I Landed In The Parallel Universe To Look For The Other Me

I met you again

While walking alongside him I realized he's quite different then the Adry I knew ...

He always walked like I'm not with him , he'd always leave me behind ...

But this Adry is caring, he's always walking behind me , trying to protect me from the crowd like I'm a little kid (⁠~⁠_⁠~⁠;⁠)

Even now I firmly believe I'm ill ...

I don't know what it is but I believe I am mentally unwell or maybe I'm in deep dream ... I think I should try pinching myself, *pinches*

No it's not a dream ʘ⁠‿⁠ʘ

It hurts and it's happening somehow...

Then maybe I'm in coma ig that's why I'm seeing him ...

It must be the work of my subconscious mind that I'm seeing him the way I wanted him to care for me ...

maybe I should try closing my eyes...

Just when I covered my eyes with my hands , I felt that he suddenly held me from behind and replied "Are you ok? Why are you walking like that?"

I moved away and replied " Yep I'm good . no worries! I just have this weird habit of talking to myself in my head while walking, hahahahaha "

He hesitantly said " oh .. Yes you said you are not from here ... You are from another universe...

Though I find it a little hard to believe but I know you won't lie to me"

I looked away trying to process his politeness...

and to make the atmosphere lighter I replied

" So how am I? I mean not me "me" ... The other me ...

I mean how's she ? Ok wait , nevermind... I'm not talking any sense!"

He let out a soft chuckle and answered

"It's ok. I got you. The person you are referring to in this world is very different from you ... other than the face you both are poles apart ... she has a sober and serious personality... And her lacks the thing called sense of humor...."

Listening the sense of humor part I started laughing hard, cause I know very well that the thing he's calling humor is my clumsiness...

Wiping my eyes I looked at him and realized he's staring at me with utmost disbelief, that he can't believe his eyes... I snapped and asked " is there something on my face ?" he replied

"oh... No... No no ... Sorry.... I didn't realize.... I'm sorry...."

I said "No worries .... It's fine... but why were you looking at me like that?"

He replied " it's a little silly... But you never smiled like this before....I mean the other you .."

I could see that he's smiling but he's nervous...

I asked, " tell me about her ... I have to find her in order to go back and I guess you are also looking for her everywhere "

He replied," what do you want to know?"

I said," I don't think I have to know anything new ...

Lifestyle and other things might be same ...

You tried to look for her in the med school?

She could be in a research program or on a field trip...." he suddenly cut my words and said

why'd she go there !? She's in an engineering institute!"
