Ah, the Christmas month was coming in hot, and you could practically feel the excitement in the air. And speaking of feeling, my heart was all aflutter – not just from the holiday vibes, but because I had a thing for AJ. They had this way about him that had me thinking about him all the time. But guess what? There was a twist in the plot. AJ let me know they couldn't make it to the Christmas party. Bummer, right? But I wasn't about to let that stop me. Anyway, I'm low-key impressed with myself, thinking these socks are super cute. I'm crossing my fingers that he'll be into them too. Fast forward to the big day, I hand him the socks. Dude's like, "What's this?" but in a good way, you know? He opens it, and there they are – the socks of many blue triangles.

Surprise, surprise, he's actually digging them! You can see it in his grin, like he just won the sock lottery. He puts 'em on, and it's like his feet are having a blue party. They're all cozy and stylish at the same time.

So, since he wasn't at the party, I ended up giving it to him after New Year's. We were all wondering when classes were gonna start again. Just couldn't wait to get back into the swing of things.

....... "Wait, seriously? He didn't even give me anything? What a bummer!" But you know what? It's all good. I'm not one to expect something in return or anything like that. My deal is simple: I just want him to feel all the love in the world.

I mean, let's be real, gifts are nice and all, but they're not the be-all and end-all. It's the connection that counts, right? So there I was, standing with my gift, a goofy grin on my face, and this dude just gives me a casual nod. No box, no card, no nothing. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow and think, "Well, that's one way to play it."

And my feels are all about making him feel like he's on top of the world. I want him to know that he's cared for, appreciated, and cherished. Even if he's got this whole nonchalant thing going on.

Maybe he'll catch on eventually and realize that I'm not just handing out gifts for the heck of it. I'm handing out pieces of my heart, wrapped in a bow of affection.

And if he doesn't? Well, that's cool too. Because it's not about me, it's about him. It's about that split-second where his eyes might light up, his lips might twitch into a smile, and he might just feel loved in his own way. No reciprocation necessary. Just vibes, man. Just good vibes.
