Chapter 5

"YOU BOUGHT A WHAT?!" Emil broke through her mate's office door and started yelling

unintelligible words. "My love! Please calm down let me explain!!!"

Zenith begged.

"CALM DOWN?! ARE YOU OUT OF YOU MIND?! YOU TOLD ME YOU WOULD LET ZANE FIND A MATE FOR HIMSELF! HOW!" DARE YOU!" She stared throwing any object that she came across at her husband.

"ZEND ZENITH BLAKE, I'LL MURDER YOU!" She picked up a desk lamp ready to throw it at him. "Mom!" Mabel came running in. "Don't kill him yet! I haven't gotten married yet!!" Mabel shouted. He mother turned to face her. "Darling what brings you here so late in the night?

"...."

"I-I came to stop you from murdering my father because I haven't turned thirty yet." The woman put down her 'weapon' and smiled at her

daughter. “I would like to meet this mysterious omega your father bought with my consent." Her eyebrow twitched with anger.

"May, thank you!" Zenith thanked his daughter for sparring his life for another day.

Mabel frowned at her father, "Don't think you're free of charge just yet, old man," Mabel was

never rude or unkind to her father, so her being mean and indifferent was like a knife into his heart.

Mabel arrived in front of her brother's room along with her mother. They entered the room to find the omega in the nest he was placed in, sleeping peacefully.

Emil awed, "Who would sell such a beautiful creature?" She walked over to his side to brush away the few strand of hair from his face. “She almost looks like Nina," Emil sighed sadly. "Mom it's a he, and his name is Kirin." Mabel corrected. "Kirin?!" Emil gasped taking a step back."Yeah?"

"Kirin is Nina's only son! Don't you remember?" The middle aged woman grabbed her daughter's hand. "Go get your father!"

Zenith cleared his throat, "Come again?" Mrs Blake folded her arms. "This is Kirin Kobin, Nina's son."

"Nina's son as in the baby who died on his first birthday along with his parents in a shoot out?" Zenith confirmed. “Yes that one hunny, Jason's boy," Emil grabbed his hand. “Our family friend," she smiled sadly.

Kirin woke up to the sound of faint yelling.

Adjusting his blurred vision to the darkness he sat up and stretched a bit before he heard

shuffling.

"Good to see that your awake Kirin ..." Emil

whispered softly. He didn't reply though. "I have a question for you, young boy... do you know anyone who is named Nina?" She asked carefully.

"N-no," Kirin adjusted himself on the bed. Kirin looked behind the woman to find the two alphas he saw earlier, bickering. Kirin covered his nose, the male alpha's scent was bothering him.

"Are you okay?" Emil reached out a hand

towards him. Kirin pulled away and stared at her. She smiled, showing that she didn't mean any harm. "What's that?" She pointed at the red lines on his thighs.

"O-oh t-he tr-ade p-eop-le In-je-cted me w-i-th weird li-q-uid so- my bo-dy gets big-ger so I-i c-an lo-o-k m-ore at-active for pe-ople to by m-e. B-but th-e fect s-shou-ld w-ear off i-n the n-ex-t tw-o d-ays a-nd I-t hu-rt wh-en it we-ars off som-eti-mes.

Emil shivered with disbelief, "H-how long until it wears off?" Kirin tugged on the bandages with discomfort. "T-two to t-th-ree d-ays..." He

mumbled looking down.

"Look at this," the omega picked up a picture wanting to change the subject, sensing his

discomfort. "This, This picture right here is a

picture of your birth mother."

The woman had short curly blue hair and

matching eyes, next to her was a man with

golden blonde hair and gentle brown eyes. She had her arms under her very obvious baby bump, her pregnancy making itself known. She was

wearing a big smile, proud of what she was

carrying.

Kirin watched on. "You don't believe me? Here." She picked up a shirt and handed it to him. "This was her favorite shirt. She always wore it when she was pregnant with you," Emil smiled

bittersweet.

The shirt had on the words: "World's biggest bump!" In bright red font. Kirin brought the fabric to his nose. Emil smiled and opened her arms and embraced Kirin who found himself crying. This scent smelled familiar. It felt so close yet so far away. So comforting.

The twins who were bickering stopped

immediately after they heard the omega's soft sobs. The boy was so small in Emil's hold. It would take time for him to gain weight.

The omega fell asleep in the middle aged woman's arms, his nose stuffed with the shirt the lady gave him.

"Welcome home love," she kissed his head.
