Did you just give yourself a name?

A flash of light sparked and a magic circle began to glow on a traveling port that is located several kilometers from Lotus’s mansion and then suddenly, a silver-haired boy with heterochromatic eyes appeared. He was with a beautiful maid with light brown hair and blue eyes.

“We’re here. We’ve arrived at a traveling port that is a short distance away from the restaurant I told you about.”

“What just happened, wasn’t your friend in front of us.”

The boy widened his eyes in astonishment. He was shocked by the sudden disappearance of Acencia.

“She did not disappear, we did.”

Elaine replied with a chuckle.

“We did?”

The boy was confused by Elaine’s reply.

“We teleported. Don’t you remember what I said about the travel ports?”

“We teleported. I totally forgot about that.”

“It’s okay, it was your first time after all.”

Elaine gently brushed the boy’s head.

“Um, Elaine. What are you doing?”

“Oh sorry, I just couldn’t resist touching your hair. Let’s go.”

They both left the traveling port and the restaurant was now in view.

“Um Elaine, your friend was upset when we left. Did you do something?”

“What! No, nothing happened. She was just throwing a tantrum like always.”

The boy’s words caught Elaine off guard. She was not expecting him to be concerned by what had happened with her friend.

“Did you pay the fee for using the travel port?”

“Well um…”

Elaine stopped walking before continuing to speak.

“She’ll be fine. I’ll pay her when we return okay.”

Elaine declared with a smile as she turned in the boy’s direction. She had no intention of paying the fee. Because of their similar personalities, Acencia and Elaine bicker at each other over the smallest conflicts they have. Conflicts they intentionally cause.

“You mean it for real?”

“Yes.”

Elaine nodded.

After walking a short distance, they arrived at the restaurant. It was a beautiful restaurant that stood out from the rest of the buildings that were around. The interior was painted in white and the floor was also white. It had a beautiful golden chandelier made of gold and diamonds. The tables and chairs were made primarily out of gold and were highlighted with silver. Every part of the restaurant was a fine work of art with a design fit for royalty. Such was a restaurant constructed for Elaine by her Lady.

They were standing in front of the restaurant and the boy couldn’t help but admire the sight that was in front of him.

“So, is this your favorite restaurant?”

“Yes, yes it is. What do you think?”

Elaine replied with a beautiful smile. It was the third time she ever brought a guest with her when going to eat at her restaurant since Acencia and her sister.

“It’s amazing.”

“You think so? Well, it’s not a surprise that you’d say that considering the fact that it is the most prestigious restaurant in the kingdom. Let’s go in.”

They both walked into the restaurant and the boy could not hide his suspense. As they were entering the restaurant, the staff sensed Elaine’s presence and they immediately halted their activities.

[Good afternoon Miss Elaine and her guest. We humbly welcome your presence.]

They all formally greeted Elaine and the boy.

“Good afternoon. I’m glad to see you’re all doing well. This is my guest; I hope you treat him well.”

Elaine’s usual playful tone vanished as she spoke with an imposing voice. Her smile was nowhere to be found.

“My lady, please come this way.”

A beautiful woman with pale blue hair and golden eyes politely showed them the way to a table at the back. The table was different from the rest. The customers in the restaurant all stopped eating and took their time to witness the spectacle that was happening in front of them.

The customers were made up of wealthy people. Nobles, members of the royal family, and some important individuals from other countries. They couldn’t help but be awed by what they were seeing. For the first time in their lives, they got a chance to be up close to an individual with silver hair and differently colored eyes. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he was a high-ranking vampire considering the treatment he was getting from the most prestigious restaurant in the world’s largest kingdom.

They were also shocked by the woman who was wearing a maid’s uniform. She was treating the staff as if they were her servants. Normally, members of royalty and nobility would look down on individuals who are of a lower rank however, the pair in front of them had sparked a fear in their hearts that froze them in place. They were all in a daze, unable to even blink.

Elaine and the boy walked gracefully to the table that was assigned to them. It was the only table in the VIP section. After they were both seated, the restaurant staff resumed their work.

“My lady, please give us a moment. Your meal is being prepared.”

“Okay.”

Elaine lightly nodded before turning her face toward the boy’s direction. She got closer to the boy leaned on the table with her elbow and placed the palm of her hand on her cheek.

“Hey, did you love my acting?”

She whispered to the boy in a quiet voice while having a grin on her face.

“Phew! You had me back there.”

The boy let out a gentle sigh. He was glad to know that the Elaine in front of him was the playful Elaine from before.

“When we entered, your demeanor changed along with the atmosphere. It was as if I was being crushed by the ocean.”

“From what you just said it’s safe to assume my performance was perfect.”

“Yes, you scored a hundred points.”

“Yes, a… hun…dred…”

Elaine paused for a moment and stared at the boy.

“Why are you staring.”

“Fufu! Your speech has improved yet again. How wonderful.”

“Wait really? I feel like nothing has changed though.”

“You won’t notice it yourself. Oh look, food is ready.”

Elaine said so after seeing three staff members approaching their table with food. The food was placed on their table.

“Sir, my Lady, please enjoy your meal.”

The blue-haired lady from earlier muttered in a calm voice before resuming her work.

The boy stretched out his hand, took a piece of food, and ate it.

“Hmmm, it’s so good.”

He could not understand what was happening inside of his mouth but he enjoyed it. His mouth wouldn’t stop watering so he continued.

“Here, try this too.”

“Wait, I can feed myself…”

Before the boy could react, Elaine placed a piece of meat into his mouth.

“Do you like that?”

“Yes, but you don’t need to trouble yourself.”

“I don’t mind.”

Elaine replied with a gentle smile on her face.

“Well I do mind, and besides I can feed myself.”

The boy shyly turned his face away.

“Fufu. You know I find it hard to believe that you’ve changed so much in such a short span of time. It’s no wonder why my Lady took an interest in you.”

“What do you mean?”

“Oh, it’s nothing.”

Elaine replied while shrugging her shoulders.

“I have a surprise for you.”

“What kind of a surprise.”

The boy said with a confused look on his face.

“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you. I’ll show you when we’re done here.”

After they were both done with their meal, Elaine and the boy left the restaurant. They returned to the traveling port where they were now transported to a new location. It was a crowded place with lots of shops.

After walking for a few minutes, Elaine and the boy realized that they were the center of attention. The kingdom was home to people belonging to different races: Humans, elves, demi humans, and demons. They were used to seeing people with horns or with beast-like features but none of them had seen a person with silver hair and heterochromatic eyes.

“Um Elaine, do you have an idea on why we’re being stared at?”

The boy whispered in a quiet voice.

“They are staring at me of course. Who wouldn’t want to catch a glimpse of a rare beauty like myself?”

Elaine spoke boastfully with her chest puffed up.

“Huh? They are probably staring at this weird maid next to me.”

“Weird maid? Where is it?”

“Fufuhahaha.”

The boy let out a giggle. It was as if he had forgotten about everyone around.

“Hey don’t make fun of me. Well anyway, it would be great if I could address you by a name. Don’t you think?”

“…”

Elaine turned to look at the boy as she was expecting an answer from him. She was dumbfounded by the expressionless look on his face. It was as if he was staring at something far away.

“You know it’s rude to ignore others when they are talking.”

Elaine scowled at the boy thinking he was ignoring her. Little did she know that was not the case.

“Hey, why won’t you talk to me?”

The boy stopped walking before looking up.

“Bel…Belousqueria.”

“What did you say? Belousqueria.”

“…”

The boy remained silent. He then turned his face towards Elaine.

“What’s wrong Elaine? What’s with that look on your face?

The boy spoke in a calm tone.

“So now you decide to talk to me. And what is Belousqueria?”

“Huh? Belousqueria.”

The boy tilted his head in confusion.

“That’s my name.”

“Wha-wait. what do you mean your name? Didn’t you say you don’t remember?”

Elaine stammered as she was not expecting what the boy had just said. It was only natural that she would react that way to the boy’s reply.

“I did say that.”

The boy said so after placing his right hand below his chin. He looked like he was trying to remember something.

“I don’t know what I was thinking but what I know now is that Belousqueria is my name.”

“Weird. Wait did you just name yourself?”

Elaine gave the boy a suspicious glare.

“I don’t know.”

“Huh! What do you mean you don’t know?”

“Whenever I think of my name the name Belousqueria comes up. It somehow feels like it has always been my name.”

Belousqueria muttered while staring at the palm of his hand

“The way you’re constantly changing is creepy.”

Elaine complained in a voice that sounded like that of a tired person.

“Hey, who are you calling creepy.”

Belousqueria glared at Elaine.

“I’m not saying you’re creepy. You’re just weird.”

“You know that doesn’t help.”

Belousqueria let out an exasperated sigh.

“I guess I’ll call you Belousqueria from now on. What a weird name.”

“I’d appreciate it if you stopped calling me weird.”

“Okay, fine I’ll stop. Well anyway, we’re here.”

Elaine declared in a joyful tone.

Elaine and Belousqueria had finally made it to their destination. They were now a short distance away from a clothing shop.
