Episode 4: Rivals

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY ARE FAKE?!” - Sophie was furious.

Today she woke up full of hopes and happy thoughts.

\~Finally I have got everything to know who I am and who killed my family!\~-she thought.

And then Lora broke into her office and said that all the documents were fake.

“I checked all the signatures and protection signs, I’m pretty sure that they are forged,”- said Lora with her head down.

Sophie sat in her chair.

\~How could I let this happen? I miscalculated! Jaden really gave me fake documents and I gave him a wrong code for a safe!\~-this though made Sophie feel a little bit better.

“It seems that we both made a same mistake,”- said Sophie to Lora. “But l haven’t got time today to handle this.”

Today Sophie was supposed to meet with her partners and solve some of the company's affairs.

S Corporation was crowded. Hundreds of people ran across the floors and shouted something on the go. Today was the big day. The company's business partners were supposed to arrive soon.

“Everything is ready?”- asked Sophie.

“Yes, I think everything will be great!”- said Lora.

“I hope so.”- said Sophie and hurried to her office.

She walked in and sat in her place at the table. Sophie turned around slowly and immediately saw her enemy sitting right opposite her at the other end of the table.

\~****! He is also here!\~-though Sophie.

She hesitated for a second. Suddenly, her face became calm and she said : “Well, since everyone is here, let’s start the meeting.”

Sophie was an absolute leader. Everywhere and every time. People followed her and believed her, just like they followed and believed Jaden. Sophie understood that it wasn’t just an ordinary meeting. It was a battle between her and Spencer.

“As you know our companies are the largest and most important on the whole continent. We always were rivals, of course. Until that day. Today we are here to discuss our partnership,”- said Sophie as she was looking around everyone present.

“And why do we need to cooperate with your company?”- said someone from the other side of the table. Sophie knew he was from Boss J’s company.

She grinned and said: “Times change, we change too. We are all not the same as we were back then. Today we have common enemies and common problems, so we have to cooperate to survive. Only a fool will cling to the past, thereby preventing the wonderful future that awaits us from happening,”- said Boss S.

\~She amazes me every time! Such firm determination and confidence in her words! It seems like she completely calm with the situation\~,- though Jaden and looked at Sophie with a smile.

Pink-haired noticed it but didn’t say anything. She was quiet for a minute, giving people some time to think about what she said.

“And now let’s talk about our problems. I want to remind you of our concurrent, “Lin corporation”. It’s a new company with a strong leader Lin Channing. They are only half a year in the business, but have already achieved great success. Their company’s budget and ours companies budgets are almost the same. On this meeting we need to decide, how to increase budget of our companies”,- she said and then hastily added: “Preferably, by legal means”.

Everyone started to offer their ideas. Sophie listened carefully, but each idea was bad. She sighed: “Anyone else?”

Suddenly, Jaden raised from his chair. “I want to say something, if you allow.”

Sophie was surprised. “Please, go on Mr Spencer.”

“Thank you,”- started Boss J: “I think, that we need to buy some shares. If we plan well and buy the right shares, then by the end of the year the shares will rise in value and raise our budget.” Jaden sat back in his chair and leaned back in it.

“That’s actually... A great idea!”- said Sophie: “Now we only have to decide which company’s shares we need to buy.”

She looked around all the people, and saw that everyone was exhausted. “Well, now let’s take a break for lunch”,- said Sophie.

“We will continue after.”
