Author's POV

Big Hit Entertainment's building. There he is. He thought about it a million times and now he is in front of it. He had dreamed of this moment and now that he found the courage to make it real, he can't enter. Why ? Because he is afraid that he would fail, that he doesn't have enough talent to be accepted and that his father was right. At this thought, he takes a big breath and pull the glass door. He enters and follows the signs indicating "Auditions, this way". 

He stops a moment before entering the room where his dream can come true. He stands there for a second and then pushes the door. It is a big practice room with a big mirror in front of him. He stares at his reflection blankly. He wears a white t-shirt, grey sweatpants and black sneakers. He dressed casual and comfortable. He takes out his phone to check for the umpteenth time that the songs he prepared are there. Suddenly he feels stressed. VERY stressed. They were many boys and girls who came to audition. The one auditioning at that time is very good. He is rapping and has a long face. Jimin is really impressed by his skills (even more because he can't rap).

So he begins the relaxing moves he was taught by his mother. Breathe, slowly, turn your head, up and down, right and left, 10 times.

He begins stretching. He effortlessly touches his toes and then the floor. He does vocalises to warm up his voice and just when he finishes, he hears someone calling his name from the other side of the room.

"Park Jimin ! Is he there ?"

"Yes ! I'm here ! " he says, running to the table where the man who called him is sitting.

"Alright. What are you going to show us ?"

"I'm going to sing then dance, Sir"

"Okay. Are you ready ?"

"Yes."

"You can start"

He pressed the play button and the instrumental version of Taeyang's Only Look At Me was playing loudly in the room. His voice was shaking when he began to sing but his voice was so beautiful that the people who were stretching stopped to look at him. It felt like no one was daring to breathe to not disturb him. When he finished, Taeyang's Wedding Dress began playing. At the first note, Jimin began to move softly and sensually. He was obviously more at ease in dancing than in singing. When he finished, everyone applauded and cheered for him.

The judge stood up and everyone stopped.

"Park Jimin, right ? It was... really good. Your dancing was better than your singing but you have a really clear and pretty voice. That's a very good point" he said smiling.

"Does that mean..." began Jimin.

"You passed. Welcome to Big Hit Entertainment." said the man, holding out his hand for Jimin to take it. He took it, beaming and bowed 4 times continously saying "Kamsahamnida !".

Because he was so happy, he decided to stay and see the following one.

"Jeon Jungkook" called the man.

"Yes"

A boy dressed with a red t-shirt, black sweatpants and white sneakers came out of the little crowd. He seemed really shy, embarrassed.

"What are you going to do ?"

"I'll sing and dance"

"Okay. Go on"

The boy cleared up his throat and pressed play on his cellphone. Then, Zion.T's See Through's instrumental started to play in the practice room. Jungkook began to sing and Jimin was so shocked by his voice that it was like nothing in the world mattered but this boy's voice. Jimin was struck by Jungkook's voice : it was clear and soft, pure and beautiful and he was so immersed in the music, he was enjoying it so much, Jimin was fascinated. When he finished singing, Mike Posner's Save Your Goodbye began playing. When Jungkook started dancing, Jimin could see that he was a great dancer (not as good as himself but a great dancer nonetheless). When the boy's performance was over, everyone applauded and cheered for him too.

The man stood up and said

"What a great performance Jeon Jungkook-ssi. You sing very well and your dancing is great. However, you convey no emotion when you dance and it is very important to express the song's feelings to captivate an audience."

"Did I fail then ?" said Jungkook, looking sad.

"No. You passed, but we'll send you to the US so that you can have dance training. Be ready in two days. Welcome to Big Hit." said the man, smiling lightly.

"Thank you !" said Jungkook with a beam.

He bowed and went to gather his stuffs before going out of the room. When he began walking toward the door, Jimin followed him unknowingly. He took his backpack and when he reached the boy, he said

"Hi"

The boy didn't answer.

"My name is Jimin"

Still no answer.

"Your performance was great you know ?"

The boy stopped walking and looked at him.

"Thank you. Yours was very good too" he said, smiling. This smile gave a strange feeling to Jimin but he brushed it away.

"Thank you" he said, eye-smiling. "I was so nervous, I thought I'd fail"

"You did great" said Jungkook, feeling his body warm up at Jimin's smile. He looked at his cellphone to check the time and suddenly said

"Sorry Jimin, but I have to go. Maybe we'll see each other next time ! Bye !" he said, running in the corridor to get out of the building.

"O-okay ! Bye Jungkook !" Jimin replied seeing Jungkook getting out of the building.

When the latter found himself outside, he was feeling strange. His heart was beating hard against his chest but he knew that it wasn't just because he ran. There was something else. He told himself it was because he would soon go to the USA and he was anticipating it so much... It was that, right ? There couldn't be something else... Especially related to the guy he just met...

Jimin too felt strange. It was the happiness that he was feeling after being accepted in Big Hit, but could happiness make you feel butterflies in your stomach ?
