Lin Xue felt a surge of hope as he touched her. She felt his warmth and his strength. She felt his love and his sincerity.

She wanted to go with him, to follow him wherever he went, to be with him forever.

But she also felt a surge of fear as he held her. She feared that Wang Hao would see them, that he would punish them, that he would kill them.

She pushed him away and screamed.
