Chapter 3: Making Amends and a friend

Avary looked thorough the empty shelf which the book she was reading was next to.

“Ah!” He exclaimed, slightly tilting his head and rubbing at the back of it.

Avary got up form her original spot and headed towards the area where she heard the book fell along with the sound of a familar voice exclaimed in pain.

When she reached she stretched her hands out to help him up even after seeing that it was her arrogant deskmate.

The boy looked at her in confusion but then subconsciously reached out his hands and took avarys.

“Thanks.” He mumbled softly looking away from her.

“Pardon?” She asked with a slight smile on her face, she was suprised to see that the arrogant jerk who was her desk-mate actually said thanks.

So she asked again to make sure she heard correctly

“Th...thank you” he says again This time looking in her beautiful forest green eyes.

Staring back at him Avary smiled and soon caught On at what her lips were doing and slapped her cheeks.

“I’m sorry...” he said to her

“Why?” she answered acting dumb,

He paused and looked at her without single concern as to what he was saying but had a look if sincerity. This time he had actually meant it, he softly explained “I’m sorry... I shouldn’t have lashed out at you earlier in class. I was having a terrible day and I had held it in for too long.”

Avary looked at him no longer shocked but also took the blame, “I’m also sorry... I was also having a bad day and when you said that to me even if I tried to supremes my anger I actually lashed out so...”

The boy gave a slight nod and let out a gentle smile before reaching out his hands and introduced himself, “ I’m Jace Shen.”

Avary was shocked, she heard this name somewhere but could not remember, she also reached out her hands and shook Jace’s.

“Avary.” She said with a smile, “Avary James.” She added to the introduction.

Deep down in her bad day... she was actually having fun talking to jace and so did he.

They spent their lunch period on the library talking to each other. They were both happy that they made amends to their “misunderstanding”

After class

“Hi you must be avary!” A girl walked up to Avary’s seat.

Avary looked at the girl who had short brown hair and bright blue eyes smiling at her, exchanging back smiles Avary replied “yes”

Seeing this response the girl jumped into the seat in front of Avary and introduced herself. “My name is Cherry.”

“Hi.” Avary replied back with a smile. Lookin at the girl’s cheerful attitude towards her. She felt as though she was not bad.

Cherry spoke to Avary for a long time, and they both became friends. Avary was happy to find someone who did not want to dig her eyes out and her mood became better.
