CHAPTER 5

Tim’s heart trembled.

How scary!

“Finish parking?” Anaya asked.

Tim nodded. He was still looking at Joshua warily, afraid the latter would rush over and twist his head off.

“Let’s go.”

Anaya walked inward with Tim, and Joshua got in their way.

“Is he your next target? I believe he’s a boy toy, right? Your taste for men is getting worse.”

The “he” referred to Tim.

As soon as the words left his mouth, Joshua regretted talking that way.

It sounded like he was jealous.

Anaya’s smile disappeared and said, “Tim is a nice guy. Please don’t judge others casually. In addition,”

Anaya walked to Joshua’s side and continued, “My taste for men is always bad, or why do you think I can marry you the bastard?”

Then Anaya walked into the hall of the hotel without looking back.

Tim hurriedly followed, feeling that Joshua was still staring at him, which made him feel uneasy and terrified.

Anaya walked into the room, and Devin had already sat there.

“I just arrived too. Ms. Dutt, please,” Devin said as he stood up.

Anaya took a seat.

The two greeted each other. Then Devin took a sip of coffee and casually said, “Ms. Dutt looks very young, but I believe you must be very experienced; otherwise, Mr. Dutt, your grandfather, won’t give this project to you.”

Anaya could tell Devin was questioning her capability in a roundabout way. Devin thought she was not a good choice for cooperation.

“It’s not the first time that I have cooperated with Riven Group. But I used to cooperate with Mr. Dutt, I mean Mark Dutt. We are much more familiar with each other. I would like to cooperate with him this time too if possible.”

“Really?” Anaya leans forward,forward slightly, crossed her hands and asked, “Mr. Chowne wants to cooperate with Mark, right? But why? Because you two are familiar with each other or because you to are familiar with each other or because you can make profits from your cooperation?”

Devin’s expression changed immediately.

“Ms. Dutt, what do you mean? Do you think that Mr. Dutt and I are working together to scam Riven? I am a man of my word. You’d better have evidence.”

Devin said as if he was full of righteous indignation, as if Annaya had, wronged him.

Anaya smiled and winked at Tim.

Tim got the message and handed the files he had prepared to Devin.

Devin took the files read, and could not ever keep his righteous look.

Anaya then said lazily, but threateningly like a poisonous snake, spitting his tongue,

“Mr. Chowne, I find the counting record when you were cooperating with Mark weird. Would you please explain where the missing money is going?”

Devin’s face was deathly pale, and he was unable to say a word for a long time.

Anaya stood up and walked to Devin’s side. She whispered to Devin‘s ears, softly like a Demon, “I remember that Sega Corporation is your brother–in–law‘s company, right? If he knew you were so reckless, would he keep you in the company?”

Devin was most afraid of his brother in law. When he heard Anaya‘s words, he could not sit still.

“Ms. Dutt, I was wrong. Please don‘t tell my brother–in–law! I will return all the money I get from the Riven group! No, no, I will double! Double!”

“Mr. Chowne, easy. I didn’t say I was going to report you.” Saying, Anaya pulled a chair and sat next to Devin. She crossed her slender and round legs and continued, “What are lost previously is a small amount of money. You are my partner. How can I report you?”

Devin understood.

He knew Anaya was telling him she would cooperate with him, instead of Mark.

However, Mark also has the evidence. Devin couldn‘t imagine what would happen if Mark got enraged.

Devin was in a dilemma and regretted what he had done very much.

I should never covet Riven Group‘s money!

Otherwise, I wouldn‘t be so awkward!

Devin hesitated for a long time before talking, “M, Ms. Dutt, Mr. Dutt told me not to cooperate with you. I do not know what to do…”

“Don’t worry, I will deal with him.”will deal

After being threatened by Anaya the day before yesterday, Samar confessed to his bugger–faced wife at home about him and the secretary.

Many married women, especially those who had children, would choose to forgive their husbands for being wilful.

Out of Samar’s expectations, his bugger–faced wife, who was always meek and cowardly, forced him to divorce her the day and took their child with her.

Her family had some power. Samar dared not offend her.

Other than a divorce certificate, Samar’s wife didn’t leave him anything.

In just two days, Jamar lost his family.

He hated Anaya so much.

Samar thought since he got the chance to investigate Tim, he decided to find the connection between Tim and Anaya and promoted Joshua to deal with Anaya for him.

However, what disappointed Samar was that Tim was just an employee of Riven Group and had no special connection with Anaya.

Suddenly, an idea struck Jamar.

No evidence? Why can’t I create some?

Coming out of the hotel, Anaya was surprised to see Joshua.

Joshua seemed to be waiting for someone.

Anaya wanted to ignore Joshua and leave, but he walked toward her. Joshua’s aura was so cold, and people might be frozen to death if they stood beside him.

Why was he still angry? Anaya thought. She had a proper lunch and Joshua still didn’t cool himself down.

Anaya stopped and waited for Joshua.

She was in a good mood and didn’t want to attack Joshua with language anymore.

To Anaya’s surprise, Joshua came over and greeted her with a slap.

Fortunately, Anaya quickly took a step back and narrowly avoided the attack.

It was a hard one. The wind brought by the slap whooshed before Anaya’s face.

Joshua must have exerted all his strength on that slap.

If it landed on her face…

“Joshua, good! You’ve learned to beat a woman.” Anaya’s eyes were cold and terrifying.

In her previous life, Joshua had also hit her.
