The truth untold (Part 2)

...***FLASHBACK***...

"Finally! I'll be turning fifteen soon!" Jisung couldn't contain his excitement as he lay in his bed, all warm and relaxed, waiting for the clock to hit midnight.

Except, he couldn't see what the time was, unfortunately...

Why, you ask?

Because he was blind.

"Hmm... I wonder what gift my parents are preparing for me... I did overhear my mom talking about getting me something very unexpected, but I still don't know what it is!" Being bored in his room alone, Jisung began conversing with himself.

He had always been quite a joyous boy, despite his inability to see. He may not have seen anyone's faces, but he could still see through that the people he was encompassed with had a good heart. Not everyone had it.

Slowly, as the night proceeded even further, Jisung found himself unable to sleep due to the sheer excitement he had for his birthday. He had always been this enthusiastic over festivals and other celebrations.

However, he would've never known that this would be the last time he would ever be the same innocent person, because the very next moment, the evil walked into his life.

Jisung unexpectedly felt a change in the atmosphere, despite hearing nothing dubious. He couldn't pinpoint the transition in his surroundings, but he could sense it deep in his bones.

He was feeling warm and comfy, wrapped up in his comforter, but now that he noticed that his surroundings had started to alter, he suddenly felt cold. Furthermore, he was in his bed still, enveloped nicely in his blanket, but he still felt like he was gonna freeze to death.

"Wh-what's happening?! Why does it feel so cold?! Mom! Dad!" Jisung began to call out their names as he tried to remove the comforter off him.

But this time, he couldn't.

Neither could he remove the comforter off him because it seemed oddly heavy to him, causing him to not even sit on his bed, nor did his parents respond to his words.

Jisung felt trapped in his own bed, and he couldn't even catch sight of what was happening around him because of his blindness.

"Ugh! Get this blanket off me! Someone, please help!" Jisung cried out multiple pleas but none of them were answered.

"Shh...calm down, Han Jisung. Don't move too much or there will be dire consequences," Jisung heard a voice say to him.

The fifteen-year-old boy was shocked. Neither had he ever heard this voice before in his lifetime nor could he figure out how this person learned his name.

The voice was so deep as if it was Satan himself speaking to him. He was beyond terrified of what was coming to him next.

Rivers of tears had been streaming down his face as he began crying. He was sharp to realize that he had been kidnapped...while he was in his bed somehow.

"Wh-Who are you? And what are you gonna do to me? P-Please don't hurt me, " Jisung had no alternative but to hush himself down as he forced these words out of his throat.

The person suddenly started to laugh, his deep voice scaring Jisung further, but there was nothing the poor boy could do. First thing, he was blind, and second thing, his blanket seemed to have been under an enchantment that caused it to be so heavy that Jisung felt he could smother and die in it soon.

"I'm not here to hurt you, kid. I'm here to give you a second chance at life. The life you deserve, but never got," the deep voice of the man echoed in Jisung's ears, making him even more bewildered than he already was.

Before he could speak or even think any further, the voice got directed to him again.

"Do you want to make a deal?"

Deal? What sort of deal?

Jisung felt so perplexed that his mind seemed to have gone blank for a moment, and then he processed these words in his head again.

The kidnapper wanted to make a deal with him? The only deal that Jisung could probably think of was that this grotesque person solicited money in exchange for his freedom.

"I-I'm ready to make a deal, but please let me go, "Those were the only words that came out of Jisung's mouth, as he slowly commenced second-guessing his choice.

"As I anticipated... So the deal is that I can bestow you the most precious thing you desire in your life right now... and that is... your vision. I can help you see for the first time ever in your life," the man spoke, his deep voice still quivering Jisung to the core, even though the kid had calmed down.

"See? You'll help me see again? But the doctors said my vision can never be repaired, "the fifteen-year-old, now very cynical over the intentions of his kidnapper, spoke with his tone of voice laced with skepticism.

"F**k those people who say you can't see again! If I said I can restore your vision then I f**king mean it! Don't try to act smart with me! " the man answered back to Jisung, more like yelled at him, causing the poor boy to shed a tear from the trepidation caused by his deep voice.

"I... I-I accept your deal... but what do you want in return? " Jisung made an effort to rebound the conversation as he broke down in tears again.

"Nice... what an obedient kid... You know what I want from you in return?" the man spoke merrily with a sense of achievement.

"Wh-What?" the fifteen-year-old Jisung wept endlessly.

"Your innocence."
