Next Morning

Today it was haldi ceremony of my cousin's wedding, one amongst the many rituals in which turmeric is applied to bride and groom as it cleanses and purifies the mind, body and soul. The ceremony signifies as auspicious start for the bride and groom before entering into holy metrimony. It marks the beginning of new life together, and for this i got ready in dazzling yellow sharara all full of excitement again yet with the pain in my back reminding me of yesterday.

On reaching the venue i acknowledged everyone beautifully dressed in various shades of yellow and in the mid of tall handsome guys my sight landed on him 'UDAY' dressed in yellow chikankari kurta hugging his body lightly showing all his work at gym.

Suddenly when our eyes met and he gave me a swift smile i waved off my eyes from him in embarrassment as if i was caught drooling. Another day another embarrassment...........🤦

Soon fragrance of various delicacies filled my heart with joy and i could feel my stomach grumble. while enjoying my food, being seated on a table someone took a seat besides me and i could not gulp the food inside at that sight what a surprise my high school crush is seated besides me with that charming yet annoying smile.

Uday - Are you ignoring me?

Meera(still in shock) - who me? No not at all! i wasn't knowing you're here at the wedding.

Uday (with smirk on his face) - oh!!! sorry i thought it was you who fell in excitement on seeing me.😅😅😅

Meera (red in embarrassment) - don't you think you should be concerned about my back, rather than pulling my leg.

Uday - oh sorry again!! it was my concern drooling out of my face.

Meera (leaving the table) - i guess you didn't like me enjoying my food.

Uday (holding Meera's hand) - i am really sorry please sit and finish your food.

Meera seating herself with a grin.

Uday - how are you and how is your back now?

Meera - Well all is good, back is in a bit of pain, you tell how's your life, still a casenova?

Uday (giving huge laugh) - i was never a casenova it was my charm that all those girls were attracted which you could not handle and now are complaining.

Meera - I am not complaining it was just a question 🥱🥱

Uday - do you still have crush on me?

Meera(red again) - Noooo.....who said so?

Uday - your actions, as i mentioned earlier you were caught ignoring me....

Meera - as i too mentioned i did not notice you.....you're not even that handsome that could be acknowledged in a group of people that easily.

Uday- so you agree I am charming by doing just the opposite of what you just said.

Meera (rolled her eyes)-yeah whatever!!! 😂😂😂

Both laughing at this hysterical conversation.

Meera's POV- it's been long since we sat like this and had a conversation but it's refreshing after a long time......... and even I regained my knowledge about him being a casenova but a human with good heart.
