Chapter 5: The Heavenly Dragon Technique

...Chapter 5: The Heavenly Dragon Technique...

Li Yun and Su Yan left the cave, holding hands. They had decided to spare Chen Xuan's life, but they had taken the jade box with them. They wanted to see what was inside it.

They walked towards the main hall, where the test was about to end. They had collected enough tokens to secure their ranks, but they were more interested in the treasure they had found.

They opened the jade box and saw a scroll inside. It was made of silk and had golden characters on it.

They unrolled the scroll and read the title.

It said: The Heavenly Dragon Technique.

They gasped in surprise and awe. They recognized it as one of the legendary cultivation techniques that could enhance one's elemental power.

Cultivation was the process of refining one's body and soul, using Qi as the fuel. Qi was the vital energy that flowed through all living things, and it could be manipulated by cultivators to perform various feats.

There were different types of Qi, corresponding to different elements, such as fire, water, earth, wind, etc. Each element had its own characteristics and advantages, and cultivators could choose to specialize in one or more elements.

The Heavenly Dragon Technique was a rare technique that could allow one to master all five elements, creating a balance and harmony within oneself. It was said that only those with a dragon bloodline could practice it, as they had a natural affinity for all elements.

Li Yun and Su Yan were both shocked and delighted. They both had a dragon bloodline, which was a rare and noble trait among cultivators. They had inherited it from their ancestors, who were descendants of ancient dragons.

They felt a connection with the technique, as if it was meant for them.

They decided to try it out.

They sat down cross-legged and closed their eyes. They followed the instructions on the scroll, which explained how to circulate Qi through their meridians and organs.

Meridians were the channels that connected one's body and soul, allowing Qi to flow through them. Organs were the centers of one's body, where Qi was stored and refined.

There were twelve major meridians and eight minor meridians in one's body, each corresponding to a different organ or function. There were also five major organs and six minor organs in one's body, each corresponding to a different element or emotion.

The Heavenly Dragon Technique required one to balance all five elements within oneself, creating a cycle of mutual generation and mutual restraint. This would enhance one's power and harmony, allowing one to reach higher levels of cultivation.

There were nine levels of cultivation in total, each with its own name and characteristics. They were:

- Qi Condensation: The first level of cultivation, where one learned to gather Qi from the surroundings and store it in one's body.

- Foundation Establishment: The second level of cultivation, where one learned to refine Qi into essence and form a foundation for further growth.

- Core Formation: The third level of cultivation, where one learned to condense essence into a core and unleash powerful attacks.

- Nascent Soul: The fourth level of cultivation, where one learned to create a soul from the core and gain more control over one's life.

- Spirit Transformation: The fifth level of cultivation, where one learned to transform the soul into a spirit and transcend the limits of the physical body.

- Void Crossing: The sixth level of cultivation, where one learned to cross the void between worlds and explore other realms.

- Immortal Ascension: The seventh level of cultivation, where one learned to ascend to immortality and become free from death.

- Divine Tribulation: The eighth level of cultivation, where one faced the divine tribulation that tested one's will and fate.

- True God: The ninth and final level of cultivation, where one became a true god and ruled over all creation.

Li Yun and Su Yan were both at the peak of the Qi Condensation stage, which meant that they had reached the limit of gathering Qi in their bodies. They needed to break through to the Foundation Establishment stage, which would allow them to refine Qi into essence and form a foundation for further growth.

The Heavenly Dragon Technique would help them achieve this breakthrough faster and easier than any other technique.

They felt their Qi surge within them, as they balanced the five elements in their bodies. They felt their bodies heat up and their souls vibrate.

They felt a breakthrough coming soon.

They opened their eyes and smiled at each other.

They knew that they were about to enter a new realm of cultivation.

They knew that they were about to enter a new realm of power.
