Origin of the Guide - 1

Hnaw Seled, a 15-year-old boy, wearing turned clothes, shabby hair not washed from days, an old bag leaning on his shoulders. He was wandering in the mountainous forest, searching for the food for his family, as it was a wartime all of their village's stored food was taken away by the military soldiers for themselves and drought made it difficult to even to obtain water to drink lest alone to grow crops for food. Many villagers go to search for food in mountainous forest, risking their lives from the mountain's animal, for the survival of their beloved ones. A small village with honest and timid villagers was satisfied as the soldiers didn't kill anyone in their village or took their children to become their slaves.

Hnaw was only boy in his family of eight; him, his mother, his father, his two younger sisters, his grandmother and two old father's aunts. His father was suffering from an unknown disease which make unable to move in dark and as he was malnutritioned it was impossible for him to climb the mountain. None of the family members were able to wander in dangerous forest except for his mother. They would likely take turns in days to collect fruits, medicinal grass, hunt small animals or other useful things. Days went by and as the mountain was the only source of food for Hnaw's village and other villages the foot of the mountain nearly dried out not leaving a single leave on the trees. The villagers, now had to go in the further deep forest which was more dangerous than the foot of the mountain. The journey from the village to the forest took a quarter of daytime, so to go further deep they would require more time. In general one would require at least thirty hours to go from village to deep within the mountain forest, search for food while keeping distance from wild animals and return. So Hnaw and his mom decided to for a three-day turns. For two nights they will reside in a cave little deep in the forest which Hnaw discount by chance. They never joined the groups of villagers as they knew even if it would increase the chance of their survival it will the decrease the shares of their food which could sometimes be negligible to their family of eight.

It was Hnaw's turn, he was wandering here and there, while all the villagers were anxious about how to find food he was carefree. While wandering he saw a man sitting on a tree. He was aiming to shoot his arrow on a wild rabbit who was w walking outside its burrow perhaps to find food for itself. Hnaw, when saw that the man was going to shoot down the arrow he hid himself in bush and threw a stone at his flying arrow changing its projection. The arrow missed the target and the rabbit got startled and hid itself in the burrow. The man knew that someone deliberately hindered his hunt, he jumped down from the tree in furious manner and start searching for the man who took his meal away. Hnaw was still hiding in the bush. He never liked hunting. In his thoughts it was wrong of someone to destroy others life for his own good, be it rather humans or animals. He was by nature very kind. Many times he was caught by the villagers and for this very reason the hated him. But Hnaw, even if was drove at the edge would always think of others prosperity without hurting anyone. While hiding, he heard a bell. When he heard it he frightened because he also did heard the rumors about the bell man. People said that in the nearby village there lived a man with the bells, a gift from his late father who was a butcher. That man was cruel as whenever someone angered him he would chop the other party into pieces. As there was no order and law in the villages, one day villagers formed a group and tried to kill him, but they failed. He was so strong that he killed all the 47 villagers who tried to kill. He was so furious that he didn't even leave their family alone. Furthermore, he killed all 47 villager's family not even leaving the women and the children who were completely innocent. Hnaw despised him, but he knew that he was no match for him, he covered his mouth and sat there as knew given that man's sharp senses and strength neither he could outrun him nor he could sneak away. He began thinking that he was going to become one the villagers who died while searching for food, still he was not regretting saving the rabbit. He was happy that he had a good family, although it was going to be hard for them to survive. He was happy that he did save as many as lives he could. He just wanted to say goodbye to his mother to take care of her and to not push herself too much. That man's footstep were now approaching Hnaw. Hnaw thought that these were his last moments. He had a wish that he couldn't fulfill, to have a full meal in the night with his family where hi two sisters were laughing, his mom wasn't stressed, his father was moving freely, his grandmothers were chatting about their own times and nagging at him to go to village school, where they were going to bed with their stomach full. He was seeing this vision with his eyes closed. Furthermore, he found himself getting farther and farther away from them. He was trying to say something to them, but his voice wasn't reaching them as if he was there but not there at same time. Suddenly he found a hand on his head.
