Chapter 4: The Rising of Dark World

Today is fun. Finally Virgo can spend his time getting to know Virgus, who has always thought Virgus is a cold and cruel person. Apparently he is a very caring person.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" Virgo asked breaking the silence.

"I was. Just for a week."

"That's- too short." Virgus only grimaced to response to Virgo's words.

Virgo is still faithfully carried the bead sling bag that Virgus gave. He didn't know on what basis Virgus was willing to give his favorite stuffs that were couldn't being touched by anyone. Virgo just feels something will happen.

They walked through the park to get to the manor. Nobody talks. The cold is too piercing. Their thick jackets couldn't even withstand the cold.

"...I won't!"

"𝘊𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘰!!"

Virgus's hand stopped when he was about to turn the knob. He put his index finger on his lips, hinting at Virgo to remain being silent.

"Close your eyes, Virgo." Virgus whispered.

Virgus pulled his hand. I wonder where they will go. Virgus continued to whisper to keep his eyes closed. He even felt Virgus's hand trying to lift his body.

"Open your eyes." He whispered again after they could enter Virgo's room.

"Whatever will be, we will never want to join you!"

The sound of screaming, beating and laughing all together, filled the whole Malfoy Manor. Virgo who didn't know what was happening, chose to come out of his room to see the condition and ignore Virgus who seemed try to find hiding place for both.

"Virgo! Comeback!" He whispered, half-screamed.

Virgo peered from the second floor. Seeing the scenes that he shouldn't see. Scorpius with his bleeding head and Brianna who keep convulsions as if she dying. They kept hitting Scorpius and Brianna's head.

"𝘊𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘰!"

"NO! PLEASE!"

The Unforgivable Curses made Brianna scream loudly. All her veins protrude on her white skin. Scorpius only could be cry at Brianna's unconscious condition. Virgo tried to be invisible. But unfortunately, his yellow eyes that oftenly light up when he smells a sweet scent for him attract the attention of the masked man.

"Is that your son, Scorpius?" He asked as he opened his mask. Showing his trademark slanting smile towards Virgo.

"Mr. Lucius, please! Don't my sons! Alright, we will join you. But, please don't touch my sons!" Scorpius shouted weakly with his body half-spasm.

"It's too late. You are dying, so you are useless now. Kill their parents."

A hand pulled him back into the room. Virgus had also been watching the scene behind Virgo too. His body was limp, he just scavenged for something from the sling bag that was still attached to Virgo's body.

"Avada kedavra!"

The scream echoed. For a moment the situation became silent. Virgus, with a robe in his hand involuntarily dripping drops of water in his eyes. His body suddenly petrified.

Virgo didn't know what was happening and tried to make Virgus aware.

"Virgo, stay here and hide behind this robe. They can't see you, believe me." His breath roared. Virgus has gone crazy.

"Please, stay here! Don't go anywhere until they leave." Virgus tried to command Virgo to hide in an empty fireplace while wiping away his tears.

Virgus had not been out of the room before, a flash of black smoke pushed his body down. Virgus quickly got up. The black smoke turned into a group of five people with robes and masks covering their identities, except for one.

Lucius Malfoy.

"Look, my handsome great-grandson."

"Shut up, you old man!" Virgus pointed his wand. His breathing is irregular.

"Actually, I don't want to kill my own family. But, unfortunately, your parents betrayed us. So we have to clean them up."

"You were not clean them. You killed them!" The five people laughed.

"Exactly! And where is your little vampire brother?"

Vampire?

Virgo can only look at Virgus's back right in front of him. He still did not understand what was happening.

Virgo can hear Virgus's heartbeats which is racing and the blood flow squeezed by the walls of his own blood vessels. On the other side he heard a calm heartbeat that he believed belonged to Lucius.

"I heard that being bitten by a vampire can make our lives eternal. I never thought that your parents would take care of a vampire here. What a coincidence."

"Stop your nonsense! What do you want?!"

"Your brother. Tell me where is he?"

"I don't know."

"Just tell me or i kill you." Virgus was chuckled softly.

"Better you kill me than i see your ugly ***."

"If it's that's you want, why not? AVADA KEDAVRA!"

Without thinking too long, Lucius threw the unforgivable curse right at Virgus's chest. A tinge of green instantly illuminated Virgo's dark room.

And everything happened so fast, Virgus's sturdy body just fall down in front of Virgo. The men left without regard to the Virgus who already lay down.

Did they just kill Virgus?

"V-virgus?"

Virgo came out from his hiding place when the strange people left, approaching Virgus's rigid body that a few steps away from him. His eyelids even couldn't hold back his tears when he realized if Virgus was really dead in front of him.

"Please, wake up!" Virgo shook Virgus's body.

Virgus doesn't move at all. His eyes were open with a slightly gaping mouth that made Virgo more sob. A red scar on his right eyes is look so huge. He still doesn't believe in all these moment.

"I heard that being bitten by a vampire can make our lives eternal. I never thought that your parents would take care of a vampire here. What a coincidence."

Virgo has never revealed his fangs. Remembering Lucius's voice about him, the hot and uncontrollable thirst returned. Without realizing it, his yellow eyes light up in the dark of the night.

If i was a vampire who could give an eternal life by biting my victim, then let me do it for my family.

Without thinking too long, he bite into Virgus's neck, sucking as much blood as possible hoping what Lucius said was true. However, Virgo stopped the action when he was unable to suck a lot of blood and leave dark red mark on Virgus's neck. He sobbed quietly.

"Virgus?" He called again. His glowing yellow eyes was faded.

But there was no response at all.

Virgo is crying again. He rubbed the bloodstains on his lips with frustration. His efforts were in vain. Nobody can live forever in this world. So everything he heard was just a bullshit.

He ran down the stairs, approaching the stiff bodies of this parents. Their conditions were same as experienced by Virgus.

Scorpius with head full of blood, his eyes still opened with mouth slightly open. Brianna is in the same pathetic condition as Scorpius.

"I'm sorry. Please, wake up ..."

Virgo sobbed while hugging the two rigid bodies tightly.
