Episode 4

Alessandro was in his office when the butler knocked. Upon being granted entry, he announced that the envoy from Duke Blanche had arrived. Alessandro turned to his window to see his guest arrive, but his gaze fixed on the girl who came with him. A faint smile formed on his lips, but he returned his gaze to his documents.

"Have them settled in and tell them I'll see them at dinner."

"Of course, Your Highness. With your permission."

The butler withdrew, while he continued with his work. The butler went out to greet Reynold, who dismounted his horse and introduced himself as Duke Blanche's representative.

"This is Lady Lune Blanche, my lord's daughter," Reynold added.

"A pleasure, Your Highness. Please, come in. A maid will guide you to your room and have a hot bath ready for you. All of you can also bathe and rest. Dinner will be served at eight in the guest dining room," he mentioned to the hunters.

They thanked him for his hospitality, as they really needed a hot bath. With the cold in this place, all they wanted was to warm their bodies. The maid guided Lune to one of the guest rooms, telling her that other maids would come in a moment to prepare the bath and bring her dinner. Lune thanked her, so when the maid left, she didn't hesitate to take off her boots and throw herself on the bed. Finally, a comfortable bed, perhaps not like the one in her room, but better than sleeping bags, although she was aware that she had chosen to travel with the hunters. After all, a quiet life in a mansion, drinking tea and attending parties, was not for her. She preferred adventure, and a little danger was even better.

"I wonder if the saint is from my time..." she wondered.

But when she tried to approach the saint, the prince insinuated that she had bad intentions and immediately moved her away. The bath was prepared, but she didn't let the maids help her.

"His Highness the Archduke requests your presence at dinner in the main dining room," the maid mentioned.

"Of course, I would appreciate it if someone could guide me when the time comes." She didn't want to be late because she got lost.

"Understood. A maid will come to find you at the appointed time."

Lune thanked her and then got into the bath. Later, as she had requested, a maid arrived to guide her to the dining room. Upon entering, Reynold was already present, but Lune directed her gaze towards the man at the other side of the table. He was just as the novel described, an attractive man with a stern look, which was perfected by those light blue eyes and albino hair that perfectly matched his eyes. He was truly a celestial beauty. She quickly curtsied, sometimes forgetting such manners.

"Greetings, Your Highness. My name is Lune Blanche, a pleasure to be able to accompany you tonight."

"A pleasure, Lady Blanche. Please, take a seat," he indicated the seat near him on the left.

Lune went to where she was indicated, and dinner began to be served, while Reynold spoke to him about the business and the contract. Lune, for her part, looked at Alessandro from time to time as he ate. He was a very attractive man, even more so than the prince. In fact, he was better in many other things, not only in his attractiveness, but also in personality and abilities.

"I'm surprised that Lady Blanche is traveling with Captain Reynold. I thought you were engaged to the Prince of Num..."

Lune felt the albino's gaze. He had been watching her for a while, so she just smiled.

"The engagement ended a while ago. He fell in love with the saint, and the temple claims that she should be the next queen."

"I'm sorry to hear that, and I apologize for asking something so delicate," he smiled slightly.

《No, his smile doesn't say he's really sorry.》 Lune thought.

"It doesn't really matter. If I'm honest, the prince isn't my ideal man."

"And what is your ideal? I'm curious."

"I like men with fierce looks and a wild charm." Lune looked the albino in the eyes.

Alessandro smiled briefly, without taking his eyes off Lune's eyes.

"Interesting..."

"And what is your ideal woman, or do you already have one?"

"I don't have anyone. I like women with enigmatic personalities..."

"It seems it will be difficult for you to find someone like that."

"I think I already have..."

Both kept their gaze on each other's eyes, while Reynold just watched and would swear they were flirting. At the end of dinner and leaving the dining room, Reynold sighed. The atmosphere in that place was somewhat tense for him.

"Did you two know each other already? I don't think your father would like you flirting with his business partner."

Lune couldn't help but laugh at Reynold's comment.

"I think he would prefer him to the silly prince," she smiled mockingly.

Lune went ahead, wanting to explore the place. As she walked, she could see the maids and butlers coming and going, assuming that everyone must be busy, especially with having guests in the mansion. She walked through the back hallway. The garden was covered in snow, with only a few pine trees here and there, although it wasn't bad, the landscape was nice. She walked through the snow, although her boots sank a bit, so she used magic to move on the snow.

"Wait, my lady, you can't go beyond this garden, it would be dangerous," a maid warned her.

"Oh! Right..."

Lune returned and thanked the maid, asking if she could guide her, to which the maid agreed, so it would be easier for Lune and she wouldn't get lost.
