Episode 3

I gotta say Dr. Smith was a real hottie. Even when he frowned, it only made him more attractive. No wonder so many of the nurses were fond of him.

Dr. Smith hesitated for a moment and said to my husband, "Robert, why don't you buy some medicine first?"

My sister immediately said, "I am familiar with the hospital. I'll go with him."

I nodded slightly.

When they left,

Dr. Smith closed the door and frowned, saying, "Mrs. Anderson, have you recently suffered a blow to the head?"

I nodded.

Dr. Smith smiled and said slowly, "Congratulations, Mrs. Anderson, you will recover soon."

Later,

he looked at me and said, "Mrs. Anderson, it seems that you don't want your husband to know that you have recovered. If you need anything, just let me know and I'll help you out."

I hesitated for a moment. Now that they were keeping an eye on me, I had no chance to pass on this news. Dr. Smith seemed trustworthy, especially since he was a doctor who would care about his patients. I should trust him.

Thinking of this, I took a deep breath and said, "Dr. Smith, in fact..."

Before I could finish my sentence, my husband quickly walked in.

I frowned,

and tried to seek a chance to tell Dr. Smith later.

However,

my husband said while laughing, "Brian, please cure my wife's eyes. Tonight, I'll treat you to a drink as a token of appreciation."

I was stunned,

and asked in a low voice, "Do you two know each other?"

They know each other more than well.

My husband laughed and pointed to Dr. Smith, saying, "This guy is the Chubby Smith that I often talked about."

I was confused. Dr. Smith wasn't chubby at all.

He was definitely a handsome guy with eight-pack abs.

However, I was overwhelmed in fear.

I had heard about him from my husband, but I never expected to meet him here as an eye specialist. Didn't he go abroad?

They had been best friends since childhood.

I breathed a sigh of relief, thinking to myself that how lucky I was when I didn't tell Dr. Smith about the love affair, or I would have been walking into a trap.

However, I felt that Dr. Smith was looking at me,

with a clear and piercing gaze.

When we got back home,

My younger sister was quite bothered, but her voice was full of joy. If I couldn't see her, I would have thought she was happy for me.

She was like a professional voice-over artist!

My husband's expression was also grim.

They suddenly suggested, "How about we go up to the mountains these days? The air is so fresh there and it'll be good for your health."

I sneered inwardly, wondering if they were planning to kill me now that I was about to regain my sight.

I declined immediately.

Climbing the mountain would be difficult for a blind person.
