Episode 9

Rose stood in the doctor's office with the window wide open, letting the rain wet her face and slowly began to sneeze, but she didn't mind.

She needed to feel better, and the rain was the best thing she had for it. After hearing the door open, she looked over and saw Claramond rushing to her side upon seeing her soaked head.

"Don't do this... You're not yet well..." he said, closing the window. She lowered her head, dejected, and stared at the floor, to which he simply placed a hand on her head. "I'll make sure you get vitamins and medicine, so you can go out and get wet as much as you like... But for now, please take care of your health," he told her. She nodded and afterward, he took a towel from the office to dry her head.

After she sneezed a couple of times, noticing this, he decided to write her a prescription and approached her on the office sofa where she lay.

"Rosemary, I'll get you some medicine, okay? Do you want to go home, or would you rather go somewhere else?" he asked, standing before her.

She rose and sat on the sofa, then looked away hesitantly.

"Home..." she replied softly.

"Perfect. Then let's head there," he said with a smile, standing up to help her to the door.

They left the office and went to the hospital's pharmacy where Claramond ordered some medicine for Rose. Once he obtained them, they exited the hospital, got into his car, and prepared to leave.

Inside the car, he turned on the heating and started driving towards their home. He then handed Rose some printouts that were images of houses.

"Choose the one you like the most," Claramond told her. Rose took the photos, looked at him with a hint of confusion, and then examined the houses carefully.

All had rather attractive designs and seemed to be large homes. Yet Rose was drawn to a small, one-story house, which she indicated with some excitement.

"That one? It's quite small... Do you really like that one?" he asked, to which she nodded eagerly. "Well, I can't argue against your choice. That it is," he conceded.

After a few minutes, they arrived back at the apartments where Rose immediately headed for her own. As soon as he left her there, Claramond spoke with his mother about what had happened...

...

Days passed, and the relationship between Claramond Paxley, one of Europe's most important doctors and owner of a chain of the best hospitals in the United States, and Rosemary Farrell, the youngest Farrell daughter, became a trend everywhere.

Cameras followed them everywhere, which greatly discomforted Rose, as dozens of people waited outside her apartment daily, hoping for an interview with her. Their age difference was what most resonated about their relationship; Rose was only 20 years old, while Claramond was already 37.

Because of this, Rose often had several crises during the day, prompting Claramond to hasten plans to move to a more peaceful place...

...

That morning, as Claramond had asked her, Rose got ready to go out since he would take her to breakfast at a special place.

Their relationship had grown more intimate in these days; Rose felt happy when he was near and Claramond adored spending time with Rose. It was clear they were involved.

As Rose waited impatiently on the sofa, checking the clock for Claramond's arrival, the door was finally knocked. She excitedly ran to the door and opened it, but was astonished to find an enormous bouquet of flowers, twice her size.

"This order is for the fairest lady in these parts," Claramond declared, carrying the immense bouquet. She smiled and accepted the flowers, which were quite heavy, so he helped her carry them. "Haha, they're twice your size; you look cute next to them," he observed. She smiled and set the flowers down to then hug Claramond.

He returned the smile softly and embraced her gently before taking her hand and leading her to the door.

Upon exiting, she saw the crowd of people waiting for her below. Visibly frightened, Claramond covered her again with his coat and bent down to face her and caress her cheeks.

"There's nothing to worry about, okay? I'll take care of you," he reassured her. She nodded, lowered her head, and allowed herself to be led by him.

They left the building with Claramond shielding her from the people; everyone was oblivious to Rose's condition, assuming she was just high-maintenance.

Finally, they reached the car, and Rose stayed hidden as Claramond started the engine. He hoped this wouldn't ruin his plans to bring her moments of happiness.

After a few minutes, they were clear of the crowd, and Claramond drove towards the city while Rose curled up in the seat.

"Are you okay?" he glanced at her. She nodded and then laid down, gazing at him. "Do you want to lie down? There's a button on the side that reclines the seat," he suggested.

She shook her head and continued watching him as he drove. Feeling peaceful by his side, she eventually closed her eyes for a little sleep, having not slept well throughout the night.

He smiled and let her rest, reaching for a blanket in the back seat when stopped at a traffic light. He unfolded it and covered Rose with it. She felt this and snuggled in, whispering softly, "Thank you..."
