It seems I have quite the capricious daughter," the emperor states with a serene gaze.
"Well, I suppose she inherited it from someone, right?"
"You're correct, she's the spitting image of your mother. Alright, I'll allow her to keep him."
Leon, observing how the emperor and Eliza exchange looks akin to a lion regarding a tiger, ponders silently, "She's more like you." Could the kinship of father and daughter be more evident?
"Fine, the heir of the grand duchy will be taken under the imperial family's wing. I plan to pay a visit to that bastard tonight, so by tomorrow, have someone ready to manage the grand duchy until Christopher comes of age to inherit the title and assume control," Eliza says, quite seriously.
"I suppose that's a matter I'll have to attend to personally. Well, tomorrow I will convene the elder's council to select a new administrator for the grand duchy... In exchange, I shall accompany you on your visit."
"That's fine, but I will handle everything," Eliza calmly replies.
"I want to go too!" interjects Leon.
"There's no issue with that," Eliza concedes.
"Yes!" Leon exclaims joyfully, standing up.
"I guess that concludes our meeting. You'll stay at Leon's palace while yours is being renovated. Leon, take care of everything."
The emperor stands, ready to depart.
"As you wish, father," Leon says, bowing, and the emperor leaves, exiting the company of Eliza and Leon.
Eliza sighs as the emperor exits, settling back into her chair.
"Come on, Eli. I'll show you my palace where you'll stay while yours is being prepared!"
Leon's enthusiasm is palpable as he leads Eliza, showing her every corner of his magnificent and lavish palace, befitting a crown prince.
They then spend the afternoon drinking tea in the palace gardens, with Leon bombarding Eliza with questions, eager to know more about her, to the point of slightly overwhelming her.
His excitement for the return of his little sister is unmistakable.
As night falls, following an opulent and extravagant dinner with the emperor and Leon, Eliza retreats to her room to prepare for their outing.
Once ready, Eliza steps out onto her balcony, where the emperor and Leon await, clad in hooded robes like her own.
"It's time to depart," the emperor says, lifting Eliza into his arms, a gesture that slightly surprises her, though she does not resist, familiar with their mode of travel to the grand duchy.
Eliza nods, and the emperor soars into the sky with her, quickly followed by Leon, who rides a massive magical sword.
In minutes, they arrive at the grand duchy's mansion, touching down in the back courtyard.
"Can you form a barrier? No one aside from Marko leaves this place alive," Eliza inquires, gazing at the emperor.
With a snap of his fingers, the emperor conjures a transparent dome-like barrier, encapsulating the mansion and all within it.
"It's done. We'll wait out here for you," states the emperor.
Leon nods at Eliza, who reciprocates the gesture.
"This may take some time; I don't intend to grant those scoundrels a swift demise."
"Don't worry, little sister. Call me if you want assistance," Leon offers with a smile.
Assistance will indeed be needed by those miscreants...
With that, Eliza turns her back and strides indoors, conjuring two silencer-equipped pistols.
The emperor and Leon simply stand by, observing.
"Those are very odd weapons, I've never seen anything so efficient and destructive," the emperor remarks.
"She called them firearms, and she can craft them in any form. The scope of her power is truly astonishing. She's only just awakened, but it wouldn't be wrong to say she possesses the same capability as our father, she just lacks training and experience," Leon comments.
"You're right. Like me, she has the ability to create any weapon, with the difference being her power is limited to those strange arms, whereas my power bears no such constraints. Yet, I may have found my limit with the advent of these new weapons... No matter how hard I tried, I could not replicate them."
"She'll be the most powerful among us one day... makes me feel a bit pathetic being the weakest," Leon laments.
"You're not weak, and there's no reason to feel that way. Your power isn't fully realized yet; currently, it's just limited to the creation of swords, but in time, you'll be able to craft any weapon, just like me. I can't lie to you about your sister – she will definitely emerge as the strongest. That's why it's our duty to guide her properly and ensure she's not corrupted by her power..."
"You're right. This time, it's my responsibility to shield him... from all harm and from his own power..."
