EPISODE NINE: THE CUE IS HER MATE.

Laurel got bit nervous. She hadn't noticed that someone was behind.

' Oh God! What did this thing hear? And why is she looking at me like that? ', Laurel thought in disgust.

" What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be cleaning or something? What go get paid to do? I'm sure it's not to be wondering aimlessly like a dog around the mansion. ", she spoke with mockery as an her lips curled up into an evil smile.

Lia who was been disgraced at the moment only said.

" I just arrived here. And I was going to prepare for our leave tomorrow...

" Shut it! I don't want to hear it. You breath is as digusting as your looks and your future. ", she giggled. " You irk. " she leaned forward to whisper.

Lia inhaled her clothes deeply. She didn't stink, but she didn't want to say anything about Laurel's comment. After all she was used to been treated like this since she was Laurel's maid.

After pulling back she said. " Hurry back. I need you to clean my room again. ", she turned around to leave but remembered something. " I'll also be needing a foot massage after my hot bath. "

" Yes Milady. I'll be back right away. ", before she could complete her sentence Laurel turned around and left into her room, slamming the door in Lia's face.

Maximus dashed though the heavy rain with his drenched body. He was move at fast as he could to get to Mr. Leander's house. Maximus didn't have the teleportation ability so he could only at vampire speed. Maximus swifty dodghed the trees in the woods and finally he may his way to the doctor's house.

Without hesitation, Maximus rapidly bumped at the door.

" Mr. Leander! Mr. Leander open up! Astrid has fainted again! ", Maximus shouted until a confused Mr. Leander opened the door.

" Stop shouting. My wife's sleeping. Do you want to wake her up? ", he sounded irritated.

Sarnia, Mr. Leander's wife had been having trouble sleeping lately. Probably because of her pregnancy.

" Didn't you hear? Astrid's fainted. ", Maximus walked in and Mr. Leander closed the door.

" Dry yourself up. Don't get the floor wet. ", Mr. Leander handed him a towel.

Mr. Leander walked into his office with Maximus who had dry himself up a little.

" How long has it been since she fainted? ", he asked in a calm manner.

" Thirty minutes, an hour....I don't.... I'm not sure. ", Maximus look confused.

" Boy if you don't know how long it has been how do you expect me to know what to do. ", Mr. Leander was getting impatient.

" It's been an hour. ", Maximus said.

" Are you sure...

" Yes! ", Maximus cut him off as he nodded. " Yes I'm sure. "

Mr. Leander stared at him for a bit, then he turned and said while searching through some posion in large glass bottle arranged a the selves.

" Astrid isn't normal, and that, we all know. But what confuses me is, how a mixed blood off her kind can easily loss her memory. "

" What do you mean by mixed... blood? ", asked Maximus in pure confusion.

Mr. Leander ignored his question.

" Aha. I found it. ", he held up a ting glass bottle filled with a plain colourless liquid.

" What's that? You are looking for water when there's a serious crisis on our hands. ", Maximus shouted.

" This is not water. Use your brain. I mean what is left of it. ", Mr. Leander smiled sarcastically.

" Hehe! ", a little laughter come from behind.

They turned to seeSagira, Mr. Leander's daughter. She held her teddy bear, while she stood at the door frame in her white pajamas.

" Daddy said you don't have a brain. ", she giggled showing her two front missing teeth.

" Aren't you supposed to be sleeping? ", Mr. Leander asked as he knelt down before her and caressed her night black hair.

" Sorry. I couldn't sleep. ", she lowered her head. " Carrot tried to keep me company but I couldn't sleep. ", she lifted up her bear and showed it to her father.

" Why don't you and Carrot go sleep by mummy. ", Mr. Leander suggested.

" Take me there. ", Sagira said.

" No. "

" Yes. "

" No. "

They glared in to each other's eyes and finally Sagira.

" Yes, Daddy. "

" Fine. Let's go. ", Mr. Leander gave in.

When they got to the room he laid her down beside, Sarnia and was about to leave when Sagira said.

" What about my good night kiss. Carrot and I can't sleep without it. "

He kissed her on the forehead several times and was about to leave when he was stopped again.

" Daddy! ", she called out to him.

" What is it Bunny Bear? ", he questioned his daughter.

" Carrot wants one too. "

Sagira gave her cute puppy eyes. Her eyes were large with innocence and cuteness with a little bit of stubbornness. This was the reason why he called her, Bunny Bear

He kissed Carrot then kissed his wife who was peaceful sleep at the side.

" Sleep well love. ", he said and went downstairs to meet Maximus.

" What kept you so long? Weren't you just putting her to bed? We're running out of time. ", said Maximus.

" When you have your own family and a stubborn daughter like mine you will understand. ", he remarked.

After saying this Mr. Leander opened a portal with this magical ability and they both entered.

Few minutes later after they had left, someone come downstairs. It was Sagira.

" Oh no. Daddy's gone. Now who's going to read us a bed time story. ", Sagira asked Carrot, her teddy bear.
