GUYS, I have corrected the spelling mistakes ( July 8)

Flashback

Arya had gone to get some supplies for gym class that were kept in the cellar when suddenly she heard Chris Samerson's voice calling her from the door. He approached her with a leering expression and abused her. She screamed for her help, but she knew no one would be able to hear her, so as a desperate expedient she dug her nails into him and ran. With her breath caught she locked herself in a bathroom, she took off her blouse and while she cried she washed herself as if so she could get that boy's dirty hands off.She didn't know how she was going to tell her parents because she was too embarrassed to relate something like this even more  when she didn't get along with her father.

It was three months ago when she finally got up the courage to tell them, she had rehearsed the words over and over again to make them sound as unshocking as possible, but the shock turned out just as she imagined. His mother wide-eyed and his father, unsurprisingly, devoid of all emotion that was to be expected but not the fact that he blamed his daughter for being alone. This made no impression on Caleb or his mother, since it was normal for Mr. Cleirstein to blame Arya every time something happened to her. For him coincidences did not exist, since there was always a causal relationship in human actions.

You could tell from the Cleirstein brothers' eyes that they wanted to talk back, but they were afraid their father would hit them again.

Mr. Cleirstein informed his family that he would file a complaint for an investigation to be launched, but Arya's mother suggested that it would be best to take her out of school and enroll her in a new one to which her husband agreed, but anyway he insisted that he would notify the police.

The months following what happened were not easy at all, Arya had to go constantly to testify before the police and psychological therapies to treat her trauma.

She stayed  away from her friends and her ex-boyfriend with whom despite having broken up they had a good relationship. Since they stopped seeing each other, Arya had gone out with a couple of boys on the recommendation of her therapist so that she could learn to lose her fear about men and, although more than one of them had declared herself and she had feelings for them, she had resigned to love afterward.Among other reasons, because she was still traumatized by the fact that  her ex left her after one last attempt to take pills to increase her sexual desire but still he felt that he was not satisfied enough.

End of flashback.

It was a cold fall morning and Arya was walking towards Reinknight 's  looking tired, having not slept all night reviewing for today's test. During the day she had to take care of her little brother  Caleb because her mother who had separated from her father because he knocked down her confidence now lived with her new partner  and they both worked late. Her mother's new partner Matt worked as an assistant in a hardware store and she as an assistant in a supermarket. They didn't earn enough to support the family so they worked overtime, but today Matt had been given the day off.

Suddenly, a guy snatched her backpack and Arya went after him zigzagging between the passers-by until she reached a level crossing. Sweat ran down her forehead and little by little she felt like the air was running out of her lungs. When she was about to catch the arm of the antisocial a man who was distracted looking at his phone pushes her hard, making her fall from the level crossing. Arya closes her eyes expecting the worst, the image of her family flashes through her mind, but a voice makes her wake up and she finds herself in the arms of a handsome man with blond hair and light green eyes, dressed in a brown suit and green tie.

—Are you OK?—he asks in a soft voice.

Arya jumps quickly out of his arms and pulling out her sprayer.

—    Don't worry, I won't hurt you.

—    That's what they all say. If you take a step I'll yell that you're a stalker.

In that, the crowd surrounds Arya asking if she was alright despite the fact that she felt stunned, she ends up answering affirmatively to all the questions with a nod, because she could not utter words of how shocked she was. The passers-by satisfied with her answer end up dispersing and then Arya, who for a moment had forgotten about the young man, looks in all directions and discovers that has dissapeared.

«How could he had had vanish so quickly».

Suddenly, she remembers that she must get to school. She looks at her watch and sees that only has a few minutes left before the doorbell rings, that unbearable sound that reminds her everyday

that the most boring part of her life begins.

Without hesitating for a second she runs for  a moment while thinking  all those people just wanto to prevent her from getting class on time. On more than one occasion, she dropped one of the bags that pedestrians were carrying,

hearing  shouts of protest behind her.

Finally she manages  to get to the school, but  finds that the main door is closed and they won't open it until half a hour by the time when the parents brought the little ones. In that, she

receives a message from Caleb telling her to look up. He moves his lips and Arya knew that he was scolding her for being late again, but to her surprise he gestured to look to the right where the janitor was watering some plants and the only camera that could give away her crime was out of order, since one of the boys damaged it with the soccer ball. She knew Caleb wanted her to slide through the gap between the railing and the floor. It wasn't a bad idea after all she was very good at gymnastics. She looked both ways and crawled under her then entered through a door was on the floor were her classroom was.

The door was ajar and Miss Darben was calling the list of students. Arya quickly typed a message to her friend Lisa asking her to distract the teacher with a question, and was promptly answered in the affirmative. Arya quickly sat in the last row.

The teacher finished counting those present and took out her notebook.

—Let's see, today is Thursday. It's up to Lisa and Arya to clean the room.

Arya thought about telling the teacher that she had therapy today, but Lisa had already covered her the  previous times, so it wasn't fair to leave her alone. She could try to finish soon.

Mrs Darben begins writing advanced equations holding a book in her hand that read differential equations. It was a subject that was normally seen in the university, but the government had recently announced a change in the curricular subjects and schools had to reform their programs.Arya next year would take the admission test for the University and she hoped to get a scholarship, otherwise her parents would have to go into debt and Caleb with his leveling classes because he suffered from dyscalculia, a difficulty understanding mathematical operations, that is what his teacher had said and was already costing them too much.

Normally Arya had no difficulty concentrating, but this time she couldn't help but draw the boy who had saved her.

—    Who is it? asked Lisa, the only friend she had.

Arya tells him what happened.

—    A boy can't  just disappear like that, with all those people it would have been hard for him to slip away.

—    I know, it's strange.

—    I have an idea—Lisa takes a photo of the portrait and uploads it to google—. With this search engine option, it will search for photos that resemble it.

The search engine shows a hundred boys with light blond hair, it seemed impossible to find until one of them caught Arya's eye. He was wearing the same outfit than today.

—    It is him.

—    I knew that the google satellite would never fail. You can photograph anyone outside.

—    But that doesn't tell us anything about how to find it.

A scratch made Arya come back. The teacher was looking at him with an angry tone and tells him to go to the blackboard. She had studied them the day before, but she was about to fall asleep so she went blank halfway through the exercise. She could feel the teacher's disgruntled eyes behind her and was afraid to turn around. Luckily, she was relieved when  the bell rang

—    Arya, I want you to solve that exercise by tomorrow.Have a good day guys.

The teacher's heels echoed as she walked away from the room.

Arya returned to her seat where Lisa was waiting for her holding one of the many lunch tickets that she used to buy for the entire semester and that she had stopped using a few weeks ago due to going on a special diet, since her doctor found her out of sorts weight. They grabbed their backpacks and dodged the crowded corridor toward their lockers. Arya was startled to see Gilbert Blawn, the captain of the basketball team, through the mirror. She had always liked him for being a generous person and he had been the only boy who had defended her on more than one occasion from the hostile comments of her classmates but lately she found him everywhere as if he was following her and more than once Arya had felt his eyes on her.

—    Hi Arya- said-. I was wondering if you would go with me to the spring dance.

Arya wasn't surprised. She had found out  that a week ago he and Christa Sheen, the team's assistant, had broken up and now he was looking for someone to replace her. She didnt had to take care of his brother but lied . However, it did not turn out to  be a success since Gilbert Blawn stressed that the party fell on Saturday night and he knew her parents didn't work that late.

—    I know you try to make excuses— he  smiles — .Because you're afraid of boys, but you owe me for adding your name to last semester's essay or you wouldn't be in AP Biology.

Arya wasn't interested, but what  said was true. She owed him for not being sent to summer school and if there was one thing she hated it was having to owe someone, but that wasn't the only reason she was willing to accept. She had promised her therapist that if someone invited  her to the spring she would go.  After telling him her decision, they agreed that he would pick her up at eight.

—    I can't believe you have accepted! I'm glad you decided to follow Dr. Greyson's advice.

—    Yeah well me neither but anyway-river-.I'll bring the miniature spray gas.

She always wore it hidden in her bra.

—    Tomorrow we can go shopping Lisa said.

—    I've used up the entire allowance for this month.

—    Maybe I can lend you something. I have some dresses from last season.

Lisa adored fashion, in fact, her dream was to open her own haute couture line one day, which is why she had been sending her designs along with her application to all universities across the country. As for her, she had no idea what she intended to do with her life.

They closed the lockers and went to the dining room. This one was packed as always and you could smell the aroma of chips all over the place, so Arya thought this week's menu would once again be chips. As usual, she rushed into line as Lisa saved her a spot at his favorite spot by the window overlooking the campus.

In front of her was Lindsey Folks everyone knew that she was in a relationship with the literature teacher and was speculated that she was pregnant because in recent months she had been seen throwing up in gym class. Lisa, who was always aware of all the news, had commented that she saw less and less things in the teacher's cubicle  so she thought that as soon as she received his

payment he will  resign and they would probably go live together as soon as possible.

She had repeated the last year, some said that she had done it on purpose to be closer to him.

When his turn came, he ordered the food and sat down with Lisa who couldn't take her eyes of Federico, a new boy who had come from Italy on exchange. He had brown skin and brown curls. Lisa had been thinking of asking him to the spring dance, but she had already received many offers and had turned them all down, so she didn't dare. Arya wishes he wanted to go with her friend so she  wouldn't have to go to the dance alone.

Just before lunchtime ended, Arya got a call from Dr. Greyson saying that she had a personal problem and couldn't see her at the agreed time, but she had a free hour at three. That would mean she would have to skip the last class of the day and since she knew it wasn't easy to get an appointment with Dr. Brooks she agreed, but mainly because she wanted to let her know that the panic medication wasn't working and they were coming more and more often. during the nights. Arya hung up the phone.

—Duty calls,

—Go carefully. I heard there are some gangs four blocks from school.

Arya pointed to her bra and grabbed her backpack. She left the dining room and stopped at the secretary's desk to show her excuse book where her mother authorized her to leave early every time she had therapy. Miss Grindge rang the call and gave her a pass. Immediately afterwards, she presented it to the doorman.

Heeding her friend's warnings, she made sure no one was following her and walked quickly until she reached the building where Dr. Greyson Brooks works. The office was on the twelfth floor of a green-glazed skyscraper located in the wealthy suburb of Brandclay, across London Bridge and quite a distance from where she lived.

Although she could have taken the elevator she did not  because since the incident had been afraid of closed spaces and because  hated the friction that occurred with other people. Arya

stopped on landing to catch her breath and resumed walking with tired steps until she rang

the bell. The door opened and Arya went through the waiting room until she reached a room where she was with the door open. Seeing her, the doctor gets up from her to greet her with a hug.

 —Take a sit.

The doctor dragged her chair up to face her.

—How did you do with the exercise I sent you?

—Not very well, my brother tried to act like my attacker, but as soon as his face darkened I scratched him.

—What about memories about the abuse?

—There are no changes.—Has someone invited you to the dance?

Arya told him how their conversation went.

—"Okay, that's progress. Remember that it's normal to feel nervous and I know that sometimes you want to take out the spray, so I want you to not take it this time."

— No way! I feel insecure without him.

—You can't live the rest of your life fearing men, it's time to start trusting people more, not everyone is like that boy. I remember you told me that this Gilbert guy was good to you, so he can't be a bad person.

—No, I'll use the sprayer.

In the bottom of her heart, Arya knew that the doctor was right and she shouldn't believe that all men were like that, but when a boy approached her, her body reacted automatically.

The doctor increased the dose of the medication and taught her some relaxation exercises to avoid panic attacks. They consisted of counting from ten to one repeatedly imagining that the heart rate was decreasing, but Arya had long since begun to realize given up on therapeutic treatments and had even come to think that the professionals wanted their patients to never be cured that way they could charge more money and the way they did it was by saying that things took time, so more session would be required.

The hour passed and Arya said goodbye to Dr. Greyson, promising that she would send her a text the day after the party to tell her how everything had gone. By the time she left the sun was setting in the west and illuminating the waters of the River Thames. That was her favorite time.

As if it were fate, she inadvertently ended up on the same sidewalk where that boy had saved her remembering his touch made her tremble so she shook her head abruptly to drive away that thought.

The first stars were high in the sky when she got  home and found  Michael cooking dinner.

—Hello, Ary, how was the consultation?

— Well, you know how to talk and that everything takes time blah blah, do I really have to keep going? There is no progress.—The doctor said it could take at least a year. We will wait and see what happens.

—  NO! I'm tired of trying new medications, I think they've bought me all the ones on the market and techniques that don't work. My seizures have not subsided since I started going to therapy.

—I'll talk to your mother. Now go to tell Caleb that dinner is ready.

Arya angrily runs up the stairs to her brother's room and yells for him to hear through his headphones. He can't hear. Arya disconnects the headphones while her brother plays League of Kingdoms.

—Hey! I was giving  the Blue Spears an order.

—Your team can wait, dinner is ready.

Caleb storms out of the room, something he does every time he's angry, and Arya trails after him. The smell of pizza reaches her before  enters the kitchen. Michael is a born chef, more than once Arya had told him that he had  to start hisown restaurant.

—How  are the Spanish classes Caleb? Michael asks.

—Not very good, I got a five on the last test.

Michael sighs.

—You are very smart, you could have gotten a 10 if you didn't play so much. You should learn from Arya—Arya is boring, she only goes out with her friends once a month, I wonder what she will do when she enters university and has to live with boys, she doesn't even know about sex. They'll think she's a nun or something.

—Enough Caleb!—yells michael—.Apologize to Arya.—I'm sorry.

After finishing dinner Caleb is left washing the dishes as punishment and Michael asks Arya to come with him to the living room.

—Arya, I know your brother was hard on you, but he's right about something. You need to educate yourself on sexual issues, even if reminds you of that episode.

—I don't understand why you give it so much importance. It's enough to know that I can get pregnant and since I don't date guys it's not like you should get worried.

—Not only that, you can catch diseases. The truth is, there is a lot to say about it and it is uncomfortable for me to talk about this with a daughter, so your mother compiled this information for you and wants you to read it.

— It's a joke? You are my parents.

—Your mother works until dawn and like I said, I'm not able to talk about this. If you have doubts you can always use google.

Arya stands up in a rage.

—I'm not interested in any of this! Mark was clean, I got checked and I am not planning to date anyone so.—Arya, calm down. There is something important I must tell you. We have arranged an appointment with the eldest son of the Thomsons so that you learn to be with boys.

— Before I jump into the River Thames. Stop trying to help me, I'm tired of wanting to overcome my fears.

Arya starts for the door, but stops when she hears Michael's voice.

—The appointment is tomorrow at two in front of the Big Ben.

The living room door closes behind Arya and she goes up the stairs to her room. She falls on her bed in tears.Arya receives a call from Claire, one of her old school friends. She is in a relationship with Arya's ex-boyfriend after she left her for not being able to have sex with him after being abused. Deep down in her heart she didn't hold a grudge against him for what he  did. After so many unsuccessful treatments it was understandable that a man would get bored with a girl without desire. Over time, Arya stopped believing in love and in herself.

Arya answers the call.

—    Hello,  so long without hearing from you, how is everything going?

—    Not very well, the treatments are not working.

—    I am sorry to hear that. I ran into your mother the other day at the supermarket and she told me that you've been more depressed than usual so I thought I'd invite you to a new karaoke they've opened in town that will surely make you feel better.

—    I'm sorry, but I have to concentrate on final exams.

—    But Ary, they start in a week, sure you can take a day off to talk to your best friend right?

—    Alright.

—    Great, I'll see you in front of the Rock and Stone at 4. Kisses.

Arya ends the call and begins studying for her math test until she falls asleep on her desk.
