lucas by the way. And I guess you are Brianna" he said with a warm smile

"Yes, it's nice to meet you Lucas and thank you"

"Anytime, beautiful"

He was nice, but I think he is a flirt.

After the whole drama, I went back to my seat and saw Walter staring at me.

He came closer to me and just kept staring.

"Why are you staring at me? " I asked in confusion

" Aren't I allowed to stare at a pretty girl like you" he said with a smirk.

I blushed so hard my face was as red as a tomato.

" So Brianna, don't you have any siblings? "

" Well I did, until my parents got a divorce. I had a twin sister, but my father took her with him" I said with my face down.

"I am so sorry to hear that" he said as he held my hand. I felt goosebumps all over my body, I couldn't even breathe properly.

Before I could say a word, someone came from behind and moved his hand away from mine. It was the same girl who pushed me yesterday.

"And what you think your doing Alexis? " Walter said with a glare

" Oh baby. You're my boyfriend you know that, besides how could u do that with a low life like her" Alexis said with a scuff

"I am not your boyfriend, I never asked you to be my girlfriend, so I have nothing to do with u Alexis and Brianna is not a low life".

The class was silent as they watched the drama that was happening, they were definitely going to be some gossips about this.

Before anything else could happen, another teacher walked in

"That's enough, please everyone should be seated" the teacher said in a calm tone.

He looked like a biology teacher, I think my guess is right because of his round glasses.

I unintentionally dropped my pen on the floor as he was lecturing. I extended my hand to grab my pen, but Walter had already carried it for me before I could. He handed me my pen after our eyes briefly connected and we both continued to stare at each other.

I felt butterflies in my stomach after what happened, I couldn't concentrate in class anymore because Walter was sitting next to me and staring at me throughout.

After the class, I didn't have any other class today so I wanted to go to library. All of a sudden Walter took my hand and he walked me out of the class.

" Walter, where are we going to? " I said curiously

" You will see " his tone was soft and warm.

After a few minutes we were near a fountain, the fountain was large and beautiful in its own way.

" This is beautiful" I said with glitter in my eyes

" This is were I come to think and have some quiet time. But this time, I want you here with me".

I looked at him with a smile and he smiled back. We spent the rest of the day talking and talking . We had a lot in common and I started to like him. He was a great guy and he was so handsome, I could admire him all day.

It was time to go home.. And as usual, I am going home alone. I was about to leave when suddenly someone called me from behind.

"Brianna! "

It was Walter, he ran towards me and gave me a hug. I was surprised why he would hit me but I hugged him back anyway.

"Are you going to be free on Saturday? " he asked with a warm smile.

" Yes of course "

" Well, can we hang out a little bit on Saturday? "

" Is that a date? "

" Yes it is my lady "

"Ok then, let's meet at the cafe by 10am" I said as I walked away.
