AVERY POV

the days pass quickly, Veronica and I was able to present our research study about medicines in the big program or event she was talking to me last time. It was a successful presentation, so we celebrate our success.

Today is Saturday, my cousin Jade birthday. I didn't send Veronica the location, because she said she would go there with me, and I immediately agreed to it. While I was fixing myself to get ready, someone suddenly messaged me.

*ting

Veronica: Ace, where are you now? I'm here at the parking lot.

Ace: Just wait for me, I'm going down now.

Veronica: Ok bestie.

Ace: Okay.

Veronica she was like my sister, guiding me in everything I do, she's always there for me. She's always there when I need someone to lean on. And I love her.

After I messaged her, I finished what I was doing. What I'm wearing today is a simple sleeveless dress, the dress is fitted to me so you can see my body shape and it's color black. And a simple make up.

When I got arrived at the parking lot, I saw Veronica right away, standing while using her phone. I went to her.

She saw me approaching her and said "Hey, you're so slow, are you a turtle?" she rolled her eyes after saying that I was slow.

"No, I'm not" I answered her question and "I'm not th****at slow" I disagree with what she said. she just rolled her eyes again, didn't even bother to argue back and went straight to my car. I just laughed and followed her.

We are already inside the car. "I'm going to sleep first, just wake me up when we get there" she said with her eyes closed. "Ok madam" I told her and started the car engine.

A few minutes later...

We arrived at the place where my cousin's party was held, and I parked my car. I turned to look at Veronica and woke her up. "Veronica we're here" I said while gently shaking his shoulder. She woke up immediately and thanked me. "Thank you Ace" I smiled at her. "You're welcome, retouch your makeup before we go in" I said while fixing myself too. After that we went straight inside the bar. Yes, my cousins birthday will be held right here at the bar, together with her friends and acquaintances too, we celebrate her birthday.

When we entered the bar, we were greeted by a very loud music, many people are dancing on the dancefloor and also having fun, the others are already drunk.

I spotted my cousin Jade, so I went to her along with Veronica. "Hey Jade, Happy birthday" I greet her while handling my gift to her. "Thank you Ace, it's good that you and Veronica come to my party, even if you are busy with your work" she said smiling.

"Today is our day off and we also need a break from stress" I giggled. "Happy birthday Jade" Veronica greet her and she give her gift for Jade.

"Thank you Veronica" Jade said, smiling.

"I'll go ahead, I will just go to my friends, just enjoy yourself, drink whatever you want." she said before leaving.

Veronica and I sat down on a couch. "I'll just get our drinks" I told her and went to the counter to get something to drink. after I got our drinks I went back to Veronica and I gave her his drink. "Here you go" and sat down on the couch.

Later on. "Do you want to dance?" I asked her. "Sure" she said, ready to go. I smiled and we went to the dancefloor. After a while, while we're dancing I bumped into someone behind me. I looked at it and I was surprised who it was.

Saimon Lee, what did he do here? we looked at each other as if we're examining each other. "Hey Saimon, what are you doing here?" Veronica interjected. Saimon turned his attention to her. "Oh hi Nica, I'm here with my friends celebrating someone birthday, I think the name is Jade" he said to her sister he called his sister "nica" because He said that the name Veronica is too long, that's Veronica told me.

Then he turned to me "Hi, I think I've seen you before" He said to me, smiling. "Yeah, we bump into each other at the hospital" I said to him like I'm really interested. "And she's my bestfriend bro since first year highschool, she also visits me at home, you don't know because you're always away from home" Veronica said to her brother. "Oh by the way I'm Saimon Lee, Veronica's brother" He introduced himself and extended his hand to me. "I know, I'm Avery Celeste but everyone call me Ace so you can call me Ace" I smile at him accepted his hand.

After that he said goodbye "I'll go ahead, it was nice meeting you Ace" he said smiling before leaving. After he left I couldn't hide my excitement, I can't believe that I held his hand.

My heart is beating faster again, what did you do to me Saimon Lee? I smiled thinking what happened earlier.
