the beginning of the end

Suga POV

When the nurses arrived with the food, I decided to give them some time alone. I was really going to go to the cafeteria when I saw V coming.

"Tae ? What are you doing here ?" I asked him.

"I came to convince Jimin to change rooms. What are you doing here hyung ?"

"I came to check on Jimin and Jungkook. Don't make Jimin change rooms." I said, taking one step forward.

"Why ? He mustn't stay with Jungkook, he'll end up even more hurt if he stays with him." he replied, also taking one step forward. I grabbed his arm.

"You don't know what's best for Jimin nor for Jungkook. Now, back off. You created the problem, you can't resolve it. I'll take care of them. Go." I growled.

He seemed angry and hurt but he left anyway. He's seriously beginning to get on my nerves. I love him and all but he is convinced that he know what's best for Jimin when in fact he doesn't. He keeps making mistakes and that draws Jimin and Jungkook away. So I went to the cafeteria to grab a sandwich and on my way back to the room, I saw that V had come back with J-Hope. I was going to shout at them when I saw that they wanted to open the door but couldn't. When I reached them, they looked at me.

"What's happening ?" I asked.

"The door isn't happening. It's locked from the inside. What's happening ? What do we do ?" said V, panicked.

On the door, there is a window so we can see the inside without entering. But htis time, the blind was pulled down so we couldn't see anything.

"I don't hear anything. No screaming, no crying so they must be fine. And we already witnessed what happened yesterday so I'm sure they are fine." I said, pulling them to the cafeteria.

Jungkook POV

"I'm sorry hyung, but I had to lock the door. I don't want anyone to enter and disturb us." I said to Jimin, going back to my bed. He just nodded in response and resumed on eating. I wanted to eat as well but couldn't because something had suddenly popped in my mind.

"You found my diary." I blurted out.

"Y-yeah..." he answered lightly.

"And you read it."

"Y-yeah."

"How did you find it ?"

"The night of the accident, as I was lying in our bed, I saw something sparkling under your armoire so I stood up and it turned out it was your diary. I didn't want to read it but I was so curious. I read the first pages and it became addicting. I couldn't stop anymore. And since I couldn't hold you at night, I read it and dreamed of you while hugging your diary every night. It felt like you were with me so it was comforting. But these last weeks, I haven't opened it at all. I was cared that I'd begin to live in the memories and that you really won't wake up." he honestly answered.

"Hyung... could you... kiss me ?" I whispered the last part.

"What did you say ?"

"N-nothing... Keep on eating." I mumbled. He stood up and came to me, sat at my side and looked in my eyes.

"Repeat. Now." I understood that he had heard what I said but wanted to hear it again, better this time.

"Could you please kiss me ?" I asked locking eyes with him.

He immediatly attached his lips to mine, kissing me intensely, like he was kissing me for the first and last time. I returned it with as much passion and my right hand naturally went to his lower back, pushing him against me. His left hand (the uninjured one) went to my nape and I tilted my head while parting my lips. It ripped my heart to know that he was kissing me with that kind of thougth in mind. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks and a salty taste in my mouth at the same time. Jimin was crying too. I pulled out slowly and he wanted to claim my lips again but I stopped him.

"I made you cry so much. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I hate seeing you cry." I said, sniffling a bit.

"It's okay. Everytime I cry, I feel my love for you becoming stronger. So don't be sorry. I feel like you apologize for making me love you. It's weird." he said, still crying but giggling at the end. I wanted to hug him but couldn't because I kind of rejected him seconds ago and I didn't want to confuse him -not myself- more. He must have sensed that and he hugged me lightly for 10 seconds. I could feel his heart beating like crazy. I loved him so unbelievably much. He pulled out and I held out my hand to touch his injured cheek. He winced at my touch but soon relaxed. I traced the wound with my fingers slowly.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Your beautiful face..." He grabbed my hand and took it away from his cheek, squeezing it.

"Don't worry. They won't be any scar. It must be a big wound but it only brushed my skin." he said, smiling. I sighed and he went back to his bed. We ate in silence until we heard the door being unlocked and the doctor came in.

"It isn't appropriate to lock the door young men. If something happens, how would we do ? I hope it won't happen again, at least when it's only the two of you."

"We are sorry. We just wanted some calm without any disturbance." said Jimin.

"I understand your situation and I hope that it will all get better." said the doctor, smiling.

"Thank you" I replied and he exited the room. Two nurses entered, took our empty trays of food and went back. A bit after, V hyung entered and went straight to Jimin, purposely ignoring me. Yoongi hyung entered, rolling his eyes in exasperation at V hyung's childish act. I laughed at this.

"Jimin-ah ! How are you ? Oh my gosh, you have a wound ! Does it hurt ?" exclaimed V hyung, overreacting just to point out that he doesn't care about me even a little bit.

"Tae, I'm alright. Would you please calm down ?" said Jimin, making himself comfortable in his bed.

Yoongi hyung sighed heavily and looked at me.

"So, Kookie. Are you ready to talk ?" he asked me. I looked at Jimin then back at Yoongi hyung.

"Yes hyung. Let's talk." I said, standing up. He grabbed my  arlm and led me to the corridor.

When we sat down, he immediatly began to talk.

"Okay, so, before talking about our main topic, would you tell me why you locked yourselves up and what happened ? I can see that you cried. I wanna know why."

"I... just wanted us to be alone. I heard you talking with V so I locked the door in case he would come in to check on Jimin. This night was... amazing. I could sleep next to Jimin after 2 months and I could hear his heart beating, indicating that he knew I was here. His heart was beating like mine. Fast." I stopped a moment, thinking about the kiss we shared. I began feeling hot and Yoongi hyung's voice woke me up.

"Did something happen between you ? You're blushing." he said with mischievous eyes, wiggling his eyebrows. I hit him lightly.

"We kissed. It wasn't a simple kiss. It was a hot and sorrowful one. Our last kiss. How I wish it wasn't..." I said and before I could be caught up in my thoughts, Yoongi hyung caught my hands and smiled warmly at me.

"It wasn't Kookie. You still love each other, it can't be more obvious. You'll be back together, you just need time. But now, let's get to our main topic. How long are you going to play with Jimin ?"

"What play ?"
