'It takes a monster to destroy a monster '

'Bro, good for you. He was just a pain in your life, trying to dominate and over-smart you.', Aaron stated as he came near Daniel.

It was noisy, Daniel was sitting on his chair, moving his legs. Joseph came from behind and patted his shoulders with force. Daniel glanced at Joseph and glanced away.

THIRTY HOURS AGO

Dogs barking, sounds of chain clinks mixed with the wind, footsteps on dry leaves fallen on the ground. 'Go find him, quick!', Liam ordered his crew. Running into the forest to find James. 'Yes Mom, inspectors are here, and they are finding James. Tell dad to take his medicines.', Daniel added, 'Yes Mom, I know, I know you want to, I will manage things here. Try to get your visa as soon as possible.'

'All they ever did was care about themselves, else why would they leave us alone for eight whole years now. Even now they don't have the courtesy to come and attend the funeral.', Daniel murmured to himself.

After another two hours of searching, they found my brother's body. It was in quite bad shape. The fight looked intense. Inspectors came and offered me water, but my throat was in my mouth. I felt like puking and wished that I was living a bad dream and none of these were true. I was sitting in the police car when I saw someone in the hood standing in the crowd. Furthermore, I stood and walked to the crowd to see who that was. By the time I arrived, there were only those policemen and their team collecting evidence. 'Who was that?', I thought to myself. I looked around for some more time but no use.

'Let's get you back home. We'll send the body for an autopsy.', Liam said as he went over to his men indicating them to cover the body in the cadaver pouch.

I walked up to Liam. 'Can I just have the body as it is? Of course, after cleaning and in a good state.', Liam looked at me as I spoke and asked for my reason. 'Well being twins --', I paused and continued 'My brother wouldn't want anything more happening to his body after all these.' I continued 'It saddening how all these happened and now more.', I sighed. Liam was still gazing at me, but he nodded slightly and said,' Alright, I'll ask them to hand it over to you after the cleaning is done.' 'Thanks, Liam.'

It was a long day. I was sent back home, cooked me an oatmeal which I tossed away. I then went upstairs to my room and sat on the bed looking at the wall blankly. My eyes fell on the table on which a diary was kept. I looked at it. Didn't seem like mine. I opened the first page and saw it directed to me. I kept it away and decided to read it later.

PRESENT

'Aaron shut your mouth for your good.', I said irritated.
