Episode 11

After they had breakfast, the pair left the place. Claramond took Rose to another location, leaving the city towards some private estates, and they arrived at a house; the same one that Rose had chosen from the photos.

Upon seeing the house, Rose was surprised and delighted, so they both entered and explored the interior.

"This is our new home. Do you like it?" he asked. She nodded and happily strolled around the house. Claramond followed her, and when they reached the master bedroom, Rose joyfully threw herself onto the bed. "Do you like the decor? I wasn't quite sure about your tastes, so feel free to change anything whenever and however you wish," he said, watching her from the doorway.

"I-I like it..." Rose managed to say, indicating her approval of the place.

"I'm glad to hear that. We should start living together starting tomorrow, so we can move your things from the apartment," Claramond told her.

Lying on the bed, Rose looked out of the window to see the rain beginning to fall. She didn't respond to Claramond, instead rising to sit on the window frame and admire the rain.

Claramond walked over to sit beside her, watching the rain together. As they did, Rose stood up, approached Claramond, and hugged him, resting her head on his chest. He happily embraced her back, stroking her red hair and her back...

...

Some hours later, Rose was in her apartment packing her clothes and some valuables.

While packing, she found a photo among her clothes. Seeing this photo brought memories flooding back.

It was a picture of her and Jaume, both under a Christmas tree in the city during the holiday season. Rose remembered that time and sat down on the bed, hugging the photo...

...

TIME BEFORE... the day before Christmas...

...

The snow was falling peacefully, covering everything in a beautiful blanket of white that added a festive atmosphere.

Rose was sitting on a park bench, calmly waiting for Jaume to arrive. Just then, a rose appeared before her eyes. She smiled, taking the flower and then saw Jaume behind her.

"I'm sorry if I made you wait, but it took me a while to find some flowers," Jaume said before sitting beside her. With the rose in her hand, Rose moved closer to Jaume and laid her head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around her gently, kissing her cheek. "Did you wait long? I hope not. Sorry to have made you wait... But now I'm here, and we'll do lots of things together," he said as he caressed her hair.

She smiled, happy to spend more moments with him.

They both rose from the bench, and Jaume took her around the city, buying things they both liked. She was no exception. They stopped at stores where she would argue with him about buying her things, eventually getting her way.

In the afternoon, they went to a cinema and watched a movie together, enjoying popcorn, little cakes, and milkshakes.

After the movie, they visited a restaurant for a meal. Jaume had been anticipating a notification all day and when he received it, Rose watched him open it with great excitement.

However, after reading it, Jaume looked depressed, and Rose became concerned. She immediately got up and hugged him, anxious.

"It seems I didn't get in..." said Jaume.

"The medical... university...?" asked Rose.

"My father is going to kill me... I'll never be like my brother... While he is the best doctor around... I'm nowhere close... I'm finished..." Jaume said.

"N-no... You don't... have to be like... your bro-brother...!" Rose told him. Jaume stepped back from her embrace and stood up, then took her by the cheeks, gazing into her eyes. "Y-you... are already... special! At... At least to me!" she said.

Jaume showed a smile, caressed her cheeks, and kissed her sweetly.

"If that's the case... It doesn't matter... I don't want to be like my brother," ...

...

PRESENT MOMENT...

...

After recalling that memory, tears poured out from Rose, uncontrollable. She missed him, terribly.

She missed every sweet moment and even the few bitter ones. Jaume had filled Rose's heart with hope and love like no one else ever had.

He had given her dreams to look forward to, and most importantly... he taught her how to love.

...

The next day, Rose and Claramond were in the car, driving to the house they would now share. Rose was looking out the window at the rain, while Claramond drove, glancing at her from the corner of his eye.

After several minutes, they arrived, and Claramond first covered her from the acidic rain until they reached the shelter of the house, eager to keep her dry.

"Well... since we haven't had breakfast, I can cook something... I'm no chef, but I'll give it a try," said Claramond, heading towards the kitchen.

Hearing this, Rose followed him to the kitchen. He allowed her to stay close and began to search the refrigerator for some ingredients to cook. He had already stocked the pantry the day before, so there was no need to buy anything.

"Mm... Fancy eggs and bacon?" he asked. She nodded, so Claramond took out a dozen eggs and some bacon.

Rose wanted to assist, so she tied her hair back with a ribbon and then positioned herself next to him to help with the cooking...

Together, they cooked happily, and after finishing, they sat down at the dining table to start eating...
