"I apologize father." I already know but I can't say anything back or else I'd get beaten again. "It isn't a wrong answer, though the fact that you thought of a it as a right one before changing it is a mistake in it of itself." He walks closer to me, raising his hand and slapping me right after. I grunt out in pain before getting more slaps. I was getting slapped till I felt my cheeks were burning, it probably looked like it was too.
"Get out of my sight." He ordered me to which I responded by simply following orders and walking towards my room, bag in hand to study more. I frown after closing the door to my room, I felt numb yet I felt terrible. I wanted to feel something, anything. Tears well up though there were no emotion behind it. I sit back, letting the tears all fall out till my eyes go dry.
After a few minutes I felt depressed, though it was better than feeling nothing. I stood up, walking to the study table to take a book about a certain person, Oliver Adrien Wright, a child prodigy 4 years my senior and a contestant who always places either 2nd or 3rd, someone who'll never get first but is happy either way, a genuine guy I admire....
