Family past

POV : Chloe

When she reached her home it was already early morning and she walked to her porch to unlock her gate when notice a black SUV was parked a few blocks away but she decided to ignore it because she was exhausted from the early scenario and entered the home.

Her home was small and old with 3 bedroom kitchen and lobby. That's sufficient for 3 people: her mother, younger sister and herself. She was the only source of income in her family with little savings which was saved by her mother when their condition was good.

They never thought that they will face such financial crises. They were not filthy rich but had a proper lifestyle when her father was alive .

But now time is changed ,her father committed suicide few years ago in pressure of loans and cheat by her business partner, or we can say lifetime best friend. He had nothing left to fulfill their family needs . That makes him mentally unstable.

After the father's death her mother gets sick and needs to be operated on but if she spends their savings on mother it will not be enough.

So Chloe started working part-time as an accountant in a small restaurant while completing her degree then started a full time job after completing her studies.

But she needed more money for her mother's operation, sister's education and had to pay all the debt which her father left behind.

Sometimes she cursed her father for leaving them behind and making them suffer like that . She thought her father chooses the easiest way by dying but she knows that if her father was healthy then they would never have left them like this.

They were such a cute happy family. Her father wanted her to handle all his business as soon as she completed her study, so he made her sit with him in his office and gave her experience of how to handle everything in a business.

Technically she has experience in the business field but in her documents she was still inexperienced.

Her father's company share was sold to pay the loans but still not enough which was brought by her so-called uncle or her father's business partner .

He manipulated her and her mother for the share they possess by saying that he will never let anything happen to their company but that was a lie he never paid loans and kicked her out of company because she had no share or any ownership.

Her father was accused by society for fraud , black money . People also say that her father had a connection with the mafia which she had no idea how much truth was in all this . Father always kept his business and family separated so she never wanted to trust.

He loved her and his family so much, that's why she refused she believed in those rumors.

But it doesn't matter what she thought because people don't want to have any connection with them because of that.

She is having difficulty getting any job even with excellent academic performance because of her family image.

Day by day she's losing all her hopes but still tries to put a confident smile on her face for her mother and sister.

She doesn't want to lose her mother, so she gave second thought to Damon Brown's offer while seeing his business card" Should she accept his offer".She thought there will be nothing worse than her current situation.

Her dignity is not more important than her mother and sister. Mother doesn't have much time and if something happened to her then she will never face herself again.

She decided to call him after she woke up with that she changed her attire for sleep and went to bed..

Till now She would never know how her decision will make her life upside down in future.
