I have been working for Black industries for about 2 weeks now.

Every day that I am in the company - the same piercing ice blue eyes never leave My presence.

Mr Karusso doesn't talk much. He's an introvert.

But his eyes talk a lott, his eyes change color depending on his mood. That's what I have observed about my dearest boss.

Sometimes they are a very dark shade of gray and Sometimes those Ice blue eyes sparkle under the light like diamonds.

But I always get the feeling That he is a dangerous serial killer when I'm near him.

" Ms Salvatore. Please report to Mr Karusso's floor " the lady behind the speaker called out.

. logged off my laptop and went out my office locking the door.

I always felt nervous about being called to his office this past week because when my colleagues got called to his floor. They never came back and by the next day they would get replaced.

Whatever dangerous shit he does in That floor ,I do not want to be a part of it.

I walked to the elevator and pressed the Buttons to get up to floor 64. His floor. Only his floor. Only he can enter that floor freely unless he allows you to that floor.

I entered the floor and it looked better than all the floors I'd been in so far with its gold rims , huge glass pane overlooking NYC, and black theme .

He stood by his glass pane smoking away on his joint.

" Mr Karusso " I called out.

" Ms Salvatore "he called back out.

" I believe that you're related to the Devereaux's "

I shook at the mention of My family.

How did he know because I didn't share the same surname as the Devereaux's.

" Yes Sir "I muttered.

I wasn't surprised that he knew because on my birthday certificate, Uncle William and aunt Janine were my biological parents. They altered the information for some reason.

" I am soon to be your potential brother-in-law. On Friday we're going to France together "

I looked at him in confusion. A look he couldn't see because of the way he stood facing NYC.

" Excuse me sir ? " I asked him.

" You will find out when we get there. For now just pack what you need "he didn't bother himself to explain.

I joined the pieces together in my head. Lilly was going to marry my hot boss.

It was only Wednesday and 2 weeks after I got the job did I just find out that my hot boss was going to be my potential brother-in-law.

I am not surprised that The Devereaux's didn't tell me this

" Yes sir "I said as I began to usher myself out the office.

" I didn't say that you may leave my office "his husky voice seemed to growl at me.

I turned around wondering how he sensed that I was leaving when he is staring down at NYC with his devil eyes.

I turned my head up and faced his face

His bold features sharpened my eyesight.

His mesmerizing beauty sent me off.

His ice blue eyes pierced my soul. They weren't grayed, they were a nice light shade of blue.

His unique messy ash black hair spoke to me

" Why sir ? "I asked him in confusion as to why he didn't let me leave His office, although the conversation had long been over.

" I want you to design the clothing if the proposal is a success "He commanded.

" Will do sir "I politely replied to his commands.

" And call me Judith "

his eyes seemed to hold softness in them but quickly turned to a dark shade of gray again. I even saw a smile draw in his face, but he quickly hid that smile back into his ice-cold face.

" Go." He commanded

his sudden mood change made me confused.

One minute he looked happy and contempt. The next he looked so empty.

I quickly walked out his floor and back to my floor.

The elevator opened, and I was met with a worried Liana.

" Mr Karusso called you into his floor, and you came back ! "She excitedly said.

" I did come back "my blacklike eyes glistened.

Liana dragged me back into the elevator in a split second.

" Liana..." her overexcited nature cut me off.

" Don't forget about the plan we Made on Monday "she reminded me.

2 days ago, Liana and I had planned to go to this new restaurant to get to know more about each other.

The plan had slipped off my mind after the most recent encounter with Mr Karusso.

" But Liana… Won't Mr Karusso get pissed at us for leaving work without his permission ? " I asked Liana.

" He won't do anything. My brother is his best friend "Liana shrugged, and my jaw fell open.

She hadn't told me this at all.

" Judith always lets me off the hook no matter what. Trust me when I say that this isn't the first time "She chuckled.

Liana walked to a black Lamborghini Huracán.

and my jaw was Still wide open.

I didn't expect Liana to be wealthy. Rather I expected her to be rich but not that rich .

The pay as exec in Black industries was high, but you'd still have to pay for the high taxes, rent and necessities.

Liana clicked on her car key and the doors flew up like wings.

" My passenger princess "she said as she began driving.

Liana sped the car as I held tight on the seat.

" Liana slow down … You will kill us before Mr Karusso kills us "I shrieked.

" Relax "she said as she parked at a huge fancy looking restaurant.

I felt so out of place already with the same work attire I wore every dayy to work.

Liana walked into the restaurant as I followed like a lost puppy.

Liana seemed like a VIP as everyone smiled at her and the restaurant seemed to have a long liking for her.

Many people bowed their heads down for her.

I wish that people liked me like that and respected me like how they respect Liana.

Liana walked to a two-seater table.

A waiter pulled the chair for her to sit as she began to sit down.

I just pulled the chair for myself. Trust issues are really prominent on my side.

" so what do you want ? " She held the menu looking at it in delight .

" A small bun and a glass of water " I said as Liana frowned at me .

The food I want was the cheapest on the menu . Just a dollar .

The rest cost over 100 dollars .

" Why would you order that only..It's not filling at all " Liana still frowned .

" You know that I am the one paying right ? I'd never drag someone out to a restaurant without paying for their meal . order whatever you want " She said with a deep smile .

" but how do I pay you back though ? " I asked Liana whilst panicking.

" you don't need to pay me back . Besides this entire menu covers only 0.01% of my bank account " she smiled at me encouragingly .

" And look how fragile you are yet you don't want me to buy you food " Liana said worryingly.

I looked through the menu and saw all the foods that Lilly would brag about to me . the foods that I'd never get if I asked for .

" I will take the Large BBQ chicken pizza , the large chocolate milkshake and for desert , I will take the oreo cheesecake " I said with a gleamed smile .

Liana's eyes seemed to hold sadness and happiness at the same time . A look with so many emotions.

" I will take that too " Liana said to the waitor who went off to prepare the food .

" Next we're going shopping . You can't always be wearing that to work " She said whilst showing a excited tone .

I felt so guilty for going overboard with the menu .

" No it's really fine " I tried to calm her down but she looked at me as if I was crazy .

" It's not fine at all " She worriedly said .

" I feel like Judith likes you " She unexpectedly said .

" no , he could never like someone like Me "

" He would . You look so beautiful , you're talented and you're a very nice person " She reassured me as I felt like tearing up and telling her all about my faults m

" Why would he like someone who works for him and is way below his standards ? " I asked her while curious.

" Judith is like my other brother and I've known him for a long time . He has never looked at anyone that way before " She said with a smile .

I frowned when she said that . I didn't ever think that any boy would like me .

" Liana how old is Judith ? " I curiously asked her .

as if Liana knew all my questions. she answered " He is 24 . I am 22 and my brother is 24 "

I nodded my head .

I didn't expect Judith to be 24 .

Our meal arrived and Liana insisted on praying first before we ate .

I bowed my head and she bowed hers too as our hands intertwined.

Liana prayed as my eyes closed .

Mama was religious and I followed in her footsteps . We'd go to church everyday together alone . My brother and my dad were the opposite , They believed that there was no God .

" In Christ I pray . Amen "

Liana finished off the prayer .

we began eating our meal in scilence until there was no Crumb on the plate left .

Liana dragged my arm back to her car and drove off to the mall .

" My brother is so annoying . He is a pick me guy. " Liana whined as she told me stories about her annoying brother and my eyes began warming up as tears ran across my face .

I didn't even remember my dear Elly's name . I knew his nickname but not his full name . I just knew our surname which sticked with me since I lost him . I missed him so much and he was only 12 yet he risked his life just to save me .

" Belle what's wrong ? " Liana asked in sympathy.

" I had a older brother who died tragically just to save my life " The tears poured down my face .

Liana stopped her car and hugged me while caressing my upper arm .

" He is looking down at you happily " she muttered.

I wiped my tears as the car parked outside the mall .

We shopped for hours and by the time we were done . The trolley was packed with hundreds of clothes , accessories and make up that I thought I'd never own .

Liana drove back to the company.

the building was silent as we entered and was dangerously cold .

" And you know. Alex walked into school with buttox ripped pants and he didn't notice that they were torn - " Liana was cut off by the devil .

" And he got teased about it for days " the devil continued Liana's sentence.

Liana shrieked but soon looked calm.

my knees trembled as he walked towards us .

" Where the **** were you " his voice was dangerously calm .

" The new restaurant then the mall " Liana shrugged but he pushed her to the side and faced me .

" Did you get my permission ? " His tone was so cold .

" n-no..sir... " I replied to him .

" Then why the **** would you dare to ******* GO OUT WITHOUT MY DAMN PERMISSION !? " he yelled .

For the past week , I have only seen his cold calm side but here I was looking at his dangerous angry side .

I kept my head down as I could feel him get more angry .

" AND DON'T ******* CALL ME SIR ! " He yelled even louder as I flinched.

Liana got up and dragged him to the corner and whispered something in his ear .

His eyes seemed to go darker then light then dark again .

They held anger , sorrow , guilt and many different emotions.

Mr Karusso came back to me and held both my upper arms looking at me in pity .

A look that I'd never thought that I would get from him .

" I apologize about my outburst " he apologized to me then let go of me while furiously walking back to his office.

he apologized ?

The devil apologized ?

Liana looked at me with a grin from the corner that she was still at .

Liana waltzed towards Me .

" What did you say to him ? " I asked her.

" something " her grin grew wider .

whatever Liana said to the devil , she really has her ways as her brothers' sister.
