The Greeks and Romans
Esther
There are many mythologies but believe I should start with the ones which have shorter or no end of the world
Esther
Let's start with the Greek mythology
Esther
According to it, there are four or five ages of men
Esther
The most noble humans lived during this era
Esther
I would say innocent
Esther
It was ruled by Cronos (not Chronos = god of time) who was a Titan and patron of harvest, after getting killed by Zeus he reappear as a good roman titan Saturn
Esther
Zeus ruled all ages since this one
Esther
There were also noble humans but due to some reasons Zeus burned them to ash
Esther
They were the ones created by Prometheus
Esther
Zeus sent a big flood on them
Esther
Like in most mythologies
Esther
Only two people survived
Esther
One human man and a human daughter of Prometheus's brother's - Epimetheus's daughter he had with Pandora
Esther
Yes the Pandora with that box
Esther
Well those two humans survived
Esther
When the man threw a stone behind himself a new man was born from it
Esther
When the woman threw it a woman was born
Esther
That's how this age's humans came to be
Esther
Mentioned only sometimes
Esther
It is the age of heroes like Hercules, Iason, Theseus,...
Esther
It is only until the end of the Troyan War though
Esther
The rest is the Iron Age
Esther
The humans stopped slowly believing in gods
Esther
And so the gods abandoned them
Esther
Gods will not help humans
Esther
And humans will die
Esther
The Ancient Greeks never had a proper end of the world so...
Esther
The Romans had it mixed up a bit but similar
Esther
They had many mythologies in their nation as they occupied more and more land, everyone believed in something different
Esther
Though the Roman mythology itself comes mostly from the Greek mythology
Esther
Well the conclusion is that they won't do anything to us
Esther
But also won't help us
