CHAPTER :3YOU ARE NOT DEAD?

After all that Mei Weiwei had gone through last night, she was put to a proper rest.

Later on the same day, she found out that the Fang's mansion was a bit closer to theirs. That meant they could see each rather often.

Strange thing was, her mum never mentioned the Fangs been so close to them.

Fang Leng sat under a big tree at the backyard of the Fang's mansion. The tree was really huge which covered almost a quarter of the backyard.

Various varieties of plants and flowers made the environment look more alive and serene.

He completely immersed in his phone. His long eyelashes swept gently on his eyes as he pressed on the screen of the phone skillfully. He was super handsome, but rumor has it that, he was unreasonable.

"Playing with your phone?" An unfamiliar but sweet voice fell on him. Looking up, he found the girl he had saved last night. Also, the girl he heard he was betrothed to. Though her face was familiar, her voice was not.

He nodded and without sparing her another look, he turned back to his phone.

Mei Weiwei hadn't seen his face last night, so she took this opportunity to examine him properly.

Wow! Actually it was astounding she got betrothed to such a handsome guy.

He had sharp edges and always kept his serious but sexy look.

The environment got awkward for her since he barely looked or talked go her.

"Um... thank you for sending me here last night..." she said shyly as she kept blushing.

It was rare for her to hook up with handsome guys.

He suddenly dropped the phone on his lap. Mei Weiwei had been standing since she came. Her legs were all sore. She sat next to him and crossed her legs.

A smirk appeared on his side lip.

Thanks? She had come into his way and spoiled all his plans. If there was someone he wished could die right away, it was Mei Weiwei. He had regretted saving her. If only he knew was the girl he was going to get engaged with, he would have let die alone.

"It was nothing though…" He said indifferently.

Sitting next to her handsome crush she stared at him without shifting her gaze. If only time could stand still. She thought

"Are you done staring?" He asked. Although he was focused on his phone, he could still feel her gaze on her.

Gosh! What a pervert She was really getting on his nerves.

She seemed to be lost in her fantasy world.

Awkward chuckle.

"Oh sorry..." She apologised immediately and looked away.

He turned to face her.

OMG! Was he going to kiss her. The thought flattered the butterflies in her stomach. This was not the time for face to turned super hot.

She tried to hide her face embarrassingly.

He remained his cold and indifferent look. "You are not dead?"

She chuckled awkwardly. From the looks of things, she probably misheard him.

Wait! What was he.....

"... Pardon?..." She asked

He got up abruptly and kept his phone in his pocket. "Mum and dad told me the girl I was betrothed to have a car accident about five years ago... I was the happiest person when I heard such news... However, I wouldn't have to get engaged to someone I barely know and like..." He said indifferently as he kept his gaze away from hers.

She felt a slight guilt in her heart. He must've had a hard time. She thought. For a handsome guy like him to be betrothed at a year old.

However, she was optimistic that he was going to be happy around her.
