episode 05

~Luca~

"Luca I need to talk to you,it's about th-"

"No! not now it's not important, just prepare everything for tomorrow" I left Hendry standing at the entrance as i entered ny house and straight away walk to the stairs.

When I entered my office, I saw my best friend James was already there, sitting on the chair waiting.

"What happened?" James is the person who knew me well since he was my childhood friend since i was little. I know he did some background checking on Maddie. Because before i came back home he called me and told me that he had get some information about Maddie background.

"I don't want to talk about it right now" and James understood that.

"What do you think is more important for yourself? Maddie or the mission?" I didn't know that there was a reason why James asked this question.

I still couldn't believe what happened with Maddie, that it was over before it even began, just because she suddenly decided that she wanted marry someone. I felt betrayed and angry.

"The mission of course. Nobody needs a girl anyways" I said

~Maddie~

"Isn't there any other way?" after telling Luna about everything that had happened we were sitting on my bed.

Replying to her question I just shook my head. There wasn't. And Luna knew that too. I'd loose everything I worked so hard for.

"I'm really sorry this is happening to you Maddie and that there's nothing we can do and yes, everything is going very fast. But I gotta say that I'm relieved that it's Xavier and not some random guy. He'll treat you good" Luna looked down at my engagement ring while saying so.

It was typical of her to see the positive. And I used to be the same way. But nowadays I just overthink. I wonder why my father wants me to marry the guy he raised like his own in our company.

Luna got ready to leave as the doorbell rang. Today Xavier came to pick me up to make some preparations for the wedding day.

We were going to the bakery to pick out a cake and wedding dress today. I can't believe that everything is going so fast. We are engaged for a couple of days and now we're already planning everything.

"You look amazing" Xavier said something along these words at every dress I tried on.

"You're really not much of a help, if you say this to every dress Xavier" I chuckled and went back into the fitting room to try on the next dress.

Then i heard a knock in the fitting room. Then i opened the door to see Xavier was standing in front of me while holding a wedding dress on his hand.

"Try this, maybe it will fit you well" he passes me the wedding dress then he give me a wink. I don't know what is that mean to be. But he really has a good taste when it came to dressing.

"Thanks you" then i close the door and put on the dress he gave me.

You know when brides say that when they try on a certain dress, they feel like it the one? Yeah, it wasn't like that and I didn't want it to be like that. It wouldn't be the dress I'd wear for the guy I didn't love, but it was a beautiful dress and I felt like it would fit Xavier's type.

When I got out of the fitting room Xavier's eyes almost fell out.

"W-Woah" his mouth was still hanging open.

"I like it too" was all I could say. Truly the dress he choose for me was really beautiful.

Then he stood up and walked toward me. He put his hand around my waist and whispers in my ears.

"I can't wait to see you in that dress during our wedding day" As i can feel the heat he cause and make my body shivers.

Then i slowly pulls his away and quickly going back to the fitting room. While putting on my original clothes Xavier got everything ready for the payment. Looking at the dress once more, I shed a single tear, but not out of happiness.

Beep.....Beep........

I pulled out my phone on the way back to my house, to see a new message. Clicking on the message confusion started to overcome myself, along with the question who it could be.

"Do not go to the ball tomorrow. please trust me".
