Chapter 2: Shocking

After hearing what the guy in front of her said, she unconsciously feel her chest up.

There's no wound?

But I am sure I was shot by the snake.

After a few minutes of spacing out, the girl on the bed suddenly laugh out loud.

"Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha. Hahaha hahaha.. Ha. Hahaha."

Shocked, the other four people in the room looked at the girl.

The indifferent man has his reaction visibly change from that of indifferent to one who is shocked then petrified, then horrified, then calm, then finally back to his indifference.

ALL of it in a span of five seconds, almost amusing for the girl lying on the bed who saw this reaction.

She then scanned her surroundings, only to find the other people's face so funny she started laughing once again.

"Hey! What's wrong with you??"

The shocked young girl asked, now looking angry unlike her scared face earlier.

" Have you gone insane?"

Asked the angry looking middle-aged lady whose face looked like someone run off with her entire fortune.

The other two handsome guys who have the same faces, one has his mouth agaped, the other silent but has question marks on his eyes.

" There's no head injury or any other trauma."

Said the doctor after close inspection to the girl who just woke up.

" maybe her brain got fried with fever"

The college looking girl said in her loud whisper.

"Natalia, stop it.."

Warned by the quite twin, the girl called Natalia close her mouth but rolled her eyes.

" So what really happened to her, doctor?"

With visible concern, the quite looking man who warned the girl Natalia, asked.

"We'll see with more test results, for now let's keep her here for a few more days to observe."

"Thank you doctor."

"What exactly did you do to fry your brain that the first thing you do when you wake up is laugh like a lunatic?"

"Mom, she just woke up."

The quite guy said after hearing what the lady had said.

HOW the hell would I know?

I just got here, I don't even know how I come to possess this body.

Maybe she died of fever then I happen to trip over her like this?

Tsk. Like I can tell them that.

" Can you people just leave? I don't even know you so why the hell do I have to listen to all these rambling from you?"

SILENCE

"What?"

" what are talking about?"

"See? What did I tell you? She's got her brain fried!!"

"Natalia!" This time the warning came from the indifferent man.

" According to our test results, nothing is wrong with the patient,. It's just that her fever was so high that she did not get enough oxygen to her brain that caused her a temporary memory lost. "

"She can get her memory in a matter of days or weeks in the latest."

"So I can be discharged?"

The five people looked at her then the noisy guy from before started narrating her the story.

She paid attention to everything the guy told her while thinking about what happened to the original Melissa.

After a while, the guy was finished storytelling. Then he sat on her bedside the ask her

The young lady in the room scoffed

After being glared at by the quite guy beside her, she shut her mouth but frown at him.
