Aozora approached the desk that would soon serve as her workstation. Her eyes instantly glittered with suppressed tears as she beheld a framed photograph of Dimas with Tsania. Her heart felt as if it was being torn apart, not from jealousy, but from a profound sense of deception that had been played on her for so long.
"When exactly did the two of you start this deception behind my back? I had no idea you were the cousin of the owner of a major company in this country. You hid everything. Both of you are completely despicable! How could I have been so blind as to love a freak like you, Dimas, you bastard!" Aozora cursed, flinging the framed photo into the trash can.
She then started to sort through folders she knew contained documents about the company. She planned to study them, waiting for a young man named Niko to return.
"Darling, give me some money, I want to go shopping!"
Just as Aozora settled into the chair now hers, someone barged in without even knocking.
"Aozora? Why are you here?" it turned out to be Tsania, her sister and the woman who had taken everything from her – her father's love, her fiance, and even her deceased mother's company.
"What are you doing here? You just walk in too. You really have no manners. No wonder though, the woman who gave birth to you lacked manners too, so naturally, her daughter would be the same," Aozora spoke gently, but her words were laced with biting sarcasm.
"Watch your mouth! Where is Dimas? Or are you here to seduce him, hoping he'll come back to you? Dream on!" Tsania looked down at Aozora disdainfully.
Aozora smirked, standing up from her seat and stepping closer to one of the women she now loathed.
"Why would I seduce him? I am too high-class for a cheap man like him. Cheap suits cheap, just like you!" Again, Aozora's gentle tone barely concealed the sting in her words.
"Hey, you really are vile, aren't you? Who's cheap? My dowry was expensive, unlike you, who was given away for free. You were married off by dad in payment of a debt, how pathetic!"
Aozora clenched her fists tightly, enraged by the slurs hurled from the mouth of the woman she couldn't bring herself to consider a sister. She wanted to gag the woman who had never merited any fraternal feeling, but restrained herself, feeling that dealing with Tsania required a subtler approach.
"Indeed, I was married to discharge a debt. But make no mistake, I remain a valuable asset. Proof of which is that I’m sitting in this office, holding the CEO position, in place of your trashy fiance!" Aozora walked to the couch, leaned back, and crossed her legs.
"Ha, you think I believe that? Don't kid yourself that you could be CEO of such a big company." Tsania's lip curled into a dismissive sneer.
"I don't need your belief. It makes no difference to me. What matters is that you leave now, because I'm sick of seeing you here. Besides, I have work to do," Aozora pointed towards the door.
"Hey, how dare you throw me out! I won’t go because I am sure your presence here is just to lure Dimas. Now tell me, where have you hidden him? Dimas, come out, Darling!" Tsania roamed around the room, calling out for the man.
Aozora sighed disdainfully, and resumed walking to her chair, choosing to ignore everyone but herself in the room.
She sat back down and booted up her laptop. Aozora gritted her teeth as, upon activation, she was greeted by a nude photograph of Tsania.
"Disgusting!" she cursed.
"Hey! Why are you sitting there! How dare you, that's Dimas's chair!" Tsania burst out angrily.
Aozora clicked her tongue and sighed sharply. "Are you deaf? Haven't I already stated this chair is now mine? Do you think I’m joking? Now leave this room, for I'm nauseated by the sight of your face!" Aozora's gaze sharpened, fueled by the repulsive photo she had just seen.
"I'm not deaf! But I absolutely do not believe it. It’s impossible for you to replace Dimas. Who do you think you are?" Tsania looked at Aozora with scorn.
"Wanna know who I am? Are you stupid or have you lost your memory? Didn't I marry a paralyzed man to pay off a debt? Don't you know that this man owns this company? Your sorry excuse for a father and your cheap mother didn't tell you, did they?"
Tsania's eyes widened in shock, aghast at Aozora's revelation.
"You're lying, aren't you?" Tsania shook her head in denial.
"Sh*t, how did I not realize it? Wasn't it the moment dad mentioned the name Arsenio and asked Aozora to marry? How stupid of me to not care and focus solely on my phone? If I had known, I would have married the man even if he was paralyzed and then secretly transferred ownership of this company to my name. For my biological needs, I could have just covertly been with Dimas," Tsania cursed herself for her short-sightedness.
"Why so quiet? Remembered yet?" Aozora mocked.
"I guess you do remember, so I needn't explain further why I'm here. I am now Mrs. Arsenio, the owner of this company. As for Dimas, he’s just a loser, the son of a businessman whose company failed due to mismanagement. Lucky for him, he’s still my husband’s cousin; otherwise, he'd be out on the streets – and I bet you wouldn’t be bothering with him then," Aozora continued.
"You're despicable! Pure trash!" Tsania spat.
"Oh, trash calling out trash? You are trash, and cheap too. Look here, you even expose your body like this to a man who isn't yet your husband. That’s how cheap you really are. You're just like your mother," Aozora displayed the provocative photo from her laptop.
"Damn it! Why would Dimas set this picture as his wallpaper?" Tsania began to bemoan Dimas's foolishness.
"You are incredibly sneaky, Aozora! You must have requested your in-laws to let you take over the company to bring down Dimas, right? You're truly rotten!" Tsania stared at Aozora with loathing.
"Say whatever you want, I don't care! The truth is, now you can't ask Dimas for substantial amounts of money for your lavish lifestyle. Furthermore, the financials of my mother’s company, which you grabbed, must be shaky, right? Enjoy it while you can, because what's happening now is nothing compared to what will happen in the future," anger turned Aozora's eyes crimson.
