Between the Brothers

Sa umaga na yun, sila Tyson at Cristina ay naghahanap sa kay Natasha. Last night, Cristina went home from school. Natasha's parents were busy on work, Cristina wondered kung bakit sirado yung pinto at walang ilaw sa loob ng bahay kaya tinwagan sana ni Cristina ang phone ni Natasha pero ang sumagot ay si Tyson.

"Hello?" sabi ng isang lalaki sa cellphone.

"Tyson??" sabi ni Cristina.

"Bakit nasa iyo ang cellphone ni Natash?" tanong ni Cristina.

"Nakita ko ito kanina sa library"

"Bakit? Anong nanyari?" dagdag na tanong ni Tsyon.

"Wala pa nakauwi si Natasha, baka alam mo kung nasaan siya" sabi ni Cristinana worried sa kay Natasha.

Hinanap nila si Natasha kahit saan but she is nowhere to be found.

"Parang nagalit si Natasha sa akin, kasi kahapon hindi niya ako pinansin" sabi ni Tyson.

"Hahanapin natin siya" sabi ni Cristina.

"Natasha!" sigaw ni Tyson.

"Bakit puntahan kaya natin ang forest na malapit sa school namin"

"Palagi kasi siya doon pumupunta" dagdag na sabi ni Tyson.

"Baka nandoon siya puntahan natin" sabi ni Cristina.

Ilang oras na silang Tyson at Cristina naghahanap kay Natasha. Sila ay nakarating na sa kagubatan at doon may na kita silang isang lalaking nakapormal ang suot.

"Bakit nga magtanong tayo, ayun oh may gwapo parang isang prinsipe" sabi ni Cristina.

Lumapit sila sa lalaki, ang lalaki na nilapitan nila ay hindi anuman si Prince Psyche Nathaniel of Alondophia.

"Excuse me sir, may nakita ka bang babae?" tanong ni Tyson at ipinakita ang litarto ni Natasha.

"Sorry...pero wala akong nakita" Nathaniel hesitated.

"Salamat" sabi ni Tyson.

Pero parang may masamang kutob si Cristina sa kay Prince Psyche kaya itinanong niya ito, "Uhmm, excuse me but I think I'm going out of line pero bakit ang suot mo ay pormal at nandito ka sa kagubatan?".

The Prince stopped and answered the question "I was lost".

"let's go now Cristina" sabi ni Tyson.

"Wait"

"Cristina, let's go" hinawakan ni Tyson ang braso ni Cristina. Prince Psyche keeps on walking.

"Why are lost in woods near a school and also you don't look like a student from here?" Cristina shouted and asked. The prince stopped and this was the words he said, "Mind your own business". The prince keeps walking on a distance until he reached the school.

"Ang rude naman, bleh" sabi ni Cristina at nagpatuloy sila sa paghahanap ni Natasha.

Habang naghahanap silang Cristina at Tyson kay Natasha. May na matuklasan naman si Natasha na kamangha-manghang makapangyarihan na mahika sa loob ng kwebang kaniyang natuklasan kasama ang prinsipe kagabi.

Nakita niya ang kaniyang librong dinadala ay umiilaw. Nilapitan niya ito, upang tingnan.

"Anong nanyari, hindi ba ito radio active or some kind of technology akala ko normal book lang ito" sabi ko sa sarili ko.

"Hindi yan radio active, normal book lang yan" may na rinig akong boses. Tumalikod ako at may nakita akong matandang lalaki na nakasuot ng parang witch hat at nakadress. Wait, hindi ba siya ay isang... wait...tanungin ko nga muna.

"It's so early in morning to make a mess" sabi ng matandang lalaki.

"Uhmm, sino ka?" tanong ko.

"Oh, sorry I forgot to introduce myself, ako ang tagabantay sa magical cave na ito at sa mundo"

"Ako pala si Frederick Drew, pwede naman mo akong tawagin na Magician Drew" dagdag ng mtandang lalaki.

"Bakit ka nandito, ngayon lumabas?" tanong ko.

"Anong tanong naman yan" inis na sabi niya.

"May tanong rin ako, Where's the Prince that you found as a rock?" tanong niya sa akin.

"I don't know, kasi sa pagdilat ng aking mga mata ay wala na siya" sabi ko.

"Hayssst!!" sigaw niya.

"Bakit kq galit?" tanong ko.

"Alam mo ba ang ginawa mo, you just brought the demon to life" sabi niya pero di ko pa rin maintindihan kung ano.

"What?" I shouted.

"Oh, sorry" I said.

"He and his brother was cursed to stone by a great sorcerer by the river because of what happened 15 years ago,"

There was a fight between brothers because when there father disappeared from nowhere. The throne was supposed to passed to the first born prince, but then the second born also wanted to take the throne. His half blood beast brother, become a beast forever, that's only what he knew. His brother became so sick he never thought of the side effect to him. He practiced magic from the great sorcerer but the great sorcerer didn't expect that he would do it to his own brother. Every night the second born prince become powerful demon as a punishment but he always suffer pain inside. He keeps himself in a tower.

One full moon came, The pain that he keeps on enduring was hurting to him more and more, he become a demon even morning. One day, he's brother and him were having an argument outside the kingdom. They were fighting about the first born prince's favorite book that their father gave them. The book was missing from everywhere in the kingdom. The beast was so angry that he could kill his own brother, his brother can't fight because of the pain he was suffering. They meet the great sorcerer who was holding the book that their father gave them. The great sorcerer cursed them to stoned.

"And then the book??" Natasha asked.

"He planted it here and it became a tree, but he scattered some pieces. If the all the 7 books are place back here the curse of the brothers will be gone forever" sabi ng matandang lalaki.

"Pero bakit narelease sa stone yung isng brother?" tanong ko.

"Binasa mo ba yung nakalagay sa tree?" sabi ng lalaki.

"Ayyy, sorry kasalanan ko pala ito"

"Wait...Omy gosh ang city, my family is in danger" sabi ko at ako'y tumakbo pa layo.

"Wait," Drew shouted and I stopped.

"Every book that you will encounter is a memory of the brothers, and they aren't just book because they chapters of the book that their father gave them" He shouted.

"Okay" sabi ko and then I continued walking until I reached outside the cave.

"The Chapters of Book, that will bought back their memory of my good sons, I hope she is one who will save my sons," sabi ng matandang laki.
