As Lila looked at the pictures and messages on her
phone, she felt her heart pounding in her chest. She
couldn't believe that Jake, the quiet boy from her math
class, had turned out to be her stalker. The realization
nit her like a punch to the gut, and she felt a wave of feal
wash over her.
She was trapped in her aunt's house with a dangerous
man who was obsessed with her, and she had no idea
how to get out. She tried to stay calm and think of a
plan. She couldn't call the police or her friends, because
Jake had hacked into her phone and computer.
She felt vulnerable and helpless, and the thought of
being alone with him made her skin crawl.
She looked around the room, trying to find something,
anything, that she could use to defend against him. She
saw a metal lamp on the bedside table, and she picked it
up, holding it like a weapon
She took a deep breath, steeling herself for whatever
was going to happen next. She decided that she would
not go down without a fight.
She turned to face the door, holding the lamp tightly in
her hand. She prepared herself for the worst, and she
waited..
The sounds were all she could hear, the pounding of her
heart in her chest and the steady breathing of the man
behind the door. Her eyes were locked onto the door, and
every hair on her body was standing on end. She was
both terrified and furious.
She could feel the air in the room getting more and
more stifling with every passing minute. She wanted to
scream, but the fear of alerting Jake kept her silent. She
could feel his presence outside the door, could almost
picture him standing there, waiting for her to open it. She
felt trapped, like a mouse in a trap with no escape.
Tears started to well up in her eyes, and she gritted her
teeth, trying to hold them back. She didn't want to let
Jake see her cry, didn't want to give him the satisfaction
of knowing that he had broken her. But the fear was too
much, and the tears started to pour down her cheeks
despite her best efforts to hold them back.
She tried to steady her breathing, but the air in the room
felt thick and heavy, making it difficult to breathe. She
could feel her pulse racing and her hands were shaking
She didn't know how much longer she could keep this
up.
Finally, after what felt like hours but was probably only a
few minutes, she heard a sound outside the door. It was
a soft tap, like someone was knocking
Her heart raced, and she took a deep breath, preparing
herself for what was to come. She felt a cold sweat
break out on her forehead and her hands. She wanted to
run, but knew she couldn't. This was her only chance of
getting out alive
She took a deep breath and opened the door, ready for
anything. As the door slowly creaked open, she saw a
figure standing there, his face hidden in the shadows. It
was Jake.
